Mami. You have very nicely explained. There are 3 types og Maavadu in Coimbatore viz. Kozhumam.Thirumurthymalai and Thadagam maavadu. Kolumam is the best and rarely available in Udumalpet only Thirumurthymalai vadu will be very good and thadakam OK. In Palghat kadughu mangai is prepared which is more tastier. Sorry for the late post. Prepared exactly as per your recipe as told earlier. It came out so well that it was the best pickle i have ever prepared. It got over recently and tll the last drop it was tasting delicious. Thanks again for this wonderful recipe. Planning to prepare this season as well, but here in Mumbai, we are not getting good mavadu till date
