The same here except in the South Bronx. Blacks and Puerto Ricans in the projects. We all grew up together, played together as kids like brothers and sisters, our parents all knew each other, no worries about crime like getting shot in the playgrounds, etc. and the adults in the community watched over us kids. we would play downstairs for hours and hours and we would go upstairs for a drink of water and back downstairs to play again. Now I’m going back way before you, but the Milkman would even deliver bottles of milk to families who ordered them and leave them outside our apartment door and NO ONE would touch those bottles of milk!!!This was around 1968-70. Great childhood memories.
This will sound crazy but to me,a 64 year old woman living in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, this touches my soul.I dreamed of neighborhoods like you described ,full of life and music and family. The feeling this song brings me is bittersweet. Makes me feel like a kid again. ❤
Life is bittersweet but these songs are all the sweet parts. Pure rawness and representative of our time on that point of our lives
Honestly same, I don't remember alot from my childhood save the music and the movies ❤

@@thomaseverette1658 The problem isn’t that good music is no longer being created. That isn’t true. The ACTUAL problem is that the industry is over saturated by mediocrity and people only looking for easy fame.
This era of R&B music was just legendary!
Die anoter day inspired?

Carlos is da SHIGGITY!!!
yah the best of the top 90 song
This has always been a favourite of mine. Ever since I heard it for the first time in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. Certainly one of the greatest pieces by Santana. This hasn`t lost an ounce of its energy and beauty since it came out. The video dovetails so well with the music and the lyrics - a celebration of life and dance. Viva Santana!
Just how much cooler can Carlos be?

poon likka No one can make a guitar cry like Carlos!! No one! I know his sound in the first 2 licks! It's like Shut up and turn it full blown up!!! Then it's like my body starts making moves I never even thought existed!!! For real!!!!
