First time I saw him, my baby sister was going to NYU, the school was giving free and discounted tickets for different artists and Prince was opening for I think Flora Purim. When he came out, his hair shoulder length, wearing lace woman's panties, cowboy boots, a lace Mardi Gras mask,a guitar 🎸and nothing else I kind of wondered what we were in for, then he played and I never gave his "style" another thought.
roger nelson has left the building ... he will be long remembered after the building is gone. lest not forget the uncountable anonymously written hits for so many other artists. this man also knew how to play i think like about 48 instruments.... i don't think there a big line up behind him with equal skills. forever remembered never to be forgotten so blessed to have had during my entire youth when music really just WAS better ....
