I’m from Merseyside. I was born a couple of years after it happened and the story was very much in the zeitgeist throughout my childhood. People would use the abduction as a cautionary tale to stop their kids running off in public places, omitting the torture and murder.
I'm from liverpool and its still spoken about frequently here, one of the killers John Venables is often moved to a new prison with a new identity once he gets found out. I know people personally who were in Bootle Strand (the shopping centre he was abducted from) the day it happened
I feel like this is just a blend of ego, kayfabe and head trauma. But we all love that family member, and have a good time with him when we hang out with him
I mean, there's quite a few people who have worked with him who hate him so I don't know if that's a good analogy. A better analogy would be "that one local guy you see a lot and really like but don't know why a lot of his family hates him." His fans don't know him like family afterall...

@alexmartin3143 You don't plead to the judge for sympathy for something that already isn't going to get severe punishment (compared to other things people could go to jail for.) Most drunk drivers don't even go to jail, they get parol with restrictions to stuff like driving. It's ridiculous that a parent would feel the need to plead for their grown adult to not spend, at most like a month or two in jail for doing something that could have gotten someone killed.
@@childpeanut5095 Yeah, I suppose. But this is just so over the top. Especially for a man who has done so much and knows so many people. This kind of lying is generally reserved for people who are nobody and aspire to be something they’re not. Hogan has achieved a lot, so that makes it weird.
For US viewers, I want to highlight just how viscerally we react in Britain to the mention of James Bulger. I'm a police officer in the North West of England, not too far from Merseyside where the murder happened. I have personally met one of the officers that as a young copper, was one of those tasked with guarding the scene whilst detectives and forensics officers were combing and cordoning off the immediate area. When we met, this officer was retired and worked as a driving instructor for a neighbouring police force to Merseyside. He has seen his fair share of violence and death, but the sheer look of pain in his eyes when Bulger was brought up in a random conversation has been burned into my consciousness. For ANYONE to use that horrific event in a self-serving manner, is simply unimaginable to me.

And his only line is you're a dead man. What did he become? The Dead Man.
That is actually a thing though. The studio will pay for travel and everything. This is part of the reason movies cost way too much

Claiming that Roddy Piper sent him a voice message from beyond the grave is a new level of stupidity.
HH is so powerful that he does not see the time in a logical and linear order, so for Roddy Piper calls after he passed away makes sense to Hulk.
He played the voice mail from Roddy
I mean he played the voicemail so your comment kinda goes out the window
The fucked up part is the "Roddy from the grave" story is the most truthful story Hogan has told.
The WWE Biography of Piper opens with Vince taking a call from Roddy. At least Vince would say that it was a joke.
He has a unique blend of traumatic brain injuries of varying severity, and I'm grateful for each of them. He is hilarious, unintentionally.

He says during the interview about the song "i couldnt comprehend children killing children" so it couldnt have been about a make a wish kid that died of cancer.

Understandable. Have a nice day Brother!
Your analogy about Kaylee Anthony is spot on, it's an incredibly sensitive subject in the UK even today. It's beyond crazy that Hulk chose to get involved with his song
Im starting to notice that the 2002 Hulk Rules book seems to be the Crisis on Infinite Earths of Hulk Hogan's universe. Everything established in that book seems to be his official canon, and everything prior is no longer canon.
I fucking love Hogan starting a sentence with “well uh I don’t wanna brag buuut”

The James Bulger thing is horrible if true that case still is felt in that area.
I’m from Merseyside. I was born a couple of years after it happened and the story was very much in the zeitgeist throughout my childhood. People would use the abduction as a cautionary tale to stop their kids running off in public places, omitting the torture and murder.
@@Sydsourtroutit was the same in Glasgow too when I was growing up
I'm from liverpool and its still spoken about frequently here, one of the killers John Venables is often moved to a new prison with a new identity once he gets found out. I know people personally who were in Bootle Strand (the shopping centre he was abducted from) the day it happened
I feel like this is just a blend of ego, kayfabe and head trauma. Like Hogan genuinely believes all this stuff because he has spent a lifetime living as a larger than life character, and his ego won’t allow him to process the reality. The continued one-upmanship and twisting of what could have once been truth is just a result of poorly remembered events.

Hey Beige, thanks for another great video. Dude your digital painting skills are getting really good.
The Venables story is one of those stories it’s hard to hear or even think about. There’s levels of disturbing with Hulk lying related to that story combined with his public image.
I was actually sort of stunned when you brought up Venables. Like man this is just no words
A new critique of Schaub or Segura would be awesome.

Hulkster is quite the enigma. Notorious for stretching the truth and lying. But at the same time, notorious for making everybody, he comes in contact with feel like 1 million bucks. I haven’t heard one fan say that Hogan didn’t stop and talk and make them feel special. Probably self serving, but still……. he reminds me of that one family member we all have.. The one that lies about any and everything for no reason at all. Things he doesn’t even need to lie about. Even when he tells the truth, it’s sprinkled with exaggerations.

@alexmartin3143
You don't plead to the judge for sympathy for something that already isn't going to get severe punishment (compared to other things people could go to jail for.) Most drunk drivers don't even go to jail, they get parol with restrictions to stuff like driving. It's ridiculous that a parent would feel the need to plead for their grown adult to not spend, at most like a month or two in jail for doing something that could have gotten someone killed.

Hogan is one of the greats. This guy helped build the WWF. That's what makes his lying so bizarre. There's just no need for it.

If you pumped out more of these videos and focused on trending topics, you'd genuenly have millions of subscribers by the end of the year. This type of video is super hot right now.
I have a couple of ideas that I'm gonna work on that are big/will probably get a lot of views but also interesting and compelling(in my opinion). We will see how it goes.

The worst one of them all for me is definitely him claiming that Andre died couple days after WM3 after Hogan slammed, that could make sense if for example he never saw Andre again or whatever, but they literally wrestled on the following Mania, they had a big feud in '88, just disgusting

I was suprised that your first video didn't mention his phone call with his son in jail after his near fatal car crash. What Hulk Hogan said in that call I thought was the most exposing, disturbing of anything he's ever said. Lets see if you cover it in this video.
This was a great listen. YT suggested I watch this video and it got me to look at your first video.
The thing is if he didn't lie he wouldn't be in this video. He probably wouldn't be where he's at with his whole career we need hulk slides as much as hulk needs his lies. He lied to love as he lied so he could love. It's like Jesus on the cross except replace it with Hulk Hogan and lies.
