The ending Race To The Finish can be improved with better RNG and better equipment (As I apparently didn't check for the fastest run speed bonuses or bother to check specific combinations due to the final battle RNG that happens in Smash Run.)

4:46 Man, that animation is _way_ slower than I remembered. They really sped it up in Ultimate.
Also they made it not dumb anymore. In Smash 4, it feels like the announcer is trying to keep you in suspense about who won, which is really dumb when you are watching the victory animation on-screen
Edgeperor Yeah but the older way sounds a lot less forced. The way it does it in Ultimate is way more obvious that it’s two seperate voiceclips

I really do hope they add it ultimate like they do with home run but add a lot of obstacles so you can't just blaze through with Sonic because to me it always seemed a little too easy and less of a challenge 🤣

in sonic unleashed, the plot of the game is that the planet is broken up into pieces. tails tells sonic they need to go to spagonia to find out how to fix it, and sonic says "thats a continent away, itd be a quick jog if the planet werent broken"

I always noticed it in my days of playing this game and assumed that it was just a bigger smile.
Thats not a glitch, it's a thing that happens because on wiiu there would be a short animation of him going from expression 1 to expression 2, but on 3ds they just remove that entirely and make it snap. Happens with one of the Mario ones too

I wish I could but my 3DS is glitched out
Prophacio For me it keeps saying there’s something wrong with the SD card and it just won’t play any of my games besides Mii Maker and others that are already in the system. Plus the battery life drains extremely fast (like literally after a minute) and I have to constantly play it while it’s on the charger just so it doesn’t die. Idk what happened to it but I need a new 3DS.
They have got to bring back smash run and possible adventure mode
I would rather have Smash Tour come back but with the option to modify the games mechanics much like you can with any normal Smash ruleset.
Oh and Custom Special moves. Those were cool and I'm sad they didn't come back in Ultimate.
Imagine a multiplayer Smash Run? That would be so fun for parties. And if you attack a player while searching for upgrades, you can steal their stats.

I remember this one time when I was playing Smash Run, and during the “Run!” final battle, I decided to shove someone into the final bit of lava. It was hilarious, I tell ya.

Finally a game where Sonic is as fast as he is truly meant to be
I know it would hardly mean much and would take away from the max ground speed, but having increased lateral air movement equipment on would have made the final race just a bit smoother and more satisfying. The sudden drop in momentum when jumping feels weird as heck.
I feel like smash run was an extremely underrated game mode and I would love to see it come back in Ultimate

Smash Run was a really fun mode to play or do experiments like this for example. I would take this over World of Light any day.

Smash Run and Subspace were the best things in smash games. Only downside to Smash Run is the random final battle. "Race to the top?!? I'm playing GANNONDORF!"

I always loved playing Smash Run with Sonic just to run around the big map at crazy speeds like in this video. It was always so satisfying for me to watch because the stages in the game just never had any room to run at full speed.
The real hero of this story is the cameraman or camerawoman.
How the heck Sonic stayed in frame is way beyond me.

I used to choose Sonic and grab nothing but Speed Power-Ups. 9 times out of 10 I would never get the “Run!” Stage but when I did it was truly amazing.
