I had heared of the Hat Box legend growing up and wished he would return to the Haunted Mansion.....I was happy to hear he returned in 2015. Sadly by that time I had moved from Calif to Colorado...and have only seen his return on youtube videos....I haven't seen him in person yet.
I have been questioning if they did have it in 76? I SWEAR I saw him! He has been my favourite since that time and I am 51yrs old! I really like your other theories and the different versions I never heard of!!! So cool!
Loved this video!!! I had no idea the original Hatbox Ghost was recycled for Sam the Eagle and later made its way to Splash Mountain, that’s honestly crazy. Please post more soon!!
Spoiler for the 2023 haunted mansion movie: The hatbox ghost was of a man named Alistair Crump, he was the son of a wealthy Louisiana socialite, albeit cruel, in the late 1900s. After the death of his mother, his father kicked him out for crying too much at his mother’s funeral, Alistair was left with nothing and disappeared, rumored to be traveling the world learning about mysticism and dark arts until he returned to his childhood home as a grown man, and regained control of the entire mansion when his father passed away "under mysterious circumstances.” Alistair resumed his father's lavish parties and invited all of the guests he felt poisoned his father against him, ending each one in a murder spree. Eventually, his own horrified staff caught up to him and beheaded him
To me the original bride is Constance and the original hatbox ghost is the current one and there’s wierd time dialation so in the ride what’s long to us is like a week so to me hatbox was one who helped Constance they slowly fell in love and after Constance got all her wealth they would get married but on the wedding day or day after she died thus being the heart beating bride and then found her hatchet and then would decapatate hatbox so they could be together and are and the original version was a thought of the bride so originally Constance was sad after dying but then calmed down and decided to kill her true love the hatbox ghost so they could live together after having an illusion of him so the different versions are all the same character
The painting with a woman in a pink dress with a person in a suit, I think that is a woman in the suit. Not judging but think it is a woman dressed as a man. I do wonder what that painting is called.
The Hatbox Ghost is one of my favorite characters from The Haunted Mansion along with Constance Hatchaway and Sally Slater, of course. 😱

I like Fan Fiction stories....depending on the subjects.. they tend to be more interesting.
You forgot how he had a cameo in the Halloween episode of "House of Mouse" and his appearance in the Disney XD Halloween bumpers.
Can you do the Opera Singers or the King, the Queen, and the Duchess?
I’ve watched all of your videos and would be interested to hear/learn more about the ghost host.

Hattie wouldn't touch Constance with a 10 foot barge pole.
It’s possible that The Hatbox Ghost might be the ghost of George Hightower

I hope you're going to continue a video of Phantom Manor and Mystic Manor

My dad wants to go somewhere else not the Haunted Mansion.😂
I like The Hatbox Ghost Story especially when Mr. Gracie did killed her Bride before the Wedding and later turned Evil.
It might be possible that Madame Leota created an effigy doll of Master Gracey, so she controlled his actions by killing both Emily and the Hatter.
What happened to you?
