    Mr.miyagi,I can't tell you how much I look forward to your video's,ran when parked is my favorite,but watch them all.at this point it feels like you are a close friend, I've learned so much from you,can you answer this question, I'm in need of a front cam chain guide and it seems like they are available in Taiwan version's,is there anything wrong with going that route? Are there any Japanese version's? . Thank you for all the work you do,you seem to enjoy helping people out.have a safe trip

      Well friend the Taiwanese chain guides are just fine, I'm finding problems getting parts from Japan and I see nothing wrong with Taiwan parts. But thanks for watching all the videos I really do appreciate it have a great day and hope to see you on the road.

    Thanks for the awesome video, definitely clears up some things. Would you ever be able to post a quick video of your bike running so we can hear how it sounds? I feel like mine is pretty "tappy", but the valves and cam chain are in spec (supposedly)... would be awesome to be able to compare. Either way, totally appreciate all of the information 🤙

    Just a thought, the welding tip cleaner you’re talking about feels like a smoother serrated rod wouldn’t it probably widen the jets if he uses them wrong, I enjoyed the video thank you

    Don't we need to check the cam chain tensioner first before valves?

    • @outlaw86custom
      @outlaw86custom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No because you are manually moving the valves but should be checked during the process after value adjustment.

    Hey Mr Miyagi, What is your experience with 277 rephrasing of the engine you see some chopper guys do?

    • @outlaw86custom
      @outlaw86custom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, I've built a few and own 2 of the rephrased engine bikes they have less engine vibration, higher RPM but cost more than a stock engine. The only reason I build 2 for myself was because of the Stampede race across country "a non-stop race from coast to coast" . Rules: hard trail frame, on windshield, no hard bags, no rubber mounted engines and zero back up. A smoother running engine for 3300+ miles was a plus. It's hard to say, I like both, but I do like the exhaust sound of the rephrase over the stock. I know that didn't help much but it's up to you how much money and time you want to put into your xs650..... thanks for watching.

    Random question, but have you ever run highway pegs on your XS?

  • @magicstew45
    @magicstew45 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So where your adjustment screws are I have black pieces with a small hole in them covering that spot, how do I remove them/should I? They are on a 1980 xs650

    • @outlaw86custom
      @outlaw86custom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Originally the XS650 carbs for the 1980 were preset at the factory. You will need to take a small drill bit and drill out the black pry it out but be very careful not to go too deep. Not being able to see what's going on with your carbs is difficult for me to give anymore information. But thanks for watching
