E39 M5 Supersprint Headers + Full Exhaust - Evolve Alpha N Tune - Eventuri Intakes

- It's actually pretty rare we get a completely stock E39 M5 in, but it meant Imran had a chance to reacquaint himself with one of his favourite M cars. We then took to fitting it with some great modifications to really bring out the true spirit of the S62 engine!
We removed the massively restrictive stock headers with some Supersprint ones, paired with a full exhaust to let out that excellent V8 rumble. Pairing this with an Eventuri Intake to take full advantage of that derestricted exhaust, and then finishing it off with an Alpha N ECU Tune.

What a timeless design, already 20 years old, but even only 20 years old dudes love it... proof of an icon; brutal exhaust note, brings the famous S62 to life
Best ///M car ever? E39. No question.
Bmw E39 IS 👑
the nuts and gaskets on the manifold are one time use. should have been replaced !
exactly what I came here to post!
Came to say the same thing. The hardware, okay I can understand reusing for whatever reason, but how much is for a couple of exhaust gaskets considering all that work done?
Ye exhaust for about 3000 E ?? and old gaskets rly???
I was thinking the same . . But @10:34 that looks like a new uncompressed gasket to me surely ? ?
James Child exactly, doesn’t look like they secured the car on the dyno either. Chocks are not enough on their own. I don’t think I’d let them work on my car. They look a bunch of cowboys to be honest
Oh my God.I love the sound it makes after the modifications.
E39 M5 is one of my favorite cars of all time. The headers are a work of art! Cheers on a great edit.
Love this car. I had a 51 Plate, in Le Mans Blue. You guys supplied the Supersprint X Pipe for me. Brings back some good old memories. Amazing video as usual ❤
Great video. I used to have a 2002 530i years ago and it was simply the best car Ive ever owned. The car had around 70k on the clock when I got it and it drove like a new car, was quick and solid. I was gutted when I sold It. So tempted to go for a E39 M5 when this virus stuff is over. The editung of this video was amazing by the way showing the fitting of the mods.
Chanel is growing Imran. Been watching these videos for years now. Keep the older BMW stuff coming. I ain’t doing much these days seeing as we are in lockdown in California.
We would love to but we don't get many older cars coming to us now. Customer base has moved on to newer cars
Great content. I'm always a sucker for a e39 😍
This car is from my childhood. Remember reading about it in Car and Driver and Motor Trend. Loved it ever since.
Has special place in many peoples hearts
An E39 523i Touring was the car I grew up in and according to my father he never had any reliability issues with it over the many years he owned it. It's the reason the E39 Touring is my favourite car today and the reason why I will get one myself soon. A great car.
Another belter.. well done Imran and the boys.
Thanks for the E39 M5 content
Love love love this car, especially now with some upgrades
Just found your channel. Great content and great mods for the timeless e39. I love the engineering and quality of the supercharger kit you do. for the M5. Really impressive.
Thanks Imran, great video and appreciate the upload!
love an e39 m5 vid , classic amazing cars that are obtainable
My actual dream car with these mods 😍😍
Thanks for making great videos like this for us who are stuck in our homes. Be safe
We have a few that were filmed and edited before the lockdown, so we’ll keep posting semi-regularly to try and help keep everyone entertained.
Sooner this all gets under control the sooner we can all get back to normal 💙
Beautiful E39
Another great video!! Glad you went retro , Refreshing to watch!!
Still got my E39 M5 all the these years after you guys tuned it :)
Love to hear it Russ! Keep enjoying it 🙌🏻
Thanks for filming this. You did a good job, and this car sounds excellent. Reminiscent of the E92 in terms of sound, but has a hair more rumble to it.
Enjoyed this video. Brightened up my day while on lockdown 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Great vid guys, was considering selling my car but you’ve convinced me to keep it 👍
Oh how I miss my ‘03 E39 M5 with the Evolve Stage 2 tune! Keep up the great work.
Must of been a rocket
N 540 it pulled hard in all gears. Evolve really brought out the most from that car.
@@djmaza I think its about time I have a chat with them, Mine has just turned 21yrs few days ago
Throw in a single mass flywheel conversion and this car will be spot-on!
Legend E39
i love this car hands down
those intakes look great
That sound's Epic !!
Hmm, no longer thinking about a E90 next. Those manifolds have definitely got my attention (E39 owner).
Either is a good choice! E39 and E90 are both excellent cars.
Yo hash is the man with the installs 🔥🔥
E39 M5 LCI - such a classy beast 👍
Impressive upgrades too! 😎
Berca Vlad I don’t think it’s an LCI it had the black speedometer. Nevertheless Great car and the older ones have a little more power!
@@Jky67122 Exacly, black speedo and prelift steering wheel, also back view mirror is wrong
Ordered a pair of the Medusa headers and the Eventuri intakes for my E39 a few weeks ago. It's currently stock, so I'm stoked by the results in this video. Just going to have to be patient until they arrive.
How did it go Mike?
legend says he's still waiting patiently to this day ...
10:59. That's a cool way of sealing a header. I'm used to seeing welded collectors, or some carefully fabricated V-band assemblies.
Long live the E39 M5!
sounds magnificent
I love it! You guys are amazing and I cannot wait to get my E92 M3! I’m sending it straight to you guys for a build!
See you soon
I know when i get my e92 m3 im buying all my shit frum these guys. Titts ass work they do. Im in Oakland california
Love the content guys. The S85b50 though is the most ICONIC engine from BMW in my opinion with regular and frequent maintenance they're just as bullet proof as anything!
CMO Vlogs but this isn’t an s85
@@samsaasen4922 I know it isn't, it was referenced at some point in this video.
Really good video. Well put together & informative. Thought about an E39 M5 lots of times, just bought a Merc CL55 AMG but really wish it was manual instead of automatic. Keep the videos coming. 👍🏼
I have an e39 m5 and a cl55 amg komoressor, the m5 is so much better and more fun to drive, sell the merc and get a m5 you wont regret it
hamza is right....i owned cl55 with eurocharged tune powerful car but trans and diff is junk...now have e31 with s62 and is 5 times more fun. sold cl to a friend he is doing manuel trans so we will see how fun will be :)
Ive got an alpina b10 v8, now thats on another level of lush!
I really need to get my 2001 M5 back on the road... if anything to get it sold so someone else can enjoy it properly, but not until after I've had one more fling with it. Such nice cars and going up in value, even for high mileage examples.
11:14. I don't deal with BMW's since I'm kind of a solid axle guy, but it's easy to appreciate the design work that goes into these cars.
--That yellow labeled lower control arm with varying cross-section is awesome. I bet this setup would feel amazing with UHMW bushings or spherical inserts.
--There's a reasonable amount of room around the bellhousing. That's a pleasant thing to see if you have to replace a clutch.
Fave V8!
Awesome video, love my e39 m5❤️
I love these cars
Brave man this customer. Car is showing a lot of battle scars, goes with the age, and he spent as much as the car is worth.
Its a keeper so bodywork is next
I have 3 E39 M5s. My 2000 silver has 316k miles still has original bearings vanos and timing chain guides etc. These are built to last. My other one has 171k and my jet black 00 has 100k. Just do the tensioners as precautionary maintenance and change the fuel filter and do oil changes even if your not driving the car the 3-5k miles between oil changes. I recently did an oil change even though it had only done 500 miles but it sat in the garage for close to 2 years. I work on the cars myself and it’s a blast. All my cars are California cars so no rust or anything of that kind. If your in the market you should definitely buy one. But get one adult driven and with a service history. I’m the second owner of all 3 of my cars.
Another great video... when I win the lottery and I buy my dream car an E46 M3, I'll bring it to you to fully sort it
Brilliant vid thanks
I love those Centercaps on his M parallel wheels! I need to get a set of those for my e39 540!
style 65's aren't parallel, but double spokes :) or did you mean m parallel spoke 37?
Looks like you might be seeing mine soon ......
Definitely Awesome 💯💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥I really like the work you have. I would like to do this to my 2003 530i but it is automatic
My favourite m5
Nice bro 🇹🇷
I thought there is nothing better than Mercedes amg exhaust sound, but this one sounds brilliant
Watching this in the toilet 🤣 doing number 2... Feels so good and relaxed
Sounds like double satisfaction.
Brilliant video yet again, love the way you film everything, do you use a camera around your head ? Never realised fitting the manifold took so much work, going from 360 - 425bhp must feel so much different especially with all that extra torque across the Rev range. Really miss my M5 now, mine was carbon black too. Hope your all safe. 👍🏻
Impressive gains (~40hp) for a NA car
Very nice car
I was astounded at the mileage and yet it was still putting out power close to that when new.
The car had a new engine very recently, unsure if recon or actually brand new
Would the supersprint exhaust system fit the E38 740i by any chance ? With slight modifications maybe ? It sounds amazing 👌
My love
BEST CAR YOU EVER HAD ON HERE !!!!!! 💯👑💪
Epic
Love the cinematography, it's like watching porn or witnessing a slow provocative lapdance, E39 is a classic, they done make em like they used to.
I have a e39 528i, almost 300k miles and keeps on going. Wish I could get a M5 but all are really expensive collector cars or cheap trashed from people that bought them but couldn’t afford the maintenance
9:21. That's an interesting header collector design. Is there a taper on the primary tube, and this all squeezes together like a ferrule/nut assembly, except with spring tension?
Love these cars! I daily drive my carbon black 2003. Has a muffler delete which really isn't loud since I still have the resonator in. Get nothing but compliments for it. Hell why listen to the stereo when I have the best sound coming out back? Would love to add some supersprint headers someday. Probably do that when the cats go out for a full exhaust overhaul. And now after watching this...time to go out for a drive!
Oh if only we could go for a drive right now... stay safe! 🙌🏻
respect bro e39 i'ts legend
so these headers will fit on a 540? love the e39, i used to love my e34 540 back in the day but my e39 540 is on a diffrent level
Nice job, stay safe because I only just subscribed.... I need you alive..✌️👍🇦🇺
I'm looking at the full SS exhaust as well including headers. I'm not looking for to make it louder, just improved power (but still NA) and weight reduction. I noticed you put the SS X-pipe vs. the SS resonators. Is there a significant difference between the two? Also, I don't believe it was mentioned which version of SS mufflers were installed on the car in this video, Performance, Race or F1? Do you have experience with the sound difference between the three muffler types? Thank you.
Loved the entire video and appreciated the first three minutes with your insights on E39M5. Can you please share something on its comparison with E90M3? I am looking to purchase either one, would appreciate your thoughts!
M U same here would love to see that
FBO S62 M5 will be 425hp or 369whp on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno so its making the same power as if its a stock 6.2L LS3 now and im seeing stock E60 M5's doing about 430whp on the same dyno so they really do make good power like a LS7 just less torque.
For my first M car I’m considering one of these. What sort of money does a 160k mile + example well maintained go for ? And anything to look out for?
Wow
Car was up on one roller on your dyno !
Nice vid. Being in the US where can I get this type of work done on an e39m5?
this car will pass now emissions test? with upgrade oh headers and alpha N tune with Maf delete
Do they make stepped headers for the E39 M5?
Only thing I thought was odd was reusing the old exhaust manifold gaskets and nuts. I personally would have replaced with new to avoid any concerns and having to revisit any time soon due to an unforeseen leak.
Hilarious shot at 04:46 🤣🤣
Did the Alpha-n tune get rid of the pesky IAT sensor these cars lose power from? or did you guys do an IAT relocation? FANTASTIC VIDEO by the way!
We relocate it as part of the Alpha N tune 💪🏻
New mainfold gaskets for the headers or???
Lovely video of an amazing car! But damn the driver needs to learn some rev matching!! Those downshifts to Defoe have me wincing!!
I'll learn one day 😅
Would you rexxomend having chains done before it’s napped at mileage like this ?
At mileage like this preventative maintenance will be important yes.
You should have done the before-after sound comparison for better effect.
Man I would love to have this set up lol, I just can't justify spending that amount of money on that lol
😍👍👍❤e39
What no new gaskets on the headers
Why did you put new exhaust qasket
I wonder whp please
How much power did it make???
What size are the center caps?
Forever a classic. Are you guys still able to tune over a Dinan S2? Cheers
Yes we are able to do that.
How is drone and cruising? I am pretty sold on this exact set up.
No drone! Helps that the E39 is so well sound insulated
Dumb question. Will the duct and hose routing draw any water in through the intake?
Only if you drive it in the rain 😂
...did you reuse the old manifold gaskets?😐
So how much did all the modifications cost to gain 45hp 🤔. I'm guessing it wasn't cheap??
