Once again, my trip to the beach with you has restored me! I look forward to every Sunday evening, so that I can go shelling! You really give me the sense of being there. When you excitedly hold a shell up to show the viewers, it feels like I really am at the beach and someone says, “come look what I found!!” I love that don’t just quickly run it by the camera, then whisk it away. I appreciate the fact that you are SHOWING me the find! I can’t wait till next Sunday!

Yes, some countries have strict rules about taking shells from the beach. We're quite lucky here and as long as the shells are empty, we're allowed to take them. Thank you so much for watching!
I wish I had found your videos before I went to Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, and Gasparilla. We did take the dolphin tour. While not finding a lot of dolphins, seeing a mom and baby chasing our boat was a memory I will always cherish.

Thanks for inspiring and interesting videos. I went to Fort Myers two weeks ago, and did a treasure seeker shell.tour because of your videos. I think I saw that same "lump" of a worn out shell.on Dickman's :) Tour was great, so many shells...found a beautiful scotch bonnet :)loved loved that I was able to name so many of the shells. My niece, who graduated with a degree in Marine Science, is always telling me little tidbits of marine trivia. She told me that “star fish” are actually called Sea Stars. It was nice hearing you say That. I live in CA. and our coasts are so very different than your beaches on the east coast. I love seeing all the shells that you can fine so readily. Thank you!
Yes, I had always thought that those 5-armed critters were "star fish" but have since learned they are called sea stars so I have changed my ways. I also didn't know sand dollars were urchins and that baby sand dollars will ingest sand to make them a bit heavier so they will stay on the ocean floor. I've picked up all sorts of fun knowledge about the things I find at the beach!
I also live vicariously through you! 😊 One of my fav things to do is Shell Hunting. I use the more worn shells as flower arranging marbles (shells in this case): I use tall glass vases, place quite a few shells in the vase (about half to 3/4s of the way up), fill with water and add roses. It makes a beautiful arrangement (change water daily, oh, and the shells must be clean. When the arrangement is tossed, I soak the shells in water with small amount of bleach for an hour & rinse, air dry). I reserve my more precious shells for my collection. I Love your vids, many thanks. ❤
What a fun idea! I'm actually glad I'm not more creative in the decorating department. I can only imagine the buckets of shells I would have for "projects." I do have shells put to the side for some things I'd like to make but I just can't seem to find the time to tackle them! Thanks for leaving such a fun and easy idea for using shells to decorate!

I'm one of those people, who would find a good looking shell pile, plant myself and scour for as long as it lasts. It seems most of the shell you love, are just ok with me. But I love to see, hear and walk with you along the ocean. I grew up and live in SoCal and the beach was like home. It's too hard to get there now, but I still dream.

I found that on the east coast - the leafy jewel box. We have lots of goodies here on the West Coast but I did find some really excellent shells over there too!
Being a landlocked Canadian. I also live vicariously through you. I love your chatter and have learned so much. I know we do not take living creatures, but I would be so tempted to keep any sea star if I was ever so lucky to see one! Don’t worry I won’t!
What a beautiful day at the beach. And finding some seashells that you haven’t found before. So much fun. My husband and I went to the beach on Saturday. We went fishing, didn’t catch anything but had a wonderful day. It was so beautiful. I am going to start going more often, even if I have to go by myself. I just love the beach, it is my therapy!!!! LoL
I thought I was the only person that goes to the beach alone. My days off are usually Tue and Wed. About 1 time a month, when I get off from work st midnight, I drive 4 hours to go to Beaufort NC. Sanibel instilled the "shelling bug" in me, but is a 13 hour drive. I must say, I have found quite a few awesome shells there. I take a ferry to a small island where I spend most of my time there. Enjoy your beach time.

After visiting Sanibel, I was hooked. I have visited VA Beach and The Outer Banks of NC my entire life. Sanibel has a slower vibe. Being older, I appreciate the simplicity of the island. It's not commercialized like other beach destinations. I may not be able to retire and move to Sanibel, but I'm hoping to be

We were at kice last week and my 16 year old daughter found a true tulip that same color as the one you show at the end of the video. It's one of her favorites! She loves tulips! ❤️

I’m still reveling in today’s finds but can’t wait until next week. That first big lump you found, yes, this land locked girl would have kept it 😂. I was able to make a quick trip to the Bolivar peninsula near Galveston over Spring Break. I found a few shells but absolutely nothing like you find there. Thanks so much for sharing weekly!
I am so very spoiled to live here. Even on days when I don't want to collect shells, I find myself walking with full pockets carrying them because I can't help myself 😅 I'm glad you got to go to the beach at Spring Break. Even if you don't go home with tons of shells, any day at the beach is a good day!

that gaudy natica is the gaudiest. Same for the alphabet cone with the 'fused' pattern. If you were to enter those in a shell show I could see either one getting a ribbon for best self-collected !
Hmmm - maybe I'll do that next year at the Sanibel show. I was rather disheartened with some of the live collected specimens (I have a thing for the critters too) but at least I know anything I entered died naturally. I'll be sure to keep them in mind for next year.
What a nice beach day. I have always wondered how you record your walks, I have watched other shelling videos and everyone's style is very different. Your videos are done very well, no crazy camera movements, and I am guessing you do voice overs because there is never any wind or other noises going on. Would be interesting to see how you set yourself up to do a beach walk, planning, packing, supplies (do they vary for each walk depending on where you are going) how you film or decide to film a particular walk. Love living vicariously through you, only rivers and lakes in Pennsylvania (LOL). Long post to say your videos are just GREAT!!!

I grew up and live in SoCal and the beach was like home. It's too hard to get there now, but I still dream.

I found that on the east coast - the leafy jewel box. We have lots of goodies here on the West Coast but I did find some really excellent shells over there too!

Being a landlocked Canadian. I also live vicariously through you. I love your chatter and have learned so much. I know we do not take living creatures, but I would be so tempted to keep any sea star if I was ever so lucky to see one! Don’t worry I won’t!
The ones we have down here don't dry out all pretty. I've tried to collect them but they're actually kind of creepy looking 😅

My husband and I went to the beach on Saturday. We went fishing, didn’t catch anything but had a wonderful day. It was so beautiful. I am going to start going more often, even if I have to go by myself. I just love the beach, it is my therapy!!!! LoL
The beach is SUCH great therapy! If I were a doctor I would order everyone at least one beach day a week!

I thought I was the only person that goes to the beach alone. My days off are usually Tue and Wed. About 1 time a month, when I get off from work st midnight, I drive 4 hours to go to Beaufort NC. Sanibel instilled the "shelling bug" in me, but is a 13 hour drive. I must say, I have found quite a few awesome shells there. I take a ferry to a small island where I spend most of my time there. Enjoy your beach time.

After visiting Sanibel, I was hooked. I have visited VA Beach and The Outer Banks of NC my entire life. Sanibel has a slower vibe. Being older, I appreciate the simplicity of the island. It's not commercialized like other beach destinations. I may not be able to retire and move to Sanibel, but I'm hoping to be

We were at kice last week and my 16 year old daughter found a true tulip that same color as the one you show at the end of the video. It's one of her favorites! She loves tulips! ❤️

That first big lump you found, yes, this land locked girl would have kept it 😂. I was able to make a quick trip to the Bolivar peninsula near Galveston over Spring Break. I found a few shells but absolutely nothing like you find there. Thanks so much for sharing weekly!
I am so very spoiled to live here. Even on days when I don't want to collect shells, I find myself walking with full pockets carrying them because I can't help myself 😅 I'm glad you got to go to the beach at Spring Break. Even if you don't go home with tons of shells, any day at the beach is a good day!
We didn’t go to kise island, we went over to I think, it was Morgan island, shells galore!!! It’s not white sand-it’s shells 🐚!!! Had so much fun!!!

that gaudy natica is the gaudiest. Same for the alphabet cone with the 'fused' pattern. If you were to enter those in a shell show I could see either one getting a ribbon for best self-collected !
Hmmm - maybe I'll do that next year at the Sanibel show. I was rather disheartened with some of the live collected specimens (I have a thing for the critters too) but at least I know anything I entered died naturally. I'll be sure to keep them in mind for next year.

What a nice beach day. I have always wondered how you record your walks, I have watched other shelling videos and everyone's style is very different. Your videos are done very well, no crazy camera movements, and I am guessing you do voice overs because there is never any wind or other noises going on. Would be interesting to see how you set yourself up to do a beach walk, planning, packing, supplies (do they vary for each walk depending on where you are going) how you film or decide to film a particular walk. Love living vicariously through you, only rivers and lakes in Pennsylvania (LOL). Long post to say your videos are just GREAT!!!
