domidium What you said is not far from the truth, in some historical religious texts like the Old Testament, the description of some of the angels' appearances were truly bizarre if not outright alien in nature. If you ever watched Evangelion (which has a ton of Christian references, but don't actually mean anything) how they depicted angels is pretty accurate in some cases.
Hollywood needs to use this angel for more films cause this angel is the sickest angel in movie history. and the guy who plays him also plays Abein hell boy , the pale man and pan in pans labyrinth. This guy plays the the coolest creatures and fantasy characters in movies.

That goblin didn't really scare of him..treat him just like his friend
I still think The Angel of Death is Guillermo Del Toro's best character design ever.
That goblin is the best..😂😂😂😂 Hey friend! What about, that which is mine?
this is so sickly awe-inspiring :) this is why Guillermo is the man...
That was strangely poetic for a movie that sometimes doesn't take itself seriously.
well... at least THAT was nightmarish as hell. Guillermo del Toro's practical creature effects are mind bending.
The sound design for Death's voice is crazy good. The tingle of bass everytime Death speak is awesome.
The actor who played abe is actually the same actor who portrayed this angel of death
as a want-to-be special effects make up artist. this rendition of the angel of death is beautiful!!!!!
"The world or him?"
"Yes"
I think this Angel of Death and the one from Solomon Kane have to be the best.
Is azrael angel of death
This makes me wish that people did more practical effects on movies now a days like this
They could mix cgi and practical and make something even better
Like his wings, they could be cgi and have realistic movements
This movie has some of the best artwork ever
I love the eyes on the wings. They blink c:
Me too! 👼 👀
"Hey friend, what about that which is mine. Dont forget me, friend" lol
Ah. Shiney
When you have Doug Jones in your movie you can pull off any practical effects and make them look outstanding
I wish so much they would have continued this story with the next movie
I want a movie about this freak angel. Gosh he looks so weird.
Honestly the design of monsters in these movies is awesome
You know there’s been rumors that angels look like wings with eyes so the fact that this angel has eyes ON it wings is quite impressive on the designer’s part
rumors?
that's literally how they're described in the bible my guy
Guillermo Del Torro is a genius
Isn't this closer to the historic depiction of angels? Remember a video about that, the eyes on wings and usually not a regular human face
Yes it is
"my heart is filled with dust and sand" same.
My favorite thing about Hellboy is how much they use amazing costumes and make-up instead of computer animation. It's fascinating!
I love how this random legless goblin just happened to know the Angel of Death
This is a reminder that the angels are just as eldritch if not more so as the Ogdru Jahad.

What you said is not far from the truth, in some historical religious texts like the Old Testament, the description of some of the angels' appearances were truly bizarre if not outright alien in nature. If you ever watched Evangelion (which has a ton of Christian references, but don't actually mean anything) how they depicted angels is pretty accurate in some cases.
I like how in the end...the 😇 of 💀
Leaves the spear head for the goblin blacksmith.
I assume this is what most angels look like as they always like to say “fear not” when they appear 😅
I love Red and Liz so much.
The real one who suffers is the goblin. He just wanna some souvenirs
2:28 it’s nice hearing the angel of death laugh once in a while
I love all these characters creative and original design.
I'm pretty sure this is a dark souls boss
This has to be my favourite representation of Death. Just an amazing design.
Hollywood needs to use this angel for more films cause this angel is the sickest angel in movie history. and the guy who plays him also plays Abein hell boy , the pale man and pan in pans labyrinth. This guy plays the the coolest creatures and fantasy characters in movies.
I bet Lionsgate is now regretting not giving Guillermo Del Toro the funds for the third Hellboy film with Ron Perlman.
These films didnt make a lot of money back then to fund a third film. They were usually overlooked by other movies and barely made back their budget.
This scene is better than new hellboy trailer
Everything about the Angel is mesmerising; the costume, the voice and the absolute perfection of Doug Jones' body language.
I keep rewatching the dismissive "leave" handflick at 0:16; when I saw the film for the first time, that gesture had such absolute, regal authority and disdain that I immediately knew this wasn't a prince or a king, it was a god.
It wasn't a God. But angle.
The head has no eyes yet the wings are covered in eyes, death is blind but sees everything at the same time. A creature that is neither good or evil it just does its job, it knows Hellboy has a role to play so it must keep him alive for that role to play out.
The new Hellboy will be compared to this one as to how much CGI it has. These costumes and props are pure works of art.
i always though the angel of death looks abit spooky with those eyes and hell i think it looks really well creative.
Humans will always chose one over many, sacrificing the world to save just one, the selfishness of love, the bitter sweetness it makes on the world.
Who cares about the world. The world is just another hell created by humans. I'd rather die with my love than suffer to prolong what humans will bring to themselves later.
im going to tell my kids this was the rumbling from AOT
