I would love to see this bike get the Sportster S gauge. With the maps feature and the Bluetooth control, it would make it feel more like a mini-touring bike and add an insane amount of functionality.
I bought the 2023 white sand pearl. Love the bike. I believe the 2024 model might have the traction control system included, where the 2023 model did not, which may be the reason why the increased MSRP, not counting the color charge. Outstanding bike! I put on front controls, sundowner two up seat, luggage rack, LED signals front and back, a thrashin supply fork back, traction control, stage 2 462 power cam, a cobra neighbor haters exhaust. Going to run this bike like crazy!!! Also, I do love the gauges - with no concerns. Excellent review again - thanks.
I’ve test ridden all the new softails and own a ‘23 street bob and I agree the ST is the best bike Harley has made IMO. Also fully agree with the statement on the fairing, I really don’t understand the desire and hype around the FXRT/P fairing, I find them ugly and overbearing but to each their own. The leaked photos of red rock weren’t promising but seeing it in video and in pictures in sunlight I actually like it
I think it’s all about the suspension. It just feels so balanced when you ride it. I’m glad there is now an option to add the ST fairing to other models. Maybe the P/T fairing will fade away. lol
I own a '23 Low Rider ST and it's the best all around bike I've ever owned. BUT ... why the hell does a twenty thousand plus motorcycle come with incandescent bulbs in the turn signals? Why?
for this price, I just don't see why you wouldn't pay a grand or two more for a street glide or road glide and get all the extra features. This bike should be under 20k.
Spent years riding motorcycles from dirt bikes as a kid, sport bikes and cruisers. I have never had a HD and now that i am 54 I want to get back to riding. Really looking at the Lowrider ST. So far you are my favorite HD reviewer mainly because I lean towards your preferences and riding style you talk about. Anyway, I don't see any videos on gear such as helmets, gloves, boots and riding pants. Could you put out a video on something like that. It would really help with my search I have already started. Thanks
i love the ST but its sized for people 4'3" and under, i just test rode one a couple of days ago and my knees were under my chin and it had extended pegs and im only 6'1",....i ended up going with the road king special instead.
I’m 5’11 and feel like it fits me well but I can see how being any taller than me it may not work. I also love the RK. One of my first reviews was on a custom built RKS and I still dream about that bike. However we did mid controls on that one too so probably wouldn’t have worked for you. The Road King just has such a classic HD look it’s almost timeless.
Love my RK, the standard RK was the best value in the lineup in my opinion. I would like to get the tinted windsplitter windshield HD made for a while. Stock one buffets a lot.
Great insight and detail for the ST! I believe this color will be a success for many...it pays omage to the early FXRT bikes along with the El Diablo, kind of a mixture of emotion. Awesome bike and special note the risers are slightly relaxed back compared to the Lowrider S which helps with touring. I'm 6'2" and love the fit and feel...kinda boy racer feel with the mids... wouldn't have it any other way. Keep up the great work!! 😀
Beautiful bike to look at thanks to the fairing and saddle design. Very enjoyable to ride as well. But honestly, that fairing has absolute no use except to help the bike look better. And the saddle is too small for long trips.
My fairing is even smaller and I used to think it didn’t do much either until it broke and I started riding without it. Lol I have found on longer rides my hips can get cramped. I run engine guards just to have a place to stretch out. I just don’t care for traditional highway pegs.
I think those look Fabulous! I myself would love to see Harley doin a production build with 12” apes and Forwards. Some of us want a classic feel on a Modern lookint bike.
@@throttleblip9854 i am SOO into mini floorboards on this! Great idea. I think Megs journey chick put apes on and it looked fabulous! Happy New Year brother!
8:45 "Harley Davidson has always has really really good brakes" Um....no, they haven't. They do now, thanks to Brembo. 14:05 Bags come off for maintenance, cleaning, and tire changes. Not for looks.
What they don't tell us yet: Don't be shocked when you attempt to trade in your current bike for a 2024 only to find it's now worth $3k to $6k less than it was before the reduced price 2024's came out!! By the way Hill hold Assist is an OPTION to the RDRS and Car Play only works after you buy the Cardo headset! There IS A SURCHARGE for HD maps/traffic & weather; $350 for 3 years.
Do you know why / what's the purpose of the cross over pipe between the exhausts? I hate that mini gauge - but i'm glad there are no gauges on the tank! That light made it debut on the Sport Glide.... I'm not as excited about those bronze wheels as the rest of the world - but I get it - keeps down manufacturing costs I prefer forward-ish controls - these stock ones bring my feet way too high - maybe i'll get used to it Hate Hate Hate the bags and also hated on the Sport glide IMHO It's best to get the "S" and add what you want.... .. not crazy about the snorkel air cleaner either lol is that badging embossed/raised?
I bought a 2024 low rider st first time having this type of fairing. I noticed there is some noise when going over some bumps. Is this normal it’s almost like a chatter sound? Thanks in advance
What are the odds that Harley will ever address the bag size issue? They scallop their other bags, why couldn't they have done that with these? Great looking profile for the bags, but I'm big on symmetry (might be silly to some, but if I'm spending big $$ I want to like all of it). Oh, and those speakers are nowhere near plug and play (I've watched install videos). It's like HD went out of their way to do some odd things with an otherwise great looking bike (and I am not a Harley fan in general).
First of all i want as much light as I can get. That being said the front light is one single light. I want running lights like my Deluxe does up front. The rear as bright as lights as possible. Why do I say all this?I was rear ended sitting at a traffic light many years ago.
Does that heavy breather get in anyone else’s way? Say in a Lowrider S and it’s digging into my knee. Other than that, this bike looks amazing in that red
Don't care at all for the instrument cluster or the bags on the ST. I think I'd rather get the Low Rider S and get the Advanblack fairing and their touring bike style bags for it.
Yeah and when the sun is on it you can't see it at all. A lot of guys are going to the analog style of the Lowrider S. My next bike won't even have one lol. I've got a good idea of when I'm speeding and when I'm not. haha
In the 1980’s I had a ‘49 EL chopper with no speedometer. But it had a four speed transmission and probably only made about 50hp. I think it would be harder to keep the speed limit on a modern bike. Well maybe my Honda crf 300 could be ridden at the speed limit but not my BMW 1200 GSA or my Road King.
I went down to Harley to check this bike out, and I have to say I was a little disappointed. It has no tech, and the grip circumference was way too small. I will wait until 2025 to see if they make any changes.
I got the low rider s instead. Not a fan of fairings. I love the wind. Don't like the small gauge on handle bars either. My opinion the low rider s and st are the best bikes Harley makes
seems to me HD is throwing the mifddle finger to it's legacy customer base. limited 2024 models (what, no street glide!), limited colors, and extreme price increases will force more people to take a serious look at Indian.
Well it's amazing and everything but 23.000 $ ! I think Harley should really consider that this is exactly why people going for the Japanese bikes every time
Harley's biggest innovations now days are paint colours, lol. No other progression, this bike could have came out 10 years ago and wouldn't be any different
HD phoning it in. Absolutely no change to the previous model other than the “new” ketchup colour and a higher price tag (and that’s MSRP. Dealers prices could be more). And then they wonder why their sales continue to slump.
Looking at trading in my 21 Sportster S 1250 this year. So I was looking at a S or ST. I was really wanting to like this color... but it's horrible. Seeing this color in person and taking a test ride, I think this is the ugliest color HD has ever put on a bike. So I'm going to be going with a Sharkskin Blue S.
@throttleblip9854 the Streetglide and the big pigs. The Roadglide looks OK but not a huge fan. Don't like farings especially these on the sportier HD's.

I would love to see this bike get the Sportster S gauge. With the maps feature and the Bluetooth control, it would make it feel more like a mini-touring bike and add an insane amount of functionality.
It’s the single reason I haven’t upgraded yet from my Sportster S. The electronics package of the Sportster S is just awesome.
I was thinking the exact same thing!
Especially as that is essentially what the Indian Sport Chief has.
No way. I find the strip display far cleaner in terms of look.

Sounds like a solid build! I love the white sand color. That would likely be the color I’d get if o end up buying a used one. Appreciate the love!
@@throttleblip9854I also bought the White Sand Pearl but the dealer ordered mine with TC
Weird… my 23 ST has traction control 🤷🏻♂️ it’s a white sand pearl as well

Because Harley likes to cheap out and force its customers to buy overpriced accessories the bike should have come with in the first place…

Now THAT is the color the LRST should come in! Damn that's beautiful.
It's ugly asf in person, in my opinion. It was parked next to the grey once I bought... I wouldn't have bought the orange.
@@OldManShoutsAtCloudsdisagree
The Rockford’s sound better and and surprisingly louder than I was expecting for the size. I would recommend the upgrade if anyone on the fence.
I had it installed before the bike was delivered , it does sound good
I rather pay the price for this than the 2023 RG CVO. Rode both, Lowrider ST wins in my book.
Blair you say you like integrated lights but I believe for safety separate blinkers are a good option
I just bought this bike and gray 6 days ago and by far it is the most awesome motorcycle I have ever bought and traded in my 2000 Fatboy to get it

Very nice bike, I had one in 2017. One thing I didn't like was a very small gadget speedometer so small. I probably can't even see what there!
I have a 23 that I’m going to wrap in blue since Harley doesn’t seem to ever really expand their color pallet.
