The Riddler could have been captured and tortured by an enemy intelligence service leading to him going insane. This resulted in him being fired and now he wants revenge against America though first he wants to solve the greatest puzzle. Who is Batman?
That idea of making The Dark Knight Rises a two part movie should've definitely been explored. I would've loved to have witnessed Batman being defeated by Bane in the first movie only to have him rebuild himself and save Gotham in the second movie. Would've been epic. I still love the movie we got at the end of the day though.
They should have had Bane break Batman and introduced Azrael as a replacement in the 3rd movie. Azrael would then thrash Bane in the 4th movie and Batman would have fight for his mantle against Azrael who would have turned Gotham into a city of fear due to his brutal vigilante tactics.
My head canon is that Gotham became so strict on crime after the Dent Act that they made an exception to the insanity plea and decided to execute the Joker after the Dark Knight.
He was effectively a terrorist leader with multiple murders attributed to him and his men along with destruction of property. So, your idea makes sense and could even lead to further story ideas. They could've done that as a lead-in to the villain Lockdown.

Having Batman getting his back broken and the movie ending on a cliffhanger would have worked better than how they did do it, with him getting his back broken for 15 minutes and then it flashes to 6 months later where Bruce is learning to walk again.
7:44 - That is EXACTLY what I said on how they could've given a nod to Ledger. Bane refusing to release Joker because he can't be controlled. The Dark Knight is in my top 5 movies of all time I must of watched it about 100 times and still feel entertained each time, such a shame ledger passed away he would of been huge by now, I don't see heath I just see the joker hands down one of the greatest performances of all time
Respect to Nolan for not just following the studios direction and going with Leo as Riddler. I'm sure it could have been good enough but I'd always much rather have a villain who ties into the themes of the film, and not just have whatever studios think will sell. I also thought leaving Heath out of Rises entirely was a respectful choice; though I've heard some criticism.
Eh, I'd rather have Leo or Depp as the Riddler than Dano. And it would've completely given to the story if Riddler would've been wound up by the Joker. Just imagine, they're in Arkham together (oh wait, The Batman did that) and Joker manipulates Riddler just like he did Two-Face. But yeah...this was so much better 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
There was no way to include Heath respectfully. (The most logical explanation is Joker wasn't housed at Arkham or Black Gate like every other Batman baddie). And Carrie Fisher in TROS is just distracting and ghoulish.
Damn. Imagine watching The Dark Knight Rises, having Batman be broken and defeated by Bane, dragged to a prison, the city starting to fall and then a close-up of Bane holding his coat with a pleased look on his face as the movie fades to black and credits roll. I would have flipped my shit right there. And this would have been years before Infinity War.
@Dreadjaws Not to mention that in the second part, we'd have more time to see the occupation of Gotham City and the day to day stuff that Bane's men were doing to the public.
This is what I would've done if I was making a series of Batman movies. It would be my 3rd Batman movie. The story would be a combination of Knightfall and Arkham Asylum. Ending with Bane revealing he let the inmates lose in Arkham, and eventually breaking his back. Fade to black.
I have a such nostalgia for the Dark Knight Rises man. I lived in a Pittsburgh suburb where it was filmed, and everyone in my town always goes to Pittsburgh because it’s literally right there, so in 2011 in the Summer I was on my way to Best Buy with my mom when I saw a ton of cops fighting random dudes and I had no idea what was going on until I saw BATMAN fighting a dude in a scary looking mask at the Mellon Institute (No one knew it was Bane at the time) and I was so overjoyed knowing that a Dark Knight sequel was coming out, I remember buying the Lego set and us watching the news in Elementary School because everyone everywhere was making a HUGE deal out of it. I doubt I’m ever gonna witness another movie being filmed again, especially not where I lived, but damn it I’m glad I got to see that :)
I'd say Joker was most likely taken into custody by federal authorities after the Dark Knight and probably executed or held at a black site or somewhere like Guantanamo Bay. He committed multiple major terrorist attacks on a major city.
Heath Ledger's Joker is still, IMO, the single best acting performance of this century and probably in the Top 10 of all time in the history of movie cinema.
I agree, A lot of people disagree with a superhero movie having a top 10 actor performance but you don't see anyone else when heath was playing the Joker he was just a sociopathic cold killer.
I always felt the Dark Knight Rises ended too abruptly and just crammed so much in one film. A two-parter would given the story more gravitas. And having Heath Ledger’s Joker in the story would have been a fascinating dynamic. Another masterclass video on what could have been my friend.
The biggest problem to me is the occupation is supposed to take place over five months, yet it feels like it all happens in a few days because there's very little sense of time passing. Splitting the films would give you the chance to feel the true weight of this, the struggles for the officers underground, and explore more of gotham's villians. Maybe even give catwoman and robin a decent story together.
Since Batman, Joker and Two Face pretty much wiped out the mob. In between movies Penguin and Black Mask rose up and started a war to control Gotham’s underworld. And as Batman becomes a problem for them they start looking to hire hired killers and such and in comes Bane. But Bane has his own motives and is simply using Black Mask and Penguins pawns. Gordan and Batman can even mention that ever since the Joker, the old style Mobsters kind of went away and replaced with more violent and “colorful “ personalities.
Big respect for Nolan he didn't bring Joker any CGI or deleted scene even for a scene. In the other hand he tried to create a new villain and setup, pay respect to Ledger and make a movie which eventually doesn't bad or felt "oh, that shouldn't be this way".
Of all Superhero or even imo any movie that could have been, the proper Sequel to the Dark Knight with Heath Ledger and whatever Nolan would have created, would be the one films I'd want in an alternate reality
I would have LOVED to see more of Heath Ledger’s Joker or Leonardo DiCaprio’s Riddler, they probably would have stolen the show from Bane, and I am glad he got the spotlight in the movie.
I will always wonder what a DKR with Heath Ledger' Joker would've looked like. I imagine they probably would've stuck to there original plans of holding off Two Face for 3. Or perhaps if Two Face still met his fate in the Dark Knight, would've used a different villain alongside the Joker like Hush or Black Mask or Deathstroke or Penguin or even Harley Quinn. I also wonder what a third film would've looked like with Riddler as the villain, only the mind can ponder and wonder though I suppose. RIP Heath Ledger, the one and only Joker. Also, let's face it, if Bane released Joker, Joker would try and sabotage Banes plans the first chance he got.
Supposedly, there was a scene in the original script explaining that Bane's mask emitted aerosolized Dilaudid, which is a massively powerful opiate painkiller. It's essentially hospital grade heroin. The quote I remember reading from Nolan mentioned that addiction was a big part of Bane's character. The addiction, a clear backstory, and his motives setting him apart from the Joker. The studio nixed all of this because it was during 2010-11 which was the height of the opiate epidemic.
Well while these movies don't really strictly follow a comic structure. The third movie has ALOT and I mean ALOT surprisingly in common with Bane & the Knightfall comics already. If Heath Ledger had survived, I could definitely also still see Nolan doing this storyline. Because even if he's moreso a side character in that story, he's still incredibly impactful. They absolutely had all the pieces for that, with the only thing missing being the amount of varying villains escaping from Blackgate/Arkham.
I remember I had always thought a cool scene would have been when Bane was freeing Arkham Asylum he personally goes into Joker’s cell and has a conversation with him where basically Joker tells Bane why Batman’s going to beat him. Bane slowly paces around while feigning interest in what Joker was saying. At the end, Bane is directly behind Joker when he says the Iconic “Wanna know where i got these scars?” Bane then swiftly snaps Joker’s neck, then says “Not really”
The Dark Knight Rises could have been incredible but its so sad what happened to Heath Ledger, but i must give it to Nolan because the final cut of the movie is still incredible.
They honestly shouldve kept two face for the third film. Everyone likes to talk about Heath's joker (and rightfully so), but Eckhart's Dent was criminally overlooked and underrated. Two Face deserved to be the main baddie of a Batman movie.
Here's what I reckon could've made for a really cool idea if The Dark Knight Rises was a 2 parter. You know how Bruce just appears in Gotham for the 3rd act? What if Act 2 of part 2 was Batman's journey to get to Gotham and needing to find allies (either other DC heroes, characters from prior films or new characters) to not only get him to Gotham but fight. And while Talia Al Ghul's twist was heavily established-I think a neat idea would be Batman fighting Bane' goons and finally meeting Bane in a penthouse only to discover Bane has been dead for some weeks and killed by another villain. Talia, Ra's (not really dead), Scarecrow, Joker or someone else and they've been pretending to be Bane since his death. Also the two parter could've allowed not only The Dark Knight trilogy to set up Man of Steel, but allowed that franchise to have Christian Bale come into conflict with Superman (and Joseph Gordon Levitt's Robin)
Another good video. That's the big thing people need to remember here - there was no version of Dark Knight Rises with Joker. The character was kept alive if they needed him but they didn't already have a plan for him or anything like that so they didn't have to alter the film because of his passing, there was nothing yet. I knew Dark Knight was supposed to be 2 filns original, didn't know they thought about it for Rises as well. I think it was smart to combine the Dark Knight ones, I don't know how well that second half would have worked as a separate film, but maybe splitting Rises would have been a good idea. Part of the problem I had with the film is that it is hard to tell how much time has passed between things - throwing him in the pit and then making the audience wait 3-6 months for Part 2 would have helped with that. Plus I think there is more to work with there than what Dark Knight would have had. I think 2 films would have given the story a lot more room to work with but the film we got was still pretty good.
What Could Have Been: David Lean's *"NOSTROMO"* (Based on the 1904 novel by Joseph Conrad, author of the 1899 novella: "Heart of Darkness") with Steven Spielberg as the producer (before he left and was replaced by Serge Silberman) and an all-star cast with Georges Corraface in the title role, Marlon Brando, Julian Sands, Peter O'Toole, Isabella Rossellini, Paul Scofield, Anthony Quinn, Christopher Lambert and Dennis Quaid.
@@jonsimpson9640 Ironically, Georges Corraface and Marlon Brando would co-star together in the 1992 film: *"Christopher Columbus:* *The Discovery"* directed by the longest-running Bond film director John Glen (with Corraface replacing the then 007 Timothy Dalton as Columbus and Isabella Rossellini - who was to star as Queen Isabella I - being replaced by Rachel Ward).

'Do I really look like a guy with a plan?' Joker's 2nd appearance would have revealed him to have been connected to the League of Shadows. Its what the trilogy is truly about but possibly would have lessened the Joker's impact in retrospect
the 'I think you and I are destined to do this forever' line is I think just fan service, Batman and Joker are mortal enemies and that line hammers that home, it wasn't really trying to set up future battles
From the moment I walked out of there midnight screening in 2012, I thought that they made very good film that could have been 2 great films. They really should have done that.
I would have loved a two part Dark Knight Rises! It’s still a great movie. However, The Dark Knight is forever a masterpiece in Batman cinema next to Batman 89.
From what I heard, The Joker would have had a cameo in TDKR where Bane's henchman and freeing all of the residents of Arkham Asylum, but The Joker freaked them out too much and kept him locked away in his cell.
I got this new Batman novel that takes place in between Batman & Batman Returns where Joker seems to come back. The tagline is "Funny thing about a deck of cards is that they all have 2 Jokers in them". Its called Batman Resurrection. A must have for Batman fans.
I would have taken my chance with the early rumours that Johnny Depp as the Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin or the other being that the movie is based on Batman: Prey where Hugo Strange is the main villain as Batman did take the credit for Harvey’s crimes.
In the tie-in novel of The Dark Knight Rises the Joker is the only resident left in Arkham Asylum (this isn't mentioned in the film and was the author's own idea). I always think he would have been the judge in the people's court (it's Crane in the film)
Jim Carry's portrayal of The Riddler isn't the only clownish portrayal of said Batman villain. Frank Gorshin, TV's very first live action Riddler was rather Joker-ish too.
In the time between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, I read an article teasing who would be the villian in future installments. It mentioned the Penguin and said the role could go to either Phillip Seymour Hoffman or Bob Hoskins. Now, I like Hoskins, but Hoffman would have been the perfect Penguin: elegant, refined, and smart. On the other hand, I still would have loved to see Hoskins as Perry White. Could you see him yelling, "Great Caesar's ghost! Don't call me 'chief'!"?
I'm surprised Batman didn't just say "I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you!" He didn't have to save Joker, but somehow the situation is different with Ra's al Ghul lol 🤪
Rises being 2 parts would have been way better. When the town gets taken over, I feel like it comes and goes and it’s hard to know how much time passes. If the first part ended where they wanted. That year in between the films would have really felt like Gotham was taken over for a while.
There are so few trilogies where the third one isn't the weakest: Spider Man 3 Dark Knight Rises Godfather 3 Return of the Jedi X men: the last stand Etc The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is one of a few trilogies where the third one sticks the landing.
@jasontodd1896 I never said they were bad (I love Return of the Jedi, Spider Man 3, and The Dark Knight Rises) They are just the weakest out of their trilogy
Personally, I am of the opinion that making it a two-parter should have been the route to take. Trying to blend the themes of A Tale of Two Cities along with elements of The Dark Knight Returns, Knightfall, and No Man's Land was too ambitious for one film, even with the runtime the actual movie had.
Gosh, I'm sure that to this day we would of gotten tons of cameos of heaths jokers. Games, shows, and movies. He likely would of appeared in the flash too
Even since I was a kid this was my 1st biggest what If I always wanted but know I couldn't have.....Fortunately I am still grateful for Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker and I'd rather him rest in peace then bring him back with CGI like what happend to those actor's in the flash movie with that awful looking AI CGI scene
I’m not a big fan of Rises. It had some moments that I liked but I mostly found the story way too sped up. I think it could’ve used some more depth and drama. It would’ve been fantastic to see it as a two-parter. However even though I’m not a huge fan of the third film, I do believe that everything they did to properly retire Ledger’s Joker was quite respectable. It would’ve never been the same without him! Good report!
A two parter where Batman was defeated and imprisoned at the end of part 1, along with the prisoners and Joker being released and Gotham being nearly destroyed would’ve been incredible
I'm glad C. Nolan let it be, i definitely could not fathom the tone of the film with those two different energies. The Joker was unpredictable which was oppostite of Bane telling you exactly what he was going to do to you. 'Search him, then i will ki// you 😅' almost every time The Joker got someone he just did it with no warning 😂
Dark Knight rises having part 1 and part 2 would have been so good, with the cliff hanger of Bane defeating Batman and the Joker escaping imprisonment , god damnn that has me wondering . Still love the final product thoe
I think a Mr. Freeze played by a guy like Daniel Day Lewis could've been interesting. Mr. Freeze was as much a sympathetic character as a menace. I think Nolan could've written a compelling script with that premise.
I like that we had the scarecrow as the judge instead Because it was a nice reintroduction after a supposed permanent absence, and it does feel like something any villain in Batman would do.
I'm glad this video actually explains some of the weirdness of Gambol's last scene because I always thought that played out too indistinct to have the needed impact. I never knew he was supposed to live. That makes what we see make more sense..
@@25DoubleDare within a *_second??_* Dude got served instant death from a cut cheek when it has taken people minutes-hours to die from wounds to the neck, throat, heart, chest or lungs
I read an article stating that if Heath hadn't died the story would have been that Bane release everyone from the Asylum except the Joker because he fears Joker would interrupt his plans. Batman during his struggle to take down Bane is forced to break in to the Asylum to release the Joker to temporarily team up to take him down in which at the end, the Joker (After having helped Batman) escapes continuing the theory that 'they're destined to do this forever'. That would have been a much better movie. No doubt the trilogy would have been more epic had Heath not died.
I just had the mental image of a darkened and blurry outline of what can be assumed is the joker sitting on his bunk as the bars roll up to his cell and people scramble to run out the front door. Joker calmly gets up, camera staying in one single, low shot as his upper body disappears and his feet get closer to the bars, and he grabs it and pulls it shut, locking himself back in his cell- with the clang rendering the scene to black and that being the end of it.
I've only watched 13 seconds of this, but I am convinced that it was supposed to be The Joker who killed Bane @ the end of TDKR instead of Catwoman (had Heath lived).
Heath ledger passing was tragic and i wish we would have seen more of him as joker but i think the dark knight did justice to that character enough that i think if he had lived he would have been placed in Arkham and that was his story. bane was a great choice for the 3rd movie i am very glad nolan went that route to conclude his trilogy
If it was in two parts then maybe this could have worked. In the novelization, BANE didn’t want JOKER to be released because he feared JOKER would disrupt his plan for GOTHAM. Both BATMAN and JOKER are always fighting each other in GOTHAM. They both love the city. Having the two be forced to team up in a desperate uneasy alliance to bring down BANE, MIRANDA, and THE LEAGUE OF SHADOWS, to keep GOTHAM from being completely wiped out for good could have made a very interesting story. It makes sense. BATMAN would be saving it, because of his love for the city, and JOKER would do the same because he would just find it irresistible , and he wouldn’t want to lose all the criminal power he has in GOTHAM. They would be doing it for completely different reasons. By the end, they would just go back to their usual feuding because neither of them would ever change..
Instead of creating “John Blake” Robin I always thought it would have been cool for his role to be filled by Barbara Gordon As well as giving her cameos in _Begins_ and _Dark Knight_ ending the trilogy with her becoming Batgirl
I remember after The Dark Knight came out, there were ideas that The Riddler could have been the next villain in the third installment and some people thought that David Tennant would play the role. And while I still consider that idea pretty cool, I know the movie would have given us a more serious Riddler, much like what we got in Batman the Animated Series. I hope some time in the future of live action Batman films we can finally have a much more classier Riddler in a suit rather than a serial killer or a lunatic in green spandex.
I personally don't get why people are so obsessed with 2 parters. I get why producers like them, as they get more money out of the franchise that way, but why do audiences think that's a good idea? Everytime they do it I'm left with the feeling that I only watched half of the story, and there was so much more potential there had they been more ambitious and made one big movie rather than 2 smaller ones. A perfect example of this is exactly what Nolan did with The Dark Knight. It would've been serviceable to have that story in 2 films, but condense them together in one ambitious project, and you have an epic to remember. I remember watching The Dark Knight in the theater and thinking that the chase between Batman and the Joker at night was the "final fight" of the film. Then the Joker gets caught and bam, screen goes black: Intermission. I remember feeling elated that the movie had read my mind as far as what I want from a film, and decided to be ambitious. Having The Dark Knight Rises as a two parter would likely evoke the same feeling of emptiness I feel when stories are divided in 2, so I'm glad they made just one film to finish the trilogy, I don't think the choice to make it one film was an issue at all.
Even though Joker wasn't mentioned, he still was part of the story. It's because of him the Dent Act backfired and escalated into city wide chaos.

The riddler was in the Dark Knight as Mr. Reese when he was questioning Lucius about the tumbler.
Agreed!
100% would have worked better in two parts. It's too much story for one film, it feels rushed.
They should have had Bane break Batman and introduced Azrael as a replacement in the 3rd movie. Azrael would then thrash Bane in the 4th movie and Batman would have fight for his mantle against Azrael who would have turned Gotham into a city of fear due to his brutal vigilante tactics.
So you would have added even more characters, and then we'd be saying it should have been three parts😅@@theoldgods8229
The problem is Nolan was already burned out from the 3rd movie. You can tell by the shaky third act.
@@davidcatlett4052 And he set up a hostage situation where the rescuers would have killed the actual hostages. Not to mention the bombs on the boats where he would have civilians killing each other. Dude was stone cold.
Which brings up another thing. Dude got arrested. Where do you think he was headed? To where those prisoners were going. Let that sink in. Joker got arrested and had to share cells with those he just tried to set up to die. Someone would have gotten to him and the guards would have looked the other way.

Having Batman getting his back broken and the movie ending on a cliffhanger would have worked better than how they did do it, with him getting his back broken for 15 minutes and then it flashes to 6 months later where Bruce is learning to walk again.
Yeah, that's where the film lost me. Plus how rushed the devolution of Gotham was. If felt like a cliff notes movie.
I'll never forget seeing Heath Ledger's Joker in theaters, what an performance.

7:44 - That is EXACTLY what I said on how they could've given a nod to Ledger. Bane refusing to release Joker because he can't be controlled. Bane's whole deal was to control, harm and destroy Gotham. Joker would've messed that up just for the chaos of it. I thought that would've been a great nod that even this underworld mastermind doesn't want to deal with Joker.
Something like that does happen in the movie novelization.

Had we got Leo as Riddler, I doubt we would've gotten Paul Dano as Riddler in The Batman (2022).
@@christiank2608 yeah good point. Glad we didn't cos Dano was great
Eh, I'd rather have Leo or Depp as the Riddler than Dano.
The sequel would be called The Dark Knight Stands.
Exactly. Would have been infinity war before infinity war

The Dark Knight Returns, haha
@Dreadjaws
Not to mention that in the second part, we'd have more time to see the occupation of Gotham City and the day to day stuff that Bane's men were doing to the public.
That must have been awesome man hahah
I'd say Joker was most likely taken into custody by federal authorities after the Dark Knight and probably executed or held at a black site or somewhere like Guantanamo Bay. He committed multiple major terrorist attacks on a major city.
Fun Fact: Ryan Gosling, Matt Smith, Sharlto Copley And Mark Strong Were All Considered For The Role Of The Joker Before Jared Leto Was Cast

for a light-action-thriller, maybe, but there is some oustanding actors out there in other genres.
Daniel Day Lewis as Bill the Butcher is pretty damn good too.
I agree, A lot of people disagree with a superhero movie having a top 10 actor performance but you don't see anyone else when heath was playing the Joker he was just a sociopathic cold killer.
Maybe top 25 of the century, top 100 of all time
I always felt the Dark Knight Rises ended too abruptly and just crammed so much in one film.

Gordan and Batman can even mention that ever since the Joker, the old style
Mobsters kind of went away and replaced with more violent and “colorful “ personalities.

@@Bulletsandblockbusters oh yeah I remember that video now
The trilogy should have been called
The Dark knight (Batman begins)
The Dark knight falls (The Dark knight)
The Dark Knight rises

The image of joker being the sole inmate in an entire asylum is so creepy and cool
Also the two parter could've allowed not only The Dark Knight trilogy to set up Man of Steel, but allowed that franchise to have Christian Bale come into conflict with Superman (and Joseph Gordon Levitt's Robin)
yeah the title would have been the dark knight vs the man of steel
knight vs. steel
this is the most horrendous sequel idea ive ever read bruh wtf does superman have anything to do with it
@@mrreddead fr bro, sounds like fan fiction

Joker is one of those characters that it is hard to write them a supporting villain without him taking over main villain role.
Indeed, I can think of Batman Hush or Batman can dracula but yeah Joker is a main star

In the tie-in novel of The Dark Knight Rises the Joker is the only resident left in Arkham Asylum (this isn't mentioned in the film and was the author's own idea). I always think he would have been the judge in the people's court (it's Crane in the film)
Channel Awesome did that for a Fanscription. They brought it to life perfectly.

Im here after watching Joker II and I wonder how much of the courtroom scenes are attributed or inspired from this screenplay.

Man, it would’ve been amazing for the joker to return. Even scarecrow’s little cameo in DKR was amazing. “Death! …by exile…”
I'm surprised Batman didn't just say "I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you!" He didn't have to save Joker, but somehow the situation is different with Ra's al Ghul lol 🤪
I think I like the ideas of Bane saying we can’t let this guy out. Then when Batman comes back he lets him out. Toooo introduce a little “CHAOS”

The Batman was exactly what I wanted out of a third Nolan Batman. I didn’t want it all wrapped up in a third movie like what we ended up with.
Nolan’s Bane is a legendary character. Tom Hardy was perfect.
0:16 "strict" is being VERY generous, as he killed in literally every movie of the trilogy.
Yes! I always look forward to these videos!
That would've been a good movie I sure hope Mr Freeze does have a redemptive flick in the future.
I like that we had the scarecrow as the judge instead
Because it was a nice reintroduction after a supposed permanent absence, and it does feel like something any villain in Batman would do.
I'm glad this video actually explains some of the weirdness of Gambol's last scene because I always thought that played out too indistinct to have the needed impact. I never knew he was supposed to live. That makes what we see make more sense..
Yeah, that never sat right with me, Gambol dying from a cut cheek. That was wild 💀
If an artery was cut Gambol would have bled to death
7:11 Wait until he finds out that the Bats in Batman Begins and Two Face were CGId.
I've only watched 13 seconds of this, but I am convinced that it was supposed to be The Joker who killed Bane @ the end of TDKR instead of Catwoman (had Heath lived).
So glad Nolan didn't put a cgi Joker in that film, it would've been such an insult to Ledger.
Part 1 called The Dark Knight Falls. Part 2 The Dark Knight Rises
Nice.
I really like Rises. Having Ledgers Joker in it would've been epic. Glad they didn't cgi him though.
Instead of creating “John Blake” Robin I always thought it would have been cool for his role to be filled by Barbara Gordon
As well as giving her cameos in _Begins_ and _Dark Knight_ ending the trilogy with her becoming Batgirl
