This is hands down my favorite core release Islay whisky. Nose is so much like lifting the door of a smoker with a beautiful brisket cooking. Also, spot on with the oily finish!

Thank you very much! It's been a while since I've enjoyed a dram of Corryvreckan, but my memory of it is still quite intense. Love that expression. Cheers!

Subscribed... I’m inspired to crack open my PRS again after about 15 years of not playing, and maybe have a wee dram of whatever is left in my cupboard.

Hey, stranger! Good to hear from you again. 😊 Thanks for subscribing and for watching. I’d love to see a picture of your PRS as well. You can send it to me on Twitter at @kevinhoctor, if you’d like. Cheers!

I pretty much don't buy anything under 45% abv any more, it's usually a let down, with that I love all the Ardbeg core range stuff, Ugi and Corry are at constant battle for my favorite, also love Port Charlotte 10, and Laphroiag 10, Just picked up Laphroaig Lore, and a Talisker 10 which I am really enjoying. Sadly here in the state if NC there are many I would love to try but the state abc just don't get.

That's so frustrating when a state or country doesn't offer distribution of certain expressions. Traveling full time does have its advantages (@findingGinaMarie) because I've found whisky variations that weren't available at all in the US. Cheers!

I never add water to my dram. Highest I've tasted was 64.4% and I always enjoy drinking neat.

I rarely add water when I’m sitting down with a dram, but I occasionally like to experiment to see if I’m missing flavors. One of the bottles of Booker’s Bourbon I owned was 130 proof, and I enjoyed it more without water. Yep, I’m a high-proof whisky lover.
