I have a 2305 and while a pain you can get grease in both front and rear with a long tapered tip adapter on a small pistol grip gun just getting it right to push the zerk ball in. On mine i can get the complete shaft off removing the external snap ring with 90 degree tips in pliers and tapping out role pins .
Thanks Chad! This was helpful. I have the same problem with my 2210. Curious how you got access to the front of that drive shaft to remove it? I even bought the service manual and it does not mention it anywhere. Any tips would be much appreciated.
@frandunigan5835 if I recall (it's been a while), they have a snap ring that I believe is external. I know I started from the back and worked my way forward.
Hi flat-lander guy - thanks for sharing this. So far (knock on wood), I've never needed to do this on our 2210. But at least now I have a video to reference if the need arises! Thanks again. We'd really appreciate if you'd take a look at our channel if you don't already follow us. Thanks in advance!
No problem. What are you're hours on your 2210? The key is not to let them go and hollow out the dog ears on the drive line. I want to say John Deere ask about 600 dollars for it if I recall. Best of luck.
Great info for my 2305. I've been concerned about this since I heard about it recently. Thank you sir !
Huge help! Thanks for the video. I have a 2305, greasing those u-joints is impossible. Thanks again!

Does anyone know what the size(s) of the roll pins that hold the shaft on ? I assume metric?
You're talking the c-clips? I'm not a 100 % sure.
@@chadatkinson3224 not the C clip.
The two roll pins
