[TAS] Super Smash Bros. 4 3DS: Classic Mode 9.0 Ganondorf (No Damage)

- While admittedly less impressive than a 9.0 Wii U finish thanks to not having the Master Fortress, I'm still happy that I was able to do this because it proved my hypothesis regarding the emulator's desync problems.
The key to solving the entire problem was backing up and restoring the save data for the game every single time I closed and re-opened the emulator. The only desync that occurred in the process of making this was a standard input error that happens on practically every TAS-capable emulator out there.
As for the actual TAS: Again, not really much aside from reads and some perfect shields. Do you expect me to perform intricate 0-deaths with Ganondorf of all characters?

This was done without custom equipment or custom moves. In this regard, Ganondorf is actually handicapped a bit.

Cemu doesn't have TAS support yet, but it can properly emulate several games.

@Zernek Naw, y'all r just bad, the only kills I ever got on lv nine CPUs where spikes lol, and I understand how bullshit it was, but it was still fairly easy to DEMOLISH lv nines.
I miss when Ganonciding killed the opponent first. This really brings me back.

@@AGZhark Ultimate's pretty easy in comparison imo. I found that the CPU in Smash 4 would almost always perfectly air dodge or shield your every move. It was awful.

The 3DS got Diet Adventure Mode; and WiiU got... Mario Party.
@@EvilMariobot "Diet Adventure Mode" is still replayable compared to whatever Smash Tour was. With 80+ enemies in Smash Run, it's always fun to replay each time with a different character. And the fact that 3DS had a better Classic mode than Wii U, gives the 3DS version the slight edge in winning.

@@Spingerex 3DS came out when the Wii was still thriving and only fell after the Switch was thriving. It's one of the reasons Nintendo got through the Wii U era.

The fact that Smash Bros for 3DS is a thing was mindblowing back then, we take portable Smash for granted now with Ultimate but Smash 3DS was great package full of content, and even had superior modes when compared to Smash Wii U, and it played like a dream.

Never thought the 3DS would make me feel so nostalgic there’s something about it that I just love about smash 4 (besides customs those were pretty cool)
Mine was their render style if the characters. As much as Ultimate take of realism like in Brawl, I prefer Smash 4s you really feel like there in motion.

Like all characters, AI have a window where they have to commit to not dying and recovering and can no longer air dodge to safety.
Heck, even if they can, they don't always dodge. As far as I'm aware they only have a chance of dodging.

I get this is a TAS. But I still argue you show this to people who say “Ganondorf sucks.” This proves my argument that ANYONE can be not just good, but a monster, it just matters who the player is.
Seeing the 3DS again is pretty awesome and nostalgic. Rock solid framerate too. If only you could play melee on the 3ds lol
They brought up the framerate in the reveal. Despite being Smash on a 3DS, it still had a solid 60 frames.
If GameCube emulation is possible or if someone implemented Melee's physics into Smash 4 3DS we could play Melee, but seeing how Smash 4 broke circle pads like it was nothing, Melee would do that a thousand times worse.

While Switch emulation is possible, it's very much in its infancy in comparison to consoles like the Wii or 3DS. TAS Tools aren't even a glint in the current Switch emulators' eyes right now.

It'll definitely happen someday but 3DS TAS is fairly new and that system is a handheld from 2011
