Don't black it all out... It looks great as is. Blacking it all out will make it look like a 16 year old modified it in 2010.

nah looks great with gloss black badging..my 2021 820 bhp audi rs7 c8 has it from factory, as do all the top end latest RS and R8 range...certainly not naff, odd comment. looks fantastic. black wheels i dont like but badging is a deffo

The only reason manufacturers offer this kind of mutilation from factory is because there are just too many tasteless rich boys.
@@leekindell9937yeah I agree with you to a point. I had the black edition on my Audi with black badges and no chrome in sight. But I had a white car. Black on black on black is just removes any class in my opinion. Drug dealer black blob spec and very out dated. But each to their own. Just he’s done that spec over and over again. 👍🏼

Making it all black would date it so much, the chrome makes it look so much nicer and very classy. Backing out the car would make it look old

Agreed with most the comments. The chrome and silver makes it a modern classic. Grown up and classy. The moment you change the wheels to gloss black and black everything out you will cheapen the car. Keep it simple
Personally I'd keep the Chrome bits and get matching Wheels Black Wheels are Dead in my humble opinion unless it's a Race Car

funny i live outside aylesbury...they have taken over the old rolling road unit that was there years ago, that dyno is an oldie, been to few dyno days there many many years back with bmws and evos. you have tided up the workshop good though, was a real dim mess the last guys that had it.

Last annual service march '22, you should've bought it including an updated needed service.
Late to the party, but I agree, the car looks so much better stock. I’ve never seen a Gen 1 R8 that looked better modified. Not a single one.
I'm interested in the wheels and tyres.
Hope that SLR gets an MOT soon

Wow, a lot of people don't want the black out. How about half way. Say a dark chrome, rather than gloss black? I think that would work, no?
Gloss black badges in a gloss black car is pointless, they'll get lost against the paintwork. You may as well remove them entirely (don't!) the lovely OEM look with the silver contrast from the grill, wheels, badges is what gives this car its character. I know it's your car and you can do what you want and all, but I'll be very disappointed to see this stock beauty ruined with Halfords-esque blacked out trim...
