I think a good change to the ghostess would be to make her have a desk, with millions of papers on the desk and behind her, they could be the death certificates of all the ghosts in the mansion, she could have a book in front of her that is the ledger for guests and she could be offering the pen to sign, her flowers could sit in a vase on her desk, that way she give the impression of her being actually being a sort of hostess and her character would then be shown to have more significance and she can be adapted to more versions of the ride

Given the vague nature of Little Leota, ive always held that it's some sort of left over lingerings of the proper Leota's power.
Like as Leota's power is theorized to be what summons the ghosts, then a 'weaker' Leota is closing the spells, etc.

I 100% believe she’s supposed to be a haunted doll, it makes no sense that she’s far away because there is no additional forced perspective. She could possibly be possessed by leota herself

I wouldn’t say she would be out of place at the haunted mansion. They’re essentially fantastical entities as a whole

I mean if she can manifest in a separate crystal ball outside the mansion I figure why not through a small statue

I just can’t get behind the projection on Constance
It works great for Leota and the singing busts (and that was back in the late 60s) but the projection and the mannequin it’s projected on comes out all oblong
