  • Hyundai makes a pretty solid infotainment system, and it's not too hard to get familiar with the touch screens. We'll show you how to use the gauge cluster, center screen, pair a phone, and use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay phone projection.

Tbh, I didn’t watch the video since we had an Ioniq 5. But at the end of the day, we use CarPlay 99% of the time (even my 72 yo dad). CarPlay is so much easier to use and makes jumping from one car to another easy.

Thank you for the video! 😀
A few days ago I signed the leasing contract for the Ioniq 6.
Eventough I get in about 5 months, because my current contract is until October, I am already watching a lot of videos about it.
And I am positively surprised about the amount of information and seetings you get in the software. By the looks of it I thought it was limited to basics.
Also the Tesla Software is obviously much better, but Tesla dont have Car Play or Android Auto. So I don't think Teslas Software is so much better due to that.
Except of the possibility to watch TH-cam, Netflix and play games in the car.
And like you mentioned I also think its very bad, that the car only has wired carplay and android auto. I will get the car almost maxed out in terms of options. And for 60.000 € (about 54k $), its not okay to have to buy a dongle or use a cable... Especially in the year 2024, where cars for 1/2 the price have it as standard.

Agreed. There are adapters you can get, some of which work pretty well. There may be new ones on the market since I made this, but you can see some here th-cam.com/video/DCAMV4drw3U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yYyIDSEhiRzbT-jf&t=636

The UI on the center screen isn’t great, as seen on other Hyundai/Kia vehicles. The Kia EV9 center screen UI looks more up to date in comparison, so hopefully the other Hyundai/Kia EV’s get updated soon as well. Some of the recent keynotes point to some future updates to the software and UI.

Yeah, it's not great. In fact, I just drove the new Santa Fe, and it's more responsive than this.
