I know I’m a minority in this, but I don’t really play music much because I enjoy just focusing on the bike and what I’m seeing and hearing on the ride. When I do listen to music, I’m often listening inside my helmet. So, for me, this stereo system is enough.
Ditto on the stereo. Except when my crackhead neighbors are tearing things apart til 5am. Then i crank mine up when i leave at noon and theyre asleep!
If you can get it to connect 😂😂😂 sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn’t
Same. I've been riding for 50 years and never listen to a radio even though I've had 3 Harleys that had em from the factory.
@@mikeblankenship7930 If last year could be an example, I rode over 26k miles. Probably 15k was by myself while my wife rode with me the other 11k. When I was riding alone, I listened to the radio maybe 200 miles out of the 15k. When I rode with my wife, she asked me to turn some music on and we rode about 1K miles with it on. I just prefer riding and hearing the sound of the bike and other things around me. I like those sounds.
You are not the minority my friend, i never use my street glide speakers, i totally agree with you!!
The guy said "3 MORE inches of travel on the rear suspension" but it is 3" TOTAL suspension travel on the rear, up 1" from last year's 2" travel. LOVE YA ADAM!
Öhlins for me all day 😎⚡️🤙
THIS ^
@@cjsmith Can you tell me more about it? How much better is it from factory and why roll with it? Im on stock, and its seems okay to me for now.
This is the type of video I've been looking for. A chilled dude knowing what he's talking about. Thanks Adam keep the rubber side down ✌️
Anytime 👊🏼 thanks for tuning in
Thanks for the review buddy,
Your opinion means more than most!👍👍
I appreciate that 👊🏼 I pride myself on delivering honest and accurate information
Love the review, the fit and finish looks premium as always. Thanks for mentioning that part, a lot of people forget to mention that part. 😎⚡️🤙
Finally, a new bike I like the looks of and decent bars and lights actually come stock. I decided to to get slightly used 14SG thinking there would be big changes from my 81Shovel and really have not been that impressed. I've had my Shovel since new and both my wife and I actually still prefer it over the SG but it has been modified quite a bit.
Thanks for the review Adam 👍be definitely hard to say no after the test ride, I better stick to riding my 21 RG 😊it’s awesome Harley Davidson has done so many updates to the range of their bikes what & exciting year
Thanks for the review. You hit all the points.
Thanks for tuning in 👊🏼
Very happy Harley is constantly improving now. Also finally good color options this year.
They had no choice but too improve. Thanks indian
Fantastic review honest and to the point! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for tuning in 👊🏼
Great review Adam. As soon as the snow is gone im going to test one! Its new bike year for me!!
Right on!
The first thing I thought of when you spoke of the awesome led lighting and it might be bad for the aftermarket is that they might have to develop lights for other bikes than just Harley. That could be awesome for a change. I will say Eagle Lights has started to branch out though. Thank you to them for that.
Great review! Now this is the stuff I enjoy seeing. Because of your extensive history of riding, especially Harley’s, it’s a trusted review. I also like the fact that you mention what you don’t like about it, cuz let’s be real, no bike is perfect! I was a little surprised that with the suspension upgrade that you’d still want to replace them. I figured they’d be well sufficient for even a seasoned rider. I think both the new RG & SG are as close to giving the consumers what they wanted in a touring model as they ever have! They’re lighter, faster, better suspension, LED’s all around & and upgraded seat that most everyone seems to like better than last years models. This was a great rollout year for Harley in my opinion. Still want to see the RKS come back, but that’s just a selfish dream I have. Thanks Adam!! Well done!
Thanks for tuning in 👊🏼 you can always count on me to deliver fair and honest reviews - I pride myself on giving the pros and cons 💯
When you get a review from someone with the mileage CRED of Adam....you got yourself a legit honest review!
Man i hated these new 24s until i finally seen one in person now that im starting to see them everywhere they've grown on me and i kinda want one
I'm cool with doing away with the all the models (base, Spl) and having one well furnished one with their biggest "standard" motor. I would have liked the ST to stick around for the performance crowd...
As for the Special stretch bags, those could be a optional catalog item to customize with.
My only comment/compliment to the MoCo would be, I'd like to see the two-tone colors like the Specials and the Limiteds had. That red and green with vivid black would look great.
She’s a beaut Clark! Prolly gonna grab one of these in the spring.
Nice! 👊🏼
That is a Beast! I LOVE it! Thx for sharin Adam
Thanks for tuning in 👊🏼
I'd been hearing a lot of great things about this year's model. So I started looking into them and once I saw Adam had a review I knew I'd have my answer. Looks like I'm getting a new bike...
I appreciate your confidence in my opinion 👊🏼 I do my absolute best to deliver honest reviews 💯
Dude I bought the Road Glide ST from last year and it's a great bike but man the base road glide this year is killer. Makes me wish I would've waited, lmao.
Same :(
Glad you mentioned the control switches, buttons. Those little details, That is where you see a difference in quality, attention to detail of a modern Harley Davidson, believe it or not. Indian switches look loose and really cheap. Same for the Japanese bikes.
I’m so in love with it already. And I trust your judgement , ya just rode a brand new tricked out 23 road Glide special around the country. Hope to meet ya one day.
Hopefully we cross paths on the next Great American Convoy 👊🏼 Details coming soon
Great video Adam. Only thing I see that I wished it had was the heel shifter. I am old school and love my heel shifter.
I agree, love the heel shifter on my 2010 RG. Think you can have it added.
I have not ridden a road glide yet. I will definitely get on one this year.
I highly recommend!
Dang it..... I've wanted a road glide for years. Looks like i may end up getting one b4 too long. Thanks for the review. I trust ur opinion because I know how much u ride
You won’t regret it 💯 let us know what you end up with 👊🏼
Thanks for your review
Thanks for tuning in 💯
....just bought one....love it! So much better ride than last year....hopefully no new design electric gremlins 🙏
You nailed it! Great video!
Thanks!
Agree on the hand buttons wish there are lit up at night not a big thing but would be nice
I agree, not the hugest deal but definitely makes a difference 💯
Way to make me have buyers regret HD! I took delivery of a 23 RGST in November and am thinking maybe I should have waited for the 24 models!
Anyway, those are the breaks. I will just have to ride the wheels off the ST and look to upgrade in 25. Nice review Adam.
Thanks for tuning in 👊🏼
Great informative video, Adam! I traded in my 21' SG Special and picked up my new 24' Road Glide yesterday!!! The color is the new Whiskey Fire. Having owned nothing but Street Glides in the past 20+ years, this is my first Road Glide, and I am very impressed with the ride and power, I can't wait to start putting on some miles.
Congrats on the new bike! 👊🏼
@@adamsandoval Thank you!!
Seen the new releases from Laidlaw's channel. Im not a fan of the fixed fairing but this bike looks great. That's coming from a Victory guy who is looking at the Indian Chieftain for the next ride.
thank you !! great video!
Really good review I’m going to for sales event to test drive the 2024 models planing to buy in April
Right on!
I wish they'd bring back the Electra glide standard as an entry level bagger
Me too.I had one years ago.
Looks awesome
Pick mine up Friday, Vance and Hines pipes getting put on and 13" klock werks windshield and stereo Fosgate upgrade. See ya in Siouxfalls SD again?
Nice! Congrats on the upgrades! I’ll have the route released soon 👊🏼
If all goes well I'll be picking mine up tomorrow!
Right on!
The software was redesigned also. No start issues with 117 mph speed for governor. Now reduced to 101 mph. Hope their speedo doesn't read 5 to 7 mph fast like my Softail does.
Great review! Looks real good in black!
What kind of sunglasses are you rocking?
Best Review I've watched, so far. I'm Sold.
Thanks for tuning in 👊🏼
Should just get an Indian Challenger. This is the same bike.
I just purchased the 2024 Street Glide Blue Burst yesterday. I added the king tour pack The long hual package n stage 2 Rockford Fosgate front n saddlebag speakers n amp.
Right on! Congrats on the new bike! 👊🏼 safe travels
Thank you. Ride safe too brother.
I'm trading in my 2020 Ultra Limited Zephyr blue n black with almost 72k on it.
What’s the out the door price before adding the extras?
Just sold me totally, I went to the press release ,saw the bike up close and iam thinking black with chrome .
I don’t blame ya. I’m pretty tempted too 💯
I REALLY LIKE THE LOOKS OF IT!
Definitely major improvements since the era of your Warhorse
👆🏼that’s the truth
Brand new from the ground up!! Great to see.. Is it any way comparable to the Indian Challenger you own? Now it's 4 years old, but if HD calls it new, it's probably new. I was just wondering if it's comparable of this similar 4 year old bike?
I want to know this as well!
Same frame
Great review! 🤙🏻 The ups and the downs. A true honest review. That’s why you’re the G.O.A.T. See u soon brother.
I appreciate that 🙏🏼 Fair and honest is the name of the game when it comes to reviews 💯
Looks nice but I've never understood why they gas cap hinge isn't on the front side.
I test rode a ‘24 Street Glide. Phenomenal. If they’d only included the Road King Standard in this update. Maybe in ‘25?
Great review. So many reviewers just put on a helmet cam, then ride around yammering away about the bike and all you ever see are the handlebars and windshield. I was just at the dealership today lookin’. Those little plastic fairing pocket doors are kind of thin and cheap. And I didn’t like the style of the wheels. The spokes have an odd shape. But that wasn’t enough to turn me off.. I wound up buying an Onyx White Pearl Road Glide with Chrome trim.😊
Congrats on the new bike! 👊🏼😎
I really like it. Wish they wouldn’t have put the old enforcer wheels it though.
My 24 RG is suppose to be here in of this month. Trading my 2023 ST. All great changes and I am really looking forward to getting on it. My major complaint is that they didn't paint the inner fairing on these models. That in itself detracts feel and value in my eyes. Literally, that is my only complaint and its minor so I am thrilled to give it run.
Good observation
Love you J!!
Me too.
LOL I've been watching your videos for years and I've gotten to the point I know when you're getting a new bike there will be this 2024 motorcycle
in your stable of motorcycles.lol 👍✌️
🤣 I’m super tempted!
Very nice!
Basically the same frame from 2014, still has the hole in the rear fender struts for the old air shocks
They are awesome but I’m sure you’d need the 24 CVO ST!! Try and test ride that one!!!
I’d love to!
Yo adam, hey man love your style, the channel. Great content keep up the good work. Also review some Indians. I think they have some great bikes as well
just bought one last night, Whiskey Fire Red, blacked out!
Congrats on the new bike!
How much was it out the door
Adam haven’t finished watching the video but pretty particular that the seat in the middle looks like someone else’s seat😂
@0:36 “ 3 more inches of travel on the rear.” Lol I understood what he meant, but that would make almost 6” of travel. We’ll settle for 3” total.
Adam, the engine air blockers, I had some on my 2013 Road Glide Ultra. They don't leave air into the rider. Last year, I took them off, and the air flow to the rider was way more. In the heat in the lower 48 is so hot, so now I was way cooler and much more enjoyable. So bottom line nice when it's cold but nicer for me with them off! What is your opinion?
I say, whatever gives you a more comfortable ride 👍🏼
Adam, please tell me what sunglasses you have on?
Adam .. love it! Today I have a street glide special. Do you like road glide better? Would love to hear your thoughts
Haven’t gotten on the new street glide, to be able to compare
So today I compared the bags between my Fast Johnnie and the new CVO model and the bags are truly more floppy… thinking the durability will be sketchy.
I must admit, I am liking the new look. In the beginning, when I saw the 23 CVOs hated them! However, they’re growing on me. 2025 will be buying a new Road Glide or Street Glide. Have a 2015 Risd Glide.
I’m digging the CVO too 💯
I hear that I keep my radio low too
I prefer the stretch bags of the previous special models. I also dislike that ugly air cleaner. Other than that, i would say harley is moving in the right direction.
They actually have stretched bags available and you can always change the air cleaner even during ordering one
Would you compare the rear suspension on this bike VS the Low Rider ST? Im going to get either this Road glide or the Low Rider ST. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I wish they had done these updates on the Ultra Limited
Me too! Would love to see the Ultra Ltd updated with cool new stuff like the RG
On another video, I think their guess was they kept the limited the same for this year so they can get rid of all the access material. Next year they will update it. I think they are trying to get this out to the public so they see the sales behind the redesign, and then they will go with from.
I was going to buy a 24 Road Glide Limited this year. I wasn’t happy to see no change at all from 23. I just bought a regular 2024 Road Glide today. Onyx white pearl with chrome trim.
I’m dressing it with a full sized tour-pak with integrated rear brake/turn lights as well as the wrap around passenger back pad. I’m also getting rear saddlebag crash bars. As far as the Limited goes, all that’s really missing will be the lower fairings, rear speakers, and heated grips.
@@jimtownsend6139 I think you will be much happier with the standard RG over the Limited. I think it was stupid that they kept the Limited with older tech whilst the Standard has new tech. I built a Standard on the Harley website and I had more updated stuff for less money than the Limited. Plus, a 117 motor instead of a 114 too! Congrats on your new bike Jim! DING DING DING🔔🔔🔔‼Oh yeah baby!
Hey Adam… from an ergonomic / wind protection / wind noise perspective, would you say that the new fairing design is an improvement?
I would say so. 💯
I get why they went to one model on a lot of those but I feel like the standard and special were good models because for some one on a budget the standard was a good buy at $21,999 msrp on a bagger
I agree the standard actually helped people get into the bagger type of bikes, but I think these are actually now cheaper. I think they took it and said let’s just go ahead and have everything into one model instead of saying we should a standard and a special with a big price difference. So I think they combined both models and made this.
@@JacobDowney-uq7tv man that would be awesome if they actually stuck to MSRP but what I feel like is going to happen is what dealers have been doing for the last couple of years and not just Harley Davidson but all of them is there going to mark these bikes up and they’ll be 30k before anything and I think MSRP was post to be $26k . Around my area in middle Tn they have had bikes marked up so high that there are still some 2022 Roadglide specials floating around that Iv seen some asking $30k plus and 2023 I was quoted $36k out the door just a few months ago and I feel like they are hurting them selves by doing this
The one thing I don't know that I like on this bike is the flat black inner fairings. Both the Road Glide and the Street Glide models. Gloss black would look better.
Was done to reduce sun glaring up at you. Makes good sense to me.
This is making my decision between a new pursuit and a Road Glide much harder, leaning towards the Road Glide.
I don’t blame you 💯
Mine too , but I am at 98,000 on my victory , since a pursuit is basically the same bike., I am leaning that way . I have been very happy with this 11 year old Victory. I’m still edging to the Pursuit, but I’m gonna go out and put some miles on both before I spend 40 grand.🍻
@@jeffpalmer5502 I’m on a 16 Victory XCT with Arnott air suspension, Andrew’s 413 cams, Maximus tuned by Neo, and a ton of other goodies. I think I got a dud tho, because it lacks in power imo and the vibration that comes thru the floorboards above 75 mph put my feet to sleep. I’ve put 20K miles on it… ready for something better. My buddy had a complete stock 22 DH challenger and it was better in every way - better ride and way more power.
Are the switches backlit?
Will a T-bar setup block your view of the new screen? Can you move the instruments in the screen to see them with a Tbar setup?
I’m not sure about moving the instruments in the screen 🤷🏼♂️
Nice-looking ride. My brother has a 88 Heritage Softail Classic with a 1449 engine. We put it in the shop to have them replace the oil filter and for some reason they took off the oil cooler and never put it back on without saying why and now when he takes it out for a ride it will get hot and cut off. He never had that problem before , before it was taken off. Would it be a good idea to put it back on? It's a beautiful ride and I sure don't want to see him mess it up by being (Stubborn)!!
Idk enough about that to offer any advice 🤷🏼♂️ wish I had a better answer for ya 👊🏼
@@adamsandoval No pro,thks!!
These new road glides definitely look sweet. Would be great to see you compare it to the Indian challenger. As an Indian guy who just got a new pursuit i will take your advice and not test ride. Ha
Congrats on the new pursuit!
Thanks brother. It’s a beautiful ride.
larger frount disc also
That fairing looks hit. Polaris? Like the tech, but the look is a little lacking to me. This review has me liking it a bit better, but the look is a big adjustment.
what about the center of gravity? The Indian Chieftain has an astonishing low center of gravity. Thoughts?
love hd's my whole life. Bought an Indian 3 years ago and love it. the competition is good for both companies AND us. BUT, why not full water cooled?
🤷🏼♂️ not sure why they went that way
A bike that weighs 800+ pounds has under 100hp (check cycle worlds dyno the 117 make 93-95 hp) and is limited to only 110mph does not require rider modes...smh 😒
Does the 1 inch of travel make a big difference?
I have a 2019 Road Glide Ultra that I love (and it's paid off)
So, I'm in a battle with myself. I love the hill-breaking feature, as I have a small amount of arthritis in my hands, and that would be a GOD send to
have help on hills (I live in S.C near Augusta Georiga), and they have a LOT of hills, so this would be a big help.
I love the screen, it's bigger and easier to see, especially for long-distance traveling.
The seats and lack of a tour pack are a turn-off, though I could add the tour pack and get another seat, which would affect the overall pricing with my paid-off trade-in.
Also, my understanding is the bike is lighter than previous models, but by adding back in the tour pack, you're just adding back in the weight.
Question: How is gas mileage. Is there an improvement?
Also, how is the sound system? Is there an improvement? Or would upgrading to a step-up sound system be the best option. As a military guy, I've lost some hearing, and while my 2019 has a good sound system, more sound would always be great. So, did they improve the sound system on the new 2024 Road Glide?
The one thing that bothers me is the damn "pegs" they have for the passenger. If you are going to do any type of long travel, floorboards are the best option, so why those are not standard is baffling to me.
NOTE: I love riding from S.C to Florida, and that's about a 9-hour trip depending on how often I take a break (usually when filling up)
So, the question I guess I have to ask is: Is the trade-in worth it?
A lot of these answers would be rider specific. My best advice would be to go throw a leg over one and see if it’s worth it for you personally 💯 I think you be pleasantly surprised 😎
@adamsandoval Well, I actually did that on Tuesday, June 19th.
I will say the only thing that I don't like about it at this particular point is the windshield which I am replacing.
I simply cannot understand why harley davidson went with a low profile windshield
Inner fairing needs painting 😂😂😂
I would love to see u do a comparison video between this and the Indian I still think u make out better overall by going either challenger or pursuit but would love to hear from someone who has been on both
I might do that 🤔
@@adamsandoval I hope u do I am curious to hear your thoughts, it was very good the last time you did it when the challenger came along.
Man I had a challenger, and now I'm on 23 HD RGS I bought a month ago, the Challenger is a million times better than the harley, but the Indian dealer/parts/warranty network is a NIGHTMARE, switched to Harley purely because of the service/network
Very cool Honda!😂😂😂😂
I'm "shocked" at the outrageous price they're asking!
prices are insane
@@safelyanonymous5717 And finally including LED lights? My 2010 Toyota RAV4 came with LED lights standard.
@safelyanonymous5717 😂😂😂 you leave your house much? An indian challenger is more money that a standard road glide. And FTR1200 is MORE money than a sportster S. An Indian sport cheif is MORE than a lowrider S. A BMW gs1250 is MORE than a Pan America. So go ahead and complain more. Cuz they are all priced right where they should be.
@@fvgc454ss The Challenger is way more motorcycle than the road glide. You can put a stage 4 in a Road Glide and it still doesn't beat the power of a challenger. You're looking at $8,000 on top of the base Road Glide price. Or you can spend over $10,000 on the 131 crate engine. So every Indian you mention blows the Harleys away. Also, you don't mention the superior Japanese branded adventure bikes that are less expensive than the Pan America. So yes, the Harley-Davidsons are way overpriced. As they say, tomorrow's prices for yesterday's technology. 😂😂😂
@LG-zd1um 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 keep telling yourself all these things. Hey dummy when did HD, Mv Agusta, Ducati, BMW, Aprilia ever make cheaper bikes than the Japanese? Never lol gtfoh
Do you mean the cheap feeling of the buttons on challenger?! This is what I felt from your emphasis on quality
Not the challenger, specifically, just from my experience rising many bikes over the years
Ta pretty nice new bikes and ya all bikes should come with LED’s
Bummer I was hoping you’d test the brake hold assist
On the 23 cvo (I picked up last summer)
It works in neutral I was hoping you’d test that
If you tried it can you confirm it works
I can’t comment on that since i don’t put that to use. Sorry about that 👊🏼
How's the wind buffering with a helmet? I have a Heritage classic and the wind is terrible with a helmet. Feels like getting slapped over and over.
I had no issues 💯
That cvo carbon fiber with the intake sticking out so sick.
👍.....SOLD 😎
You and me both! I’m super tempted 💯
now when is the ride/review of the street glide?
I’ll have to throw a leg over one of the new ones 💯
So , first you spend $28k on a Harley and then half the bike has to be replaced by after market accessories because Harley thinks they are above making a bike that actually has decent suspension and overall quality without having to spend $45k on a CVO. That's why I switched to Japanese and European bikes 10 years ago.
Not so sure about all the "rider safety enhancements". REALLY would prefer touring bike with out all the "nanny" features. Honestly, only thing we're missing is audio coming thru stereo "You're going to fast", "Don't follow that car so close", etc..
What do ya'll think about the cheap and chinsey plastic inner fairing? IMO this totally ruins the whole asthenic and feel of the bike when I sat on it. These are 30K bikes out the door, shouldn't we get a premium feel for a premium price? Maybe its just me.
I didn’t see a problem with it 🤷🏼♂️
Looking forward to Convoy 2.0. I think the HD 2024 lineup is very strong.
Very good review. It will be interesting to see what the sales numbers for BMW, Honda and others will be this year for their baggers.
I’m interested to see that too💯
Not too shabby. Gonna have to ride one before I buy the Persuit.
I upgraded my Vics sound system with a 400 w” Hawg Wired “ amp and speakers. They’re US made and sound great! Ride well and ride on !
I would definitely give it a test ride 💯
The Indian P was my call. Period and of story.
