    Thanks for the review. I like that your content is so relevant and helpful to me. I've got a second PC that has 1x CPU fan + 3x case fans yet only 2 fan headers (one which has the CPU fan connected to it), I've used a fan splitter but I can only connect 2 of the fans to it... this is a much better solution. Cheers Mike!

      The Razer Chroma is pretty good at controlling the ARGB, 6 three pin ports for ARGB, ( coolermaster only has 4, we have both) power for the fans need sourcing elsewhere though. Individual LED control meaning you can get great subtle effects. The sofware is a bit task manager heavy but not too bad.Well worth checking out and currently 25% off at Amazon.

      there is no point in adding a ARGB fan or converting it to RGB as the entire benefit of ARGB is completely lost on the conversion.

    The only concern I would have is loading up 4 fans on 1 motherboard header, I mean is it no different then having a 4 head splitter cable that connects to 1 MB header? Unless this hub supplies the power to the fans then that would rock! However its pretty cool you can control 3 pin (DC) fans within your BIOS instead of the fans running at full power and without the ability to control the speed.

      On a 3-pin connector pin-1 is the ground, pin-2 is 12VDC, and pin-3 controls the speed. On a 4-pin connector pin-1 is the ground, pin-2 is 12VDC, pin-3 is a sensor, and pin-4 is the speed control. So on a 3-pin connector pin-3 acts as both the sensor and speed controller, to the best of my knowledge.

    • @avendji
      @avendji 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OlettaLiano quite there but 3rd pin is always a speed sensor on both 4-pin pwm and 3-pin vdc connection. Difference is 3-pin control the speed by lowering the amount of voltage going into the fan, usually ranging from 9v - 12v. While 4pin pwm controling the speed by basically turning on and off the 12v rail very fast to get the speed it targets, but it still 12v nonetheless, that's why 3-pin fan when set into 4-pin pwm mode always gl full speed because to them its just 12v without any regulator to turn on or off
