      Hogan was the right guy at the right time from a business standpoint. However he is a terrible human being. But that's what makes you successful in this world. I have been in a lot of places and I don't know of any good people who are successful. Every liar cheater and thief that I've ever met has a ton of money. Every person that would give you the shirt off their back is homeless. That's the way the world works. If it wasn't the world would not have all these problems. We could easily solve world hunger in 24 hours and eliminate the need for money and give everyone a free education and have unlimited energy and all of these amazing things within a few short years. But nobody wants to do that they want to see people suffer

    • @anthonyfaucy2761
      @anthonyfaucy2761 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ModernDayRenaissanceMan Exactly. You have many even gaslighting others that they want to help others yet poverty is ever increasing despite countless charities who supposedly claim they use to help the homeless and not their own bank accounts. Lets just ignore all the massive salaries and bonuses that the higher ups get working at these charities.
      Honestly humans in general are evil. So many have evil in their hearts.

    So many people always say Bret is egotistical, Bret is a mark for himself, etc., but when he actually speaks his piece, he always sounds fair, and he always sounds humble, and he always sounds human. Common human flaws, like being unsure of himself, he was worried he fucked up. I can't listen to his stories, and how open he is about his vulnerabilities, and not identify with that. Same with Scott Hall, he seems very honest about how he actually feels. Whenever Nash or Hogan speak, you can just tell they think they're the cat's ass, and there was never anything that they ever did that was wrong, and they see themselves as the main character in life.

    Most people who've worked with Hogan have no complaints at all, he was a solid Professional, he knew his shit in the ring, as safe to work with as you could get, and being Hogan when you were in the ring with him you were in the Main Event and making Main Event Money. Bret? Bret was great, but he's always taken himself too seriously and has gotten bitter in his years.
    Hogan vs Bret never materialized, not because Hogan was intimidated or jealous, but because Hulk Hogan was Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart was Bret Hart. Hulk was a Brawler, Bret was a Technician, both were good guys, it's not just about putting two wrestlers together but about putting two wrestlers who could work an entertaining match together, as two good guys with diametrically opposing styles that match wouldn't have worked, one of them needed to be a villain, and Vince McMahon wasn't okay with that. That's the other thing the Marks don't ever get, in the WWF then the sun didn't shine unless Vince McMahon approved of it, he was The Boss and while he listened to his talent in the end he shared power with no one. Bret vs Hulk, good guy vs good guy, would have been a terrible match, Vince knew that so it didn't happen.

    I remember going to the minimart and pulling out WWF magazine of and there was a promotional shoot for Brett, Hart and hulk Hogan it was like a tail of the tape and they were trying to shoot the possibility of them wrestling at Summer slam, and this came out a couple weeks before king of the ring And we all know what happened after that Brett Hart went on the winking of the ring and Hulk Hogan lost to Yokozuna….. and there were several dream matchups for Hulk Hogan you have in that era. This was before the publicize matches with Ric Flair. They had some dark matches back in the day and this was also the time for during that time when the attitude Eric came out the possible matchups with the rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin Sean, Michaels Triple H so be interesting to see how those matches would actually lead up to, but I do know for a fact that in the new vision in the new generation plus the attitude era, he would’ve lost all those matches because during WWF and WCW WWE and TNA he had a 100% creative control clause if he didn’t like he was able to change what he had and that’s what bothered a lot of the people about him because he used to pull that card constantly and then when he came back to WWE back in 2002. He was losing to people that he thought he was more superior and and that’s why he left out. Yes, he said because of injury, but he has an ego that a lot of people say that is very true now that overtime that we seen how he is look what happened in the trial, which really damaged his persona as a person and that racial slur that came out of his mouth so there’s a lot of things that he suffering for and a lot of people like to see a man knocked down. I was a hulk manic when I was younger and still am on the restless standpoint but now I see how he is because I was a Sean Michael’s fan doodle his matches and I loved watching Brett Hart wrestle too as well but these guys kept back but it’s to protect himself. You could say the same about Ric Flair to as wellpeople that actually worked at WWE event and they said he’s kind of an asshole too, but that’s the business. I guess when you have all that power and now people look back on it is it really worth having that type of reputation as a human being?

    For sure Terry (hulk) is a normal person who isn’t a positive and supportive character behind the scenes, so Brett saying this comes as no surprise to many people.
    Fun fact: as a fan I had a similar outcome to an interaction with Brett in about 1996 after a big show in Regina Saskatchewan at a nightclub in Regina Saskatchewan, called “Checkers” I believe. I politely and carefully approached him while he stood at the bar talking with a few of his friends or roadies, and respectfully waited close by until there was a break in their conversation so as to not interrupt whatever they were talking about. I saw a chance, so approached him and tapped him on the arm “Excuse me Mr Hart, my name is xxxx and I just wanted to let you know that I am a huge fan of yours, and wanted to say hi and let you know that I appreciate you, and hope to break into the business one day”. Not a word. Not a break in facial expression other than to make a disgusted type smirk while he gave me a quick eye up and down, made a loud “pfft” noise as if to say “ok bud, whatever”, then turned back to the bar and took a swig off his beer bottle. I’m telling you, as a 22yo 6’4”ripped and muscular 260lb kid, I was heart broken and pissed off at the same time. Stopped cheering for him that very day, and decided I wanted nothing to do with a business that had people who treat their fans this way. I ran into Psycho Sid and Ted Dibiase later that night, and those two men couldn’t be any more opposite to deal with. I wouldn’t have approached them if I saw them, but actually ran right into the chest of Sid as I walked around a comer heading to the washroom. HE was apologizing profusely, unaware that HE was one of my favorite wrestlers. 2 of the nicest and most normal guys you could meet. I’ve met many more people in the industry since then, but that always stuck with me. In later years I worked in a gym that a lot of wrestlers worked out in, and had the absolute pleasure of meeting and talking with Owen Hart on several occasions. The complete opposite of Brett in nearly every way, and other people always said the same thing. Brett was always an arrogant shit head outside of work, and Owen was giving and kind. His days off were spent being a proud dad, taking his kids to swimming lessons and volunteering with their school and in the commmnty.
    Brett may be right when it comes to his interactions with Hogan, but make no mistake - Brett is all about Brett, and nobody else ever. Anyone who knows him in real life outside of fan meet and greet event will tell you the same thing. I got to know Bruce hart over the years, and even he didn’t have much nice to say about Brett even though they are cut from the same stiff cloth.
