For air fryer newbies, I chose my air fryer based on Kathy’s reviews, and my first air fryer recipes were all from her videos. Later I bought another air fryer (Cosori Dual Blaze), again partially based on her review. Learn and enjoy-she makes it easy!
Came here looking for airfryer recipes. Ended up watching an amazing relationship between a fantastic Mother and her kids. The recipes and tips were great, but the way you encourage and uplift your kids was even more amazing. God bless you. Shalom. 😍
I just can not thank you enough for these videos but, I will thank you by buying your cookbook! I have a very food picky teenage son and getting him involved in cooking, especially with the air fryer, has really opened him up to trying new and different foods. I got the idea from you cooking with Logan and now my son and I look forward to your videos. Thank you again and I hope 2023 is full of blessings for you and your family.
Aw, thank you so much! THat makes me so happy to hear! I will share this with Logan as well. I agree - the air fryer makes it easier to bring kids into the kitchen! Blessings to you as well! ❤️
Congratulations! So many young people these days (yes, I'm old now!) have no idea how to cook. It's one of those subjects that I think should be required in school. I was lucky in that both my parents worked and my sister was in high school, while I was in middle school. I was the first one home, so there would be a menu and instructions on the fridge and I would put the dinner on. When my sister came home she'd check to make sure everything was okay. About a month later she stopped checking! I must have been the only 13 year old boy who was excited that he'd gotten an electric wok for his birthday. One of the best "gifts" you can ever give your child is the knowledge and experience that they can use to take care of themselves. Cooking is high on this list as it's not terribly difficult and can save you lots of money. After all it's always easier to make it yourself than to go to a restaurant. And if you teach him how to make his own "fast food" from scratch (rather than frozen bags of stuff) he will even eat better and can adjust the flavor to his liking. Congratulations again!
Great recipes and I love your family involvement. I use a Barn Door style airfryer made in Belgium and it cooks cakes quite well. Whole chickens, roasts - and I'm a bachelor. I never use to cook a whole roast chicken or Pork with crackling. Now I can. I love my Airfyer.
You make great videos! I just received my FIRST air fryer for Christmas and I cannot wait to use it! I haven’t used it yet because I have been “under the weather” and I have been binging on your TH-cam videos for 3 days now and they are all fabulous! I also appreciate this video and the best and “worst” foods to make in an air fryer. I cannot wait to try your recipes! And your children are precious. It looks like they really enjoy learning to cook and being a part of your videos! I admire you for being a great mom too! ❤ Best to you and your family for 2024 and I look forward to more of your awesome videos!
Really enjoy your videos. Love that your recipes are tested by your children….so you really know if they work or not. Thank you and thanks to your taste testers!
Okay, the holiday season is over, but one of the things that I love about it that I don't eat very often is roasted potatoes because it takes a long time. However, I was shopping in ALDI the other week and a bag of Small Dutch Yellow Potatoes caught my eye and my brain made a connection I wasn't even thinking about. The little potatoes would roast up rather quickly, especially in the air fryer. Yes, they're a little expensive, but worth it! So, I take a bunch of them and cut them in half. Put them in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Stir them up with a fork. Then I sprinkle on some Garlic powder. Stir. Sprinkle on some Onion Powder. Stir. Sprinkle on some Rosemary. And Stir. Then I pour these into half of my air fryer and spread them around. On the other half I put a couple of chicken breasts (Red Bag Chicken). Cook the whole mess at 330F for about 25 minutes and then up the temperature to 400F for the last 5 minutes. With a nice brioche bun and a slice of pickle you end up with a very nice Chick sandwich and some tater roasties! I love my Cosori Air Fryer! I also stumbled across a TH-camr from the UK (my home before moving to the US 50 years ago) who cooks traditional UK food in the Air Fryer. I have cooked his recipe for "Toad in the Hole" and even though it uses a batter it turned out great! It's basically air fried sausages that are then placed in a hot pan and covered with Yorkshire Pudding batter and cooked until the batter is finished. It turned out great! Love your channel and get lots of ideas about things to cook watching you and the kids in the kitchen.
I wanted to pop in and say I love your videos and will soon be getting a copy of your book 🙂 I'm very new to air fryers. It's been just a week now and I've learnt a lot from you already. I'm completely in love with my air fryer and I was just blown away by how many different things it can make and how well. As I'm so new, the things that didn't come out as well were mostly newbie errors. Although I've heard that too, that batters don't come out in air fryers What has been amazing so far is banana chocolate chip muffins, Swedish meatballs, your Perfect Air Fryer Steak (which is my favourite way to make steaks now), chicken wings, baked potatoes, and some beef fajitas I made tonight.
All of these recipes look so yummy! Thanks for being so creative. Received your recipe cheat sheets, they are bright and easy to read. Looking forward to using it for air fryer recipes. 👍👏
I learned how to use my air fryer from your videos when I first got one. Thank you! I noticed on this one that you did not spray oil on fries and vegetables like you showed in your other videos. Do they cook better without oil spray?
You are so helpful. I use food grade gloves for all the meat or fish I prepare. Scissors for cutting or trimming chicken. Love my Instant Pot and was fearful of the Costco Gourmia Air Fryer. Been binge watching your videos and must say Thank You!!!
Glad you are back! Your videos and cookbook have been so helpful for me in learning to use my air fryer. Your helpers also make your videos very entertaining to watch. ❤❤❤❤
Tempura broccoli and other veg like carrots and cauliflower are good in the air fryer. I dip flour, batter and then panko crumbs. Ten minutes (flipping once) at 375 degrees F.
Great tips. Thank you. I am an air fryer newbie. So far, I think I have been successful, if I don't set off my smoke detector. If you have to cook in batches, how do you keep the first batch warm, while air frying the following batch? Great that you are teaching your kids to cook!
I love my air fryer (I've only had it a couple of months) and have watched a ton of your videos. Unfortunately, most of your recipes aren't on my food plan, so I appreciated your keto video. I would love more non-starch veggie recipes (I've been obsessed with air fryer brussels sprouts!)
I tapped for Top 18 Airfryer tips and temperature downloads. There was a question about your cook book, but no choice for already purchased. I love your Airfryer recipes!! Thank you for all your help!!
I realized half way in that I was drooling so I thought you deserved a thumbs up. I should also note that your videos and content is amazing. Thanks for all the work you do for us while still being a mom and wife. Not an easy job.
Thank you for sharing all of your wonder tips with us. Now I have to get into the kitchen and try them, yummy! I am gonna agree with you on the wet batter, and cakes. The air fryer is an awesome tool in the kitchen, just not for everything 😊
Love seeing your children helping in the videos and you look terrific. Your cookbook is the best. Going to try chessey fries - hubby will love them. THX Cathy
Happy New year ....I bought an Air Fryer and had no idea how to use it. So, I have been watching your videos and purchased your Air Fryer cookbook .The recipes look delicious and I can't wait to try them all. As I am typing this comment I have before me a plate of the Air Fryer Asparagus ...used your recipe and you are so right...EASY PEAS to make and Oh so good . thank you
Just wanted to tell you I ordered the Cosori airfryer and your cookbook! I want to make it easy and follow exactly what you do bc it looks sooo good. Thank you for the video's
I found the trick to cooking fresh broccoli in the air fryer is to microwave it in a covered dish for about 4 minutes first, then spritz with a little oil and sprinkle your favorite seasonings over it (I like lemon pepper or chili lime). Cook it in the air fryer at 350º for however many minutes it takes until it starts to brown!
Terrific video! I watched with your book alongside. There were several new recipes I decided I would make after seeing you make them! Your recipes are yummy!
I understand soaking the fries in water first (and then blotting them dry) removes much of the starch and results in a crisper fry on the outside while remaining soft on the inside.
Air fryer Pro-Tip #97: If it's supposed to be crispy when it comes out, give it a spritz with some olive oil. Not only will that help it get super crispy, it'll allow any seasoning you choose to put on it before it goes in a place to stick to.
As long as it's out of some sort of spritz bottle, or spray can (yes, there's olive oil in spray cans), and not rolled around in a vat of oil first, everything will be fine. It is, after all, only air.
Melting cheese on spice fries is a great idea. Was not sure if the fries were already cooked and the cheese was added later or if you were cooking the fries and cheese at the same time. You only cooked them for 4 min. Is that enough time to cook the fries? BTW, I am new to using an air fryer. Love your channel.
I’m a newbie and just got her cookbook. My biggest question: if it says place on the bottom of the basket does it mean above or blow the grate that came with the air fryer?
Bro! your son is wise for his age 😀 I love how engaged he is and foresee a cooking channel of his own in the future, and it would be a great one I'm sure. I miss Julien Solomita's cooking vids a lot, he has the same good energy as Julien
I have a halogen oven that also came with the bread rack. Not much use for making toast because the bread bends over and really just dries out rather than toasts. I do use it, though. As a toast rack. Stops the toast from sweating on the plate.
Love my new Duel Blaze…but partial to my Cosori 5.8. Thank you for your You Tube channel and your first cookbook and the tweaked one I just purchased. I am almost off work and will be watching in a few hours.
Kathy, I have a quick question. I bought my first air fryer, a Cosori Dual Blaze, based on your review a while back. Just started watching your channel...I think it is awesome!. My question is How in the world does a person cook Mango and with what? Any suggestions? Thanks
I don't have a microwave in my house because of the energy wave attacks and they go through the microwaves and they affect people so if you got to do broccoli or asparagus I guess you need to do them on a regular Stove Top and not in the air fryer according to what you're saying Cathy is that correct
I wonder if the regular parchment would work better if you cut down the sides. It seems the paper that high around the sides blocks some of the air flow.
Have you done crunchy chicken tenders in the Air Fryer? cut chicken tenders in half, throw in a bak with buttermilk, smoked paprika, onion and garlic salt for 'a while' (15-30 minutes, or 4 hours if you got it) then the breading??? crushed cornflakes... cook at whatever you cook chicken at. Boom.Crunchy tender tenders. Familly favourite here.
Sounds yummy! With Fry Sauce! We also love crunchy French Toast (or cut into strips for dipping) made with crushed Captain Crunch, Honey Bunches of O’s, or O’s cereal.
Opinions and taste totally differ but I love broccoli in the air fryer. I was worried that it would burn (and it did slightly) but it was delicious and crispy. It reminded me of the Trader Joe’s freeze dried broccoli which I loooove
Love to roast veggies in the air fryer with a little avocado oil, salt and optional other seasonings. Don't like steak as it doesn't sear well enough at 400F.
The first thing I cooked in my airfryer was a cake in the deep pan that came with fryer, and I filled it up, it turned out well. I forgot if I used 1/2 a cake mix or what, as it has been too long, lol. No foil onthe top and it had waves from the fan Of course most people would try that, right.? 🤔🤨😏 I wish I could remember what I did.
Hi Kathy. I know that you have advised on cleaning the air fryer (I have a Cosori, twin element) but as I am a non-vegetarian living with a family of vegetarians I was looking for a method to stop oil from my chicken thighs getting up to the top element (and to the panel above), as it's unpleasant for a vegetarian to risk meat oil dripping from above. Have you ever tried anything like a splash guard, like you can put over frying pans? I want to prevent oil splashing but still allow the direct heat to get to the food. Many thanks - I love your videos.
Hi Al, I have not tested out a splash guard. I'd say if you can find one that fits in your air fryer then it might be good to test out! Let me know your findings!
@@empoweredcooks I have the Ninja one on order. It's the perfect size, though I'll have to find a way to suspend it above the food being cooked. I'll let you know the result 🙂
I love that you involve your kids and that you are teaching the older kids to cook. Skills that will serve them well for the rest of their lives. 👍🏻

My favorite air fryer accessory is the precut parchment you showed in one of your videos, seriously those have become a household staple!
YES those are a must!
Yes!! And also there are boxes of foil sheets you can pick up for cheap at dollar stores that are great for burgers, bacon, chicken, etc.

Hello I got an air fryer for Xmas... what is the "air fry" setting for if everything cooked is "baked"? PS I will be ordering your book 😄

Great ideas! Your kids are great 😊
Thank you about the answer to my question about cooking times. I have a Ninja Foodi. It says it's 1460 watts.... Your info is very helpful❤️
You are welcome! So YES add a few extra minutes to get things to cook properly!

Kathy, I have a quick question. I bought my first air fryer, a Cosori Dual Blaze, based on your review a while back. My question is, on the air fryer it has a setting labeled BAKE and one that says AIR FRY. Can you tell me what the difference is? If I'm wanting to make something simple like Baked Potatoes, should I use Bake or Air Fry? I'm just curious what the difference is. Thanks in advance & I love your videos.
I still think your youngest daughter steals the show, but I love how you get your kids cooking. I definitely plan to try the teriyaki chicken thighs, chicken fajitas and roasted potatoes. Thanks for the video!

Im getting one of these soon😊
Just started watching your channel...I think it is awesome!. My question is How in the world does a person cook Mango and with what? Any suggestions? Thanks
I don't have a microwave in my house because of the energy wave attacks and they go through the microwaves and they affect people so if you got to do broccoli or asparagus I guess you need to do them on a regular Stove Top and not in the air fryer according to what you're saying Cathy is that correct
I wonder if the regular parchment would work better if you cut down the sides. It seems the paper that high around the sides blocks some of the air flow.

Happy that your back !!

@@empoweredcooks The Ninja splash guard works well. Not a perfect fit but works well when used on top of the foil container I cook the chicken in.
Your younger boy... "bro... bro..." lol. Made me chuckle. Reminds me of my younger brother.
Your son is hilarious! 🤣🤣 Thanks for the great tips and tricks 😁
Fantasy insight. Thank you!
Wow that looks so good!! Good job
