@@dibcrayron Better? I wouldn't say that. IQ Air and AirDoctor are equivalent in terms of performance and quality. Impossible to go wrong with either brand.
Negative ionizers emit negative ions that attach themselves to airborne floating particulates in your room, causing them to then fall to the ground and no longer be airborne. When the ionizer is higher powered enough it will emit ions with enough energy to have a notable impact on those airborne particulates and therefore improve air quality (since there will be fewer things floating in your air).
I just purchased the IQAir HealthPro Plus but it doesn’t have an air quality display. Would like to get an air quality meter & have narrowed it down to the Temtop LKC-1000S+, Temtop M2000 2nd gen, & AirThings View Plus. Which would you recommend?
Temtop LKC-1000S+ is what we using for testing, so I'm partial to that one. The M2000 looks like a fine choice as well. I don't know much about the Airthings.
Air Doctor suggests that on the lowest fan speed it comes in at 30db, your testing shows that it is over 40 db? I am between buying this unit for about $500 for my massive great room or 2-3 Winix 5500-2 to cover the same area and want to use what I’ll be able to tolerate in terms of sound. Suggestions?
Our testing room has an ambient noise level of around 40 dB. So it being just slightly over ambient is a significant noise achievement, in my view. It's possible it would only generate 30 dB, but that would need to be a highly isolated and controlled noise environment. Not exactly normal conditions, in my view. If it's AD 5500 vs. 2-23 Winix, I would 100% go with the AirDoctor, especially for a great room.
Does the extra intake on this model make a significant difference? I can buy a like new 5000 for $200 so just wondering if the 5500 is worth it. Only difference i see in your results are air particles.
Hey! love your videos. I was wondering if you’ve heard of the ‘surgically clean air’ jade 2.0 air purifier? My local dentist has these in the waiting area and last night I saw three units in a local brewery tap room. The company boasts activated carbon but it doesn’t seem more than a thin matrix of carbon. They also talk about negative ion generation in the top of the unit-they state that Vegas casinos use this technology to keep patrons feeling energized and lively.
Not one I've heard of, unfortunately. Though a company describing an ionizer as being capable of making you feel "energized and lively" is hilarious. They are ionic particles that cause airborne particulates to fall to the ground, not floating Red Bull molecules.
@ModernCastle thnx. Well I have a winix 5500-2. But I can get a deal on the 5500 air doctor for 300 the 3000 for 200. Not sure of should get another winix or just pick up the air doctor. Wich is cheaper to maintain? Winix im sure. But air doctor just better overall no?
Not sure I understand what you are asking. But the baseline starting particulates is right here - th-cam.com/video/gby4vRyHcHQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mdD40FEUdsDcs9GM&t=189

Is this better than the IQ Air Plus or IQ Air Atem?

How does turning on the negative ionizer affect objective air quality measurements compared to leaving it off?

Performance difference between the 5000 and 5500 is incredible small. I would buy whichever model is cheapest when you buy.

Haha! So true.
How's the ad 3000 ?
Just as good.

@ModernCastle definitely but money tight and holidays coming. 200 for ad3000 isn't a bad deal either

Why don't you show the device particles start and going down instead of just talk and showing numbers.
