- PART TWO COMING AT YOU! Yall ready for this series Dating?? We think it will encourage a lot of people whether you have been on 100 dates or 0 dates.
so what is on my heart today... I think what is on my heart today is TRUE VALUE. Like finding TRUE VALUE in the things that matter...I think it is very easy for all of us to get caught up in what we are told to value... looks, cars, how someone proposed, etc... And I'm not saying those things aren't good... I love that I am physically attracted to my wife, I do have a dream car (that I hope to get one day) and I proposed in a thoughtful way on purpose! But those things are just additions to our life, they do not give it meaning and value. There are so many other things we need to value like our health. Like did we call a loved one today... Like did we take time to be kind to someone today (EVEN IF THEY DID CUT US OFF IN THEIR CAR)... In the same way God looks at things and values them differently we should seek to do the same. That means we need to unpack the things we are chasing, and ask why we are chasing them...If it is something that provided true value to our life versus a perceived value (because societies tells us we need it) then we need to bump those down on the priority list.)
STEPPING OFF MY SOAPBOX but for those of you who are here for some little tips on stuff we are working on here is a small riddle... they will become less and less vague as the time approaches.
I heat things up, but cool things down at the same time.

When I met my boyfriend, I did not believe in God, but in our second date he invited me to his church, so I went with him just to see what he did every Sunday and it didn't take a long time for me to believe in God and all He is ❤️ I am born again and now we have been together for 2 year with my boyfriend! God is good! ❤️

I was in an unequally yoked 7 year long relationship that I eventually got up the courage to end. If I had listened to the warnings from others (and the bible) about finding someone who shares the same beliefs as me, I would have avoided a lot of heart ache. Dating someone with a different belief than you is the most isolating thing. Not only that, but as a Christian, my beliefs dictate how I live my life so someone who does not accept the Christian faith is operating from a different "life manual" and will therefore rarely meet expectations. And no, you will not magically "show them the light." That's why I stayed so long, I was hoping and praying for a conversion and change so that the relationship could have hope (ironically the conversion happened to him post-breakup).
I have now found a Christ-centered relationship and it is the most beautiful thing to see a man pursue God and to pursue me in such a pure, loving way. All glory to God for helping me through the struggles and leading me to the man of my dreams.
I am learning everything about christian relationship from you guys.
I was with a non believer for 8 years, I become unbeliever myself, unhappy and toxic. Got out of it, come back to faith (Jesus found me) and feel so whole and happy, my life is so much more peacefull.
I wish for a spouse with whom I can talk freely about Jesus and grow, and create something genuine and amazing. It is hard to keep faith in it thought or have a complete trust in God (I have trust issues), but sometimes it is funny to see how God protects me from a wromg person witch I see as a right one or want him to be a right, but with time I realise that nope, that behavior is unacceptable.

I am trying to break generational curse. I am from dysfunctional family and I never saw how a healthy relationship is. My parents passed away while I was teen so I was really angry with God and dissapointment that I made bad choices one after another and relationships were the worst ones.
My ex was unbeliever he did not explained properly that he was still married, I got pregnant. Now I am single mom, but kids are a real blessing. I realised that my mother never had a loving stable and long relationship and every 6 years a partner would be changed. She just could not be alone.
I almist made same mistake but God used my pride to shift me in a good direction and I am celibate 1 and a half years. Healing is very painful process, forgiving is not easy and in a healing process God brings out all old wounds that become rotting, dysenfects and heals but it is a slow process and often faith is tested. In case like this I do have trust issues with God but I also scared to lose Him.
I often reject God plan as I perceive it as painful and God image painted in my head was as scary and jealous so I was in the loop of thinking that he wants me alone, but I read Bible, fellow christian testimonies on youtube just to see how devil can use your weakness. Yesterday it hit me, I am too weak for a godly spouse. If my faith is not strong enough, I can easily bring another christian down so I am ok now just with healing and growing in Him.
As Chad said that if a guy pishes you boundaries just to delete his number, I did that even thought I was so attached to that person. It was just comfirming what God wants me to do.
P.s. God blessed me and my kids with a bigger apartment and a cheaper price, just to show how Awesome He is and how He provides. And I did not expected.
So I am soo against dating a person with different belief and view system, because it breaks you.
I am happy to learn from Tori and Chad something I did not learn from my parents and I am 30 now^^

I'm so glad to hear God is teaching you things and you are breaking generational curses. That is so important. Keep growing with God and trust that He has your best in mind and it will not be easy but on the other side you will be stronger and look more like Him and have more faith. He's got you!

ya'll just slid that in at the end, and I really felt it. so grateful to be learning from you guys.
I just wanted to give my thanks for being such an inspirational couple. I found you guys in December and it is what started my journey to christ. Seeing such a young, fun, and loving couple be so open about the truth of god was a narrative I've never heard in life. I was raised by a single mother never really knowing what marriage or love was. I knew more about what didn't lead to marriage than what did. Since December I've dived in so deep with christ and really see him working on my heart. I got involved with inter varsity (a christian club) this past semester which just so happened to be my last semester in college and met some amazing people. I shared with the women's bible group leaders the name of your podcast and we listened to one in the following meeting. I just wanted you to know how much of an impact you've had on my awakening. Keep doing what you're doing. If you so happen to read this, I would love to chat more.

I would love have (new or vintage of either of these.... I love the heritage, the story, etc..) a land rover defender, or an old vintage Porsche (i got to drive my mentors with him before he passed and now it's something I will always cherish.
