    I’ve just found your channel, got to say straight off the bat you’re one of the more positive people I’ve found regarding spinal fusion. I had a Microdiscectomy L5/S1 in January 2022 and largely successful until recently am having some new scans done next week it’s definitely nerve pain and pain in back of legs suggest possibly L4, your videos are very inspiring.

    I had L4L5 spinal fusion 3 mo a go and enjoy watching your videos. I'm doing very well and continue to be able to do a little more around the house. I am 82 and was very active before the surgery. I also went into this with a positive attitude. Looking forward to being as active as you can be after this surgery.

    Just got my MRI results for large herniation of L5-S1 and moderate herniation of L4-L5. The talk of surgery has been made, your videos have been insightful, I wish to have a recovery like yours. Thanks for the content.

    Just listened to your video, and it has inspired me big time. I am 5 weeks post spinal fusion on L4, L5 and decompressions x 2. The advice to keep moving and not get lazy is brilliant because it's easy to sit. Drinking water and keeping a good diet is essential advice. Thank you so much you're a star. ☘️☘️☘️☘️

    Thanks for the videos brother. I had c6/7 fused, i had a laminectomy, and microdiscectomy at L5S1 (posterior) which i was told was a stop gap before fusion. It lasted me 5 years, and now im seeing my surgeon for an ALIF at L5/S1. Im insanely nervous, and hope it wont kick me off my motorcycle forever.
    Again thanks for the vids. They help. Much love from California.

    dude you're so lucky, but you are also working on your body, that's very important.
    the goal is to maintain the improvements achieved by initial fusion, improve the core and back muscles.
    most possibly avoid future 2nd fusion and not putting more stress on 1st fusion connected vertebrae.

    thank you for spreading hope, if its not a problem for you I would like to know who was your surgeon and did he/she did it as a minimal invasive one or just goes by traditional method? what about the scars? are they big or small?

    Im late finding your videos but im going to have the same surgery hopefully. I had the l4, l5 disc chissled away 2 years ago by a butcher. Ive been in worse pain since. I went to the er in November hoping they would do emergency surgery but they found stomach cancer. The surgeon wont do the surgery until im cleared by oncology and in remission. I herniated a disc in 99 and its gotten progressively worse since. L4, l5 and l5,s1 are basically gone now. My left calf and foot have gone from numb to feeling like theyre on fire.

    So it sounds like the surgery isn't the final solution? Like the surgery is one thing but you need to physically work at taking care of your back the rest of your life?
    I am at the point where PT has helped but I am considering surgery because i keep popping my disc (L5/S1). I am planning on discectomy surgery. My doc even told me the point of surgery isn't to solve the problem long term, is to help get me back to the point where i can work the muscles to prevent reoccurrence

    Just came across your video had to be the good Lord because I had not been thinking about watching a video about anyone getting the surgery. I have a Tumor on my spine between L4 and L5 l, so they are going to do the same surgery you had. Thanks for the videos. I am working out now and working on losing weight now and making sure that I'm as mobile as I can be, because the tumor has my nerves pinched. So I have limited range with my right leg. I can't wait to get the surgery so I can get back to a normal life. I have a few questions, how much recovery time does the Dr give you after the surgery, before he will release you to go back to work, like a regular job with not to much bending over or lifting heavy stuff, but I will be on my feet for about 8hours out of each day per week. Also do you know anyone who has gone a flight for a long time like overseas to Asia after the surgery. How long was it before they were able to make that journey. Thanks.

    • @TheFuzedLife
      @TheFuzedLife  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @TheFuzedLife the going back to work WOW!!! I've been of since December 8 2923. I can't wait to get my life back. When this happen I had just started working on my new life post divorce. Then this happened and God has been using this time to reshape me and mold me into the man of God I'm suppose to be and to be right for my new wife when she comes. I had my knees replaced, the 1st one in Oct 2018, the 2nd one in 2019 now my back. Thanks my brother for picking up that camera, and taking us on your journey. Be bless you and your family. I'll be in touch.

      It's wild how many folks get fused at age 33. I went through a microdiscectomy/laminectomy about 2 months ago. It turns out that my SI joint is moving, so I'll be fused from L5-S1 within the month. That recovery was brutal, but I believe I understand why, as I still had trapped nerves on my left side (S1 nerve).
      I'm binge-watching every video, now.

    • @nicolaschamorro4437
      @nicolaschamorro4437 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robbholcomb3044 hello! I finally didn't do the regular laminectomy and i didn't do the fusion also. The surgery done to my lower back is called over the top tubular decompression, they take a little piece of the lamina bone and the surgeons work fron there to bilaterally decompress the spinal canal. Its a minimally invasive surgery. By doing this the normal structures of the back are mantained so there is no reason to do the fusion. My discs are bulged but are quite healthy acording to my doctor, i only have to lose weight and do core exercises. I'm one month post op.

      Do you feel as if it’s a healing pain? How are you interpreting it at the moment?
