To be honest, the wind cut noise reduction on the DJI Action 5 Pro sounds much better than the Ace Pro 2 with the foam mic cover. As long as the Action 5 Pro is pointed directly into the wind it cuts out most of the noise, leaving the nice engine & exhaust soundtrack that we all crave.
I’m an audio engineer and a motorcycle rider. Believe me, I’ve tested hundreds of scenarios and microphones on my motorcycles. I even installed a huge bass drum microphone under the passenger seat 😂(who else did something this nerdy?!?) But I have to say that the DJI Action 5 Pro with the DJI Mic 2 is the best and easiest way to get great audio without any strange wiring. Just find the right spot on your motorcycle where the wind is not blowing directly into the mic. It was never easier for me. And you can also use a second mic in your helmet to talk and then mix both signals (exhaust sound and voice) in post.
I'm doing a similar method where I hook the Ace Pro onto a helmet chin mount and bought an external recorder that goes into my backpack. This alone has given me the best engine noise without the wind noise and its worked well. Granted I have to sync the footage in post but nothing a few claps to the mics can't fix.
@@ohHeyKev DJI wireless microphone kit comes with two mic's and you can do the same thing. It's not cheap but you can set levels for each mic and they have internal storage. Check them out :)
@@WestOzMT True! I was on the fence of buying the mic system but ultimately decided to go for the Zoom H1N Essential recorder. I was inspired by a youtuber who does a similar setup and his audio was just amazing and crisp. DJI's mic would work better if I had the Action 5 Pro.
Side by side I definitely preferred the gopro footage with the exception of the insta for the night shots. That being said, only because I'm watching the exact same clip right next to each other would you even notice a difference
I'm taking bike lessons and hope to get my license soon. I fell in love with motorcycles and I found your channel randomly. I'm binge watching all of your videos. Even if I don't understand much about bikes and don't even ride yet. Unfortunately, the process to get a license here in Brazil is crazy burocratic. Anyway, keep up the excelent work, your channel is amazing!
@@MrWhite-m6v the GoPro is terrible at night and i prefer the look of the GoPro footage in the day. The GoPro's hypersmooth works better and the footage is less jittery. Generally i shoot 4k 30fps 1/60. Using those settings on the Action 5 the footage is sooooo jittery, bumping up to 4k 60fps 1/120 helps alot but the file sizes/render time stress me out 😅
@@LetsRide-POVa faster shutter speed helps with the jitters. Looking at the video quality from the creators that have posted you can still see some micro jitters from the ace pro 2. Maybe @ChaosCauses can shed some light on what its like?
interesting how 3 different moto blogers launches videos just with 3 minutes difference about the same "perfect bikers camera" and stands in the subscription list one after another.
Justin, you put together the best review vids ever! Your level of quality is presented higher than what Spielberg could produce! Great vid mate, looking forward to more top quality vids. 👍
Ehhhh, I live.. well lived, in a state where I DEFINITELY want it to be waterproof up to 30 meters. Waterproof up to 30 meters means that rain coming in sideways from the sheer amount of wind (before wind speed from motorcycle) won't damage the camera on it's own. ... now guess that state that I used to live in, and realistically will be moving back to eventually (family moved a lot as a kid, like from west to east coast and back a lot, and as an adult I've come to prefer moving around to drastically different climates occasionally)
Nice video! This camera can STABILIZE HORIZON LIKE MOTO GP CAMERAS DO? Another function that i need a lot is a capability to ADJUST BLUETOOTH AUDIO LEVEL (to permit the use of my helmet radio audio without distortion). It is all i need for my MOTO VLOG setup. This camera do this? Thank you!
Hey could you please check if the stereo audio works on the ace pro the stereo didn't work and I need to plug in 2 mics so I kind of need stereo to edit the audio levels separately
I'm all for a nuclear power plant in an action cam. It would draw humidity out of the air, heat it to steam, drive a generator, use a capacitor instead of lithium battery, puff the steam out into the air, and would cool itself with built in endothermic reactions. It would transmit captured footage wirelessly to one's riding jacket... which would be made of high capacity storage threads. Just set the camera next to your jacket and the footage would transfer. **queue James Bond theme song
That brick-shaped camera is NOT designed for motorbikers. Give me something aerodynamic, with remote battery (no weight on the helmet) and then we'll be talking.
What kills it for me is the battery, I have a cheap camera that records at 1080 for like 8 hours, I have a 40 minute commute and can go the entire week without charging.
whats your opinion of the magnetic mount? im in the market for buying an action cam, my previous camera was go pro hero 6, and i am not sure how will the magnetic mount hold on the helmet in speeds ~200kmh. it doesnt "feel" safe to me. ps incase i decide to go for the ace 2, ill use ur link, doesnt cost me anything :)
A bit weird it wasn't compared to its actual competitor.. The Action 5 Pro. Everyone knows GoPro has lost this race. They're falling behind and only rely on the legacy of its brand.
Disappointmentfor me. Not good enough to give up on externl recorders. As for night time... i'll use what I alredy have and not spend another 500$ on a 10% improvement.
do NOT buy this camera, if you want a wide FOV, go pro max and dji have wider FOV, go pro has 170+ with wide lens mod, and dji has a default wider FOV, insta 360 acce pro IS NOT wide at all, get a 360 camera like x4 or 3, and just use single sided lens recording to get 180 degree of fov. NOT this shitty remake of an action cam.
And you forgot the most important thing and that is the price , i wil NOT buy a bloody cam for $300 as i would only use it for safety cam . 🤮🤮👎👎👎👎 I'll stay with my Innovv H5 😁😁👍👍 Insta360 Ace Pro 2 : 360 € ? I don't think so

100% agreed DJI action and the DJI wireless mic are so good.

Weight is also a big factor ant the Ace Pro 2 is 30 grams (about 20%) heavier than DJI Action 5 Pro.

Guilty! 😂
What a coincidence
Absolutely.
i got a TDS advertisvent

You cannot ride Yamaha Jetski since a Jetski is a Kawasaki trademark. However, you can ride a Yamaha Waverunner.
Lol you can tell I don't live by water
It looks great, currently im using the GoPro for day videos and the action 5 pro for night. It looks like it could be the best of both 🤔🤞
Why both?

They're not being too transparent about it either
its called a press embargo, theyre not allowed to release information about it until whatever certain time the company decides.
Very good improvements and on the end without any additional cost for the software 😊

The only test I'm interested in is leaving everything in Auto after picking a resolution and framerate.
still no 10 bit? I wonder if this can connect to dji mic 2 properly
Also, damn, Tuesday upload be fighting FortNine for that previous precious immediate-viewership.
Had me thinking "Shit, is it Sunday already?"
Wouldn't a better comparison for the Ace pro 2 be against the Osmo action 5 pro ?
"I haven't even scratched the surface..." Uhhh yes you did 😂
Finaly a review a can trust !! +rep
In Australia the insta360 is over $200 from the GoPro 13! I'm not sure it's really worth it

Might be convenient but not the same quality as a good mic in your helmet with a proper wind jammer.

Magnet mounting just helps it align to lock in perfectly. It's safe at all speeds so no need to worry 🙌
if you search jetski in youtube, everything but Kawasaki comes up 😂
There is a Big down Point for me. No 10 Bit Color !
Literally just came from up the street at Fortnine channel about this.
Have I missed an episode, when did the Honda turn up? 😳
Guess who bought an ace pro just for the ace pro 2 to come out 2 months later🖐
What about the weight? Isn't it a bit heavy on the helmet?
What is the next bike project?
I decided to move from gopro to insta360 since 2 years ago.. although the audio is sucks..
Which LS2 helmet is that?
€450 is just too much imo. Bought my DJI Action 4 last week for €270, the difference isn't worth €180
same here bought yesterday for 250 euro
What’s the music at the beginning of the video?
In day time GoPro is better for me , but in low light ace pro 2 is better , if you don’t use your camera at night get go pro
I use the max lens mod GoPro,way wider then this
Havent used a GoPro since 3...
2:49💀💀💀
Sponsored commercial not another chaos causes video.
For bikers...Wouldn't a go3s be better? Much more comfortable and more than acceptable quality
Compare it against the DJI.
Gold wing??

ngl. gopro image looks 💩. wonder how abe kislevitz makes it look so good.
lol. It is definitely not designed for biker …. It is heavy as f, and flip screen is not useful at all. My vote goes to dji action 5 pro.
dji action 5 destroy ace 2 pro with it's ai touch up and only 8 bit colour in 2024 ?

I use insta360 x3,ant the video quality at night is one big peace of garbage :)
The sensor it MUCH smaller that this new one
Dji kicks both these cameras. Easily.
This guy is not good.
