    It's always fun to hear Haley taking over! Great job. I like to put what I call 'enchilada guts' in the peppers, but as this is easier, I think I'll have a go at the refried beans or black beans without the meat! Thanks y'all!

    Whenever I'm coating chicken with spices, etc. I put in zip lock bag, spray in oil, mix, then put in spices and knead bag to cover all the chicken. No bowl to clean.

      But instead of easily cleaning a bowl, you're filling landfills with plastic that takes 20 - 500 years to decompose 🙄

    Hoisin sauce is so worth looking for. It is getting much easier to find. Asian sections of your grocery store, high end grocery stores or an Asian market or grocery store should have it. Looks so good. I will be cooking that tonight...minus the Sriracha. I will grab my portion first then I will add it for my hubby.

    Even this Canadian has used hoisin sauce many times and I love it. My only problem with that recipe is the peanut butter because of my allergy. I’m not sure what else would give it that creamy nutty flavour. I seem to be able to eat cashews. So maybe I can try grinding some up.

    • @empoweredcooks

    That "Asian spaghetti" looks really good. I don't care for that much Siracha though, probably 1 teaspoon would work for me.
    I love asparagus, so anything with asparagus would be great for me.
    For the stuffed mini peppers, I'd prefer stuffing jalapeno peppers, and use a teaspoon of taco seasoning in the refried beans.

    Hey kiddo! Here in Southern California, hoisin sauce is practically used as much as catsup, mustard and soy sauce so I always make sure I have it in refrigerator/or pantry…but what really caught my attention was the recipe for the stuffed mini sweet peppers! I also always have them in my refrigerator to slice up for salad, etc…Need to rewatch you making them so I don’t miss anything…love watching your new ideas every Saturday!!!😘

    I know what Hoisin is, and I have used it many times before. For the Beef Ramen Stir Fry, if you don't have the Dual Blaze, can this be made in a Cosori 5.8 quart, or would the sauce drip down through the grate? Would this need to be made in an oven safe bowl instead?

    • @michellewilliams9675
      @michellewilliams9675 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sauce would drip, maybe use parchment with holes to let a little grease drip thru but not much sauce.

    • @empoweredcooks
      @empoweredcooks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      100% the Dual Blaze. You don't have to rotate food is the first reason. The 2nd reason is that I am not a huge fan of the Philips air fryers because they REALLY smoke a lot. Philips was the first one that I owned. Cooking bacon in it sets off the fire alarm. :(

    I've always wondered why you don't like to pre-heat? Why is that a negative for you? You wouldn't put something in a normal oven without pre-heating and expect it to cook within the expected time. Why's it any different with an air fryer? Are all of your recipe times for starting with a cold air fryer? Just genuinely curious. I really enjoy your videos, just wondered.

    Hi Cathy,
    I've had an Airfryer since last week. I love watching all your videos, with all your tips.
    1 question for now.
    Isn't it true that you now taste 1 flavor of all those herbs and that the rest is a texture. So that everything now has 1 flavor of all those many herbs, and that you no longer taste the product(s)?
    I personally use 0.0 herbs or any additives as flavor enhancers. 'Otherwise all those herbs would have been there', I think. And yes, natural it is also delicious and more 'natural' in terms of the real natural taste.
    Tomorrow I will enjoy watching another series of your beautiful videos. Thanks.
    Greetings from Pierre
