Personally I been a bugeye fan and as much as love the wrx hatch. I been growing majorly into the bugeyes looks and I dig it big time, I had the chance here in the US to buy a sonic yellow 2003 bugeye with 178,000 miles probably on original motor but I would have definitely sti swapped
All i own is a 2024 impreza rs and dont get me wrong i fucking love it to death but a 02 bugeye sti in white would look beautiful next to my 24 impreza rs. God i guess i am a massive bugeye fan. Dont get me wrong i also want to find a 96 gc8 really because that when i was born but it also has to be white. You might as well say if a buy a subie it has to be white. (Massive star wars fan and basically would stormtrooper every single subaru out there)
The newer models are tunable so any issues wiring should be pretty easy to resolve (delete CEL, or adjusting idle) You could change the wiring harness also if you really wanted to but I don’t think it would be necessary
I am pretty sure that it was a project where they took a nose from a sedan and put it in that wagon body. Even the VIN is not in its “standard” format, i.e: 17 digits, it only has 10 (japanese format I beleive).@@OkiSubies wonderful channel, keep it up!
sad, rusted out gc chassis go for 20k here in the states, seen 30k for nice ones. these will go for 30k min for a shitbox... 40 for a nice one... and no one will finance or insure such old cars for reasonable rates so you need cash in hand for the peasants 🙈

Bugeye owner since 2005. 2nd owner. There are many suspension similarities to the gc platform as well.
So similar and so different at the same time, it is great!

My wife has 2002 usdm wrx auto. Is the 5 speed wiring portion doable to swap? I can do all the mechanical but not to sure about the wiring.

It is actually usually GGB not GDB but maybe it is different in your location? We honestly have never heard of that before
