    Thanks, we used a 1 3/4 inch metal cutting hole saw with a 4 - 6 inch extension and a power drill to cut out both baffle rings.

      dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my brother for the last few weeks xD

      You'll probably need to get an align-bore. Check crank end-play first.

      +majorcarfan Hi Majorcarfan! The cam is a 100. Thanks for watching - please subscribe! We have a '68 & a '71 Volkswagen bus we're totally restoring right now. Got video coming soon!

      Engle 100 spec = 420 lift and 276 degree duration with stock rockers. Only sounds lumpy with a single carb as it's a mild cam. Very good low to mid range power.

    Hi, so you have a full flow oil system with that exhaust? I'm wondering if it would fit because I'm rebuilding my 1600. thanks

    That’s a healthy sounding motor there. Not too much weight/vibration to have that mounted on to a wooden workbench? I guess not, but I would personally be pretty nervous

    Why would you remove the baffles? Baffled exhaust tips are what makes VWs sound so great.

    it only has the camshaft. or are the heads worked?

    • @AndruGreenwood
      @AndruGreenwood  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The engine was rebuilt but the only improvements made was installing a 100 Cam and adding an EMPI GT exhaust that we later removed the baffles out of. The heads are stock as far as I know!

    Can I make my 1500sp motor sound like this?

    • @martinharris5017
      @martinharris5017 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You sure can. Use an Empi GT exhaust and an EngleW100 cam or equivalent (.420 lift 276 duration).

      @@martinharris5017 besides the awesome sound, will this hurt power or gas mileage?

    • @martinharris5017
      @martinharris5017 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BlueLineAquatics11 No, shouldn't do. A well designed exhaust makes your engine breathe easier, straight cut gear reduce side-thrust on your camshaft. A mild street cam concentrates power in the low to mid range. As long as you drive sensibly, these things should simply make your engine run a little more efficiently.

    Uk mag volksworld dyno tested stock gt made LESS POWER than stock with peashooters,best cheap customs for power were glasspack single and doubleglasspack.FACT.

      @thebackyardgriller9076 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      John Collins are you talking about the dual quiet pack?

    • @martinharris5017
      @martinharris5017 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I saw that article! Empi Glasspack made more power than all the mega-dollar stuff, but the Empi GT made less power than a stocker. Maybe removing the baffles like these guys have done would improve things.
      I run a 1600 with 100 cam but its nowhere near a lopey as this. This sounds more like a 110?
