I have this unit and it works very well. Very well. And have no problems with it. I love the air in my bedroom now. Easier for me to sleep and less sinus irritations. I just ordered my second set of filters. It is everything they describe and then some. Great product. Thanks Dr Hyman!
I LOVE this Air Cleaner! I use it everyday and it definitely cleans the air! I also have an IQAir in the bedroom (which is over $800) and the Air Doctor does a better job.
Same - love to see a video on how to clean the filter. I washed my Velcro part and found it stretched out to be bigger than the screen. Can I vacuum the white filter?
I just bought this product - seriously?!! What do I not get. It doesn't work .....like at all!! Is there a video which shows how it works? It has pictures of buttons that don't work. I called Customer Service and THEY DON"T KNOW HOW UNITS WORK, so no training whatsoever at Air Doctor. How does it work?? It's going back! Plus the door panels stay open on the sides. They also call out a "Pre-Filter" but it did not come with the unit. There are two filters - Hepa filter and carbon and that's all I got. But the unit doesn't work. I plugged it in and the buttons are "Pictures" which are fictitious and DO NOT OPERATE THE UNIT! OK, brilliant Dr. Hyman. There is no digital display - so it's going back. I refuse to pay a restocking fee! Terrible.
There s a one year warranty on them. Did you ask for a replacement? Was your plug outlet a working plug outlet? I really find this claim hard to believe. And the customer service didn’t know how to operate it? As far as I can see it is self explanatory.. plug it in, hit power, hit auto.
In the case of a non-visible plumbing or roof leak, toxic mold can get established. Which then sends out mycotoxins that are health damaging. As part of a complete remediation (fixing the leak and removing damaged building material) -- air purifiers can play an important role. Especially those that can neutralize mycotoxins that attach to porous objects. So no, Mark's situation with mold remediation (and my own) is not the same as a "band aid". William Croft, you might want to revisit what Dr Shoemaker is saying lately because he is downplaying mycotoxins compared to the other ribotoxins (his new favorite word) that are found in water damaged buildings. www.iaqradio.com/ritchie-shoemaker-m-d-chronic-inflammatory-response-syndrome-research-update/
Thanks WhatThe, great recent interview with Shoemaker. I've had some horrendous personal experience with Stachybotrys (black mold). In my case there were NO visible spores outside of the damaged ceiling (from water leak above). Yet the invisible 'gas' permeated the cottage with massive health impacts due to my compromised genetics. This was in 2005. I made the incredibly stupid mistake of putting some of my prized possessions from that incident into a storage unit. Got completely healthy for 10 years in my new place. Then preparing to move in March 2017, revisited the storage unit. Complete rerun of 2005. Only I was being hit, others were unaffected. www.google.com/search?q=stachybotrys+trichothecene
I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with mold problems. My comment was more specifically toward the comments in the video about other indoor toxins. Good luck with the remediation.
I have a mystery illness that I recovered from but still has small flare ups in October into the winter. I am suspicious of mold, but it's just a guess. One guess of many as I dedicated two years of my life nonstop to trying to figure it out. I have been unable to move because I'm already at the bottom of the wealth pyramid but hope to move soon.

where did you order your replacement filters from
A lot of idiot trolls on TH-cam that are disparaging the AirDoctor. They probably can’t afford it, so they criticize to make themselves feel better.
I have two of these units in my condo. I do love them. I only wish the filters were not $59.00 ever 6 months!!

Wow you really think this does a better job than AirIQ? So hard to tell with their fancy marketing strategies.
$600 isn't exactly affordable...
Its $350 from the Air Dr site.
Have you got a video on changing the filters? I have been looking for one

How can I tell if the unit is working perfectly, how can I measure air quality before and after for cheap. I have a lot of dust though.
I have mold in my body, black mold
How did you find out and what did you do to correct this?

Amy Larson are you serious? Whatever happened? You get your money back?

This is just a band aid. Buy more sustainable less toxic products. The power of the consumer to change the world.
