  • I finally found the perfect exhaust solution for my E39 M5! Exhaust cutouts! Huge thank you to Charles at Badlanz HPE for helping me out. In combination with my full Supersprint exhaust (including headers), installing "dump valves" allows me to make the car louder or quieter at the push of a button. Nothing like bringing out the glorious sound of the BMW S62 V8 power house!

    Hi mate! I just came randomly to your vid. To me personally closed valves sound better. Yet both of options still sound cool enough to play with both of them. So congrats mate on your car and great effort on the work done to achieve the final sound😎🤙

    Why not just go with unresonated x-pipe instead of resonated? Seem like a lot of work just to end up with the same outcome soundwise.

      I tried that and it sounded horrible. I talk about it in the video.

      @@m3blackshadow Ahh, sorry did not catch that. Well I am currently considering to change my stock setup with a Supersprint X-pipe and Eisenmann rear muffler. The EU Emission regulations in Europe are very strict, so I am not sure if I dare changing the cats.

    What is the diameter of the stock muffler/exhaust where you made the cut?... is it 2.5 or 3.0?.... I’m looking to do the same?... but not sure of the piping dimensions.

    • @m3blackshadow
      @m3blackshadow  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      2.5

      m3blackshadow ...so I would have to get the couplings at each end,at 3” or am I incorrect?

      @m3blackshadow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ernesto Lopez no you’ll need 2.5” that’s slightly flared at the end in terms of a connecting pipe and you’ll need some kind of clamp that operates within the range on 2.5”. Not sure if that answers your question
