I love the part when I realized this is a movie for entertainment. I also truly enjoy the other part where I sit there and think there's going to be that one asshole who always brings reality into a fantasy situation.
Then hits Manning with that bad ass line “guess we’re out”
Very reminiscent of the final bad guy getting shot at the end of Die Hard. I'm sure Del Toro was doing a homage.
I love how this scene highlights how impractical suits are for a profession like the BPRD where the Tooth Fairies climbed through gaps of their pants and shirts, also having free reign of the Agents' orifices.
I agree!! Especially Agent Steel, his pants so size big that there is gaps for the Tooth Fairy to crawl into his pants
If I were the uniform designer and having something other than the suit was out of the question I'd at least give the agents sort of slash resistant undersuit/onesie under the outer suit.
Maybe the tie could be designed to also fold open into a balaclava or hood, made of the same material. Some sort of goggles and/or miniature gas mask should be easily accessible as well, so a holster for such things would be introduced by me as well.
Probably won't help too much against a swarm of tooth fairies or something nastier, but it's better than bare skin and I'd wager it ends up protecting the agents better from something less serious.

Yeah, Seth MacFarlane is an amazing voice actor. Makes me wish he did more roles outside of Family Guy and American Dad.
Tooth fairies against secondary characters: overwhelmingly numerous, going under their clothes and into their orifices devouring them in seconds
Tooth fairies against main characters: "okay people while we fly around the targets not really doing anything let's plan this one carefully. Jeff you go first, gently land on their arm and see how they react. Come back with a full report so we can have a better understanding of the situation. Don't worry about getting shot, we'll send a replacement, one at a time. Let's take this one extra carefully guys"
to be fair, the secondary characters were humans who were eaten first and thus focused on first. They couldn't eat Hellboy 'cause i assume his skin is tougher, Blue is sticky and you can see the fairies get stuck on him. And Fire Girl, well, when she wasn't on fire they partially attacked her. Again, the majority of the fairies appeared to have been focused on eating the agents which ironically saved the main crew.
There's 2 words for that, it's called plot armor

Secondary characters are just regular humans. Main characters are super powered hero like-beings
The Bureau agents with enhanced talents will always have a significantly higher chance of surviving super powered encounters. If lame ass agent John from the first film was here, he'd have been killed easily as well.
It is a pity that we will never see the third part. In fact, Del Toro mentioned that for the third the villain of the film would be an Archangel who was sleeping in a former Soviet base.
An ARCHANGEL?! damn! Talk about a heavy hitter of an antagonist. Son of the Fallen Angel vs an Archangel. Wonder which one it would've been?

It's always interesting to see fantasy characters that are usually depicted as sweet/innocent being depicted as vicious and booldthristy.

I still want to hope for Hellboy 3 to be made. If Ghostbusters Afterlife could be made as the third Ghostbusters movie after they failed doing a reboot movie, who knows? Could happen with Hellboy as well. I know Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman has a lot of passion for it. If only they can finally convince Mike Mignola this time...

There are some fish that do this, they’re called ‘bullet fish’ because they leave holes line bullets- one tears it’s way in and the rest follow.
Bodies have been taken the the morgue full of these fish and a body was recovered on live leak where they brought him out of the water and they came out of his head like a clown car.
They have eaten drunk people alive as drunks can’t defend themselves very well or aren’t too aware of things.
They were covered in the first or second season of river monsters.

Well for starters, they’re humans which can be easily overpowered by these magical hybrid like creature beings. Hellboy, Liz, and Abe are super powered heroes

Hellboy naturally is tough especially from his gauntlet even just in general since he is a demon who can with stand the pain well enough to fight it off and has the strength to.
Liz even though she chooses not to use her ability of fire or setting herself a flame to help because of her traumatic mind, she can withstand the hive mind of tooth fairies both with her accurate aim with her gun and if pushed far enough like in the scene she can let out her fire abilities!
Abe can with stand it but seemingly slightly not as much but good enough to direct the team not getting hurt as their firing but is good enough and biologically tough enough at least to sustain such injuries
Yes it is hard losing agents with such perky personalities believe me I love them alot as much as the cast, but it shows though in these kinds of situations yes we wish for the agents to survive along side the main cast of heroes but it also shows a realism to it that us humans can't exactly survive such things even if we were prepped, prepared or armored up we're not biologically able to withstand such a beast or hivemind or whatever monster their is unlike the gang, it's a natural thing to happen for agents humans or anyone if it were to happen since we are soft mushy homosapiens no matter how much we work out ourselves!

David Harbour is amazing in Stranger Things but he was not destined to be Hellboy he lacked Ron’s sarcasm and witty, dry almost pessimistic sense of humor and was practically playing an MCU Superhero version of the character. Ron Perlman had the voice, attitude and coolness to bring Hellboy to life and make him look like his own superhero. Ron Perlman is just as irreplaceable as Hellboy as Alfred Molina is as Doctor Octopus or Heath Ledger as The Joker

This was such a great and unique movie. I don’t think they ever made movies like this even after 15 years.
