I hate background music because I have hearing loss and must wear hearing aids. The hearing aids pick up the music and makes it harder to understand speech. 😢 Yes, I’ve had them adjusted many times with no relief.
I am on my second bottle, works fine for me. I have oily skin so I allow it sit for a while before next skincare step. My acne marks are well faded and pores are smaller. I would recommend for those who can tolerate it
Omg Dr Dray got to tell u- thank you soooo much for recommending the Paula's choice discoloration serum (with tranesemic acid and niacinamide) for facial redness- it's really working!!! I need to send Paula's choice some before and after photos as I think it could really help so many people with rosacea (and they don't currently market it that way.) I'll be sure to tell them it was all thanks to your suggestion! Thank you so much x again x
It is great. But expensive! There is also a product by a Korean Company called Queen. They have a 7 in 1 Brightening Serum that is amazing. My sister found it and gave me my first bottle (Nearly as good, but much less costly than PC…I was having to use so little, so sparingly it wasn’t working as well as it should. (They need to pay teachers more). The Queen serum, along with 10% Azelaic Acid cream has almost completely gotten rid of my melasma (the only other thing that ever worked before was prescription hydroquinone-and it has some yuck side effects for me). For aging and discoloration (so linked too) I use in the PM along with Ascorbic Acid 20% (am), Retinaldehyde .2 (pm) OR Glycolic Acid mask every 3-4 days. I use the Beauty if Joseon Eye Cream Retidegyde Cream on my entire face. It’s just as cost effective (and better) than other brands (and contains Niacinimide as well). The new routine has given me completely new and younger looking skin in less than 2 months. I use Snail Mucin (Essence and Moisturizer) and HA/Matrixyl (Minamisy Peptide) with the Vitamin C during the day-and a thick Amazon knock off of the Cetaphil cream for dryness (as often as I need to). Both snail mucin products have helped with irritation and purging/dryness SO MUCH. I just ordered Queen’s body brightening serum too, it should arrive later today and I am looking forward to using it this evening. Queen is really a product that needs and deserves attention for melsama/discoratuon/rosacea. (But not TOO much, I don’t want it going viral and becoming very expensive and hard to get). It’s fantastic. I imagine it could work in tandem with Paula’s (one AM and one PM ad long as sunscreen is used). Check out the actives for the price! (I get nothing from this…just want to pass the tip on). a.co/d/bUGxQj3 PS-Obviously I didn’t start all of this at once. It’s been a year of adding actives in each month. But over the last two months, I’ve seen the most difference. I only need a Blur Cream or tinted SPF with cover up, mascara, brow tint, and lip balm these days (and maybe a cream blush if I don’t want to look like a vampire). I’m so happy and more confident since I’ve learned about different actives (mostly from Dr. Dray). I plan on adding the new Eucerin discoloration patented ingredient in the New Year (as a slot treatment for a few stubborn places) and start Tret. around my birthday in March (once my skin has acclimated to RetinALs completely). Why I sat on them, worried about the purge for so long, I don’t know. I could kick myself!
Hi Dr. Dray. I was using another expensive serum but I can no longer afford to buy it. I tried Anua Niacinamide and I like the result so far. It did not disappoint for its value. I can tell the glow and glass look on my skin. It looks a lot plumper. And I do notice when a zit starts to break out, it doesn't get as bad. I also use Some By Mi Super Miracle which helps on my acne prone skin. Thank you for your awesome reviews. Wish you a happy and healthy new year!
I love this stuff and have repurchased 2-3 bottles! I use it as a spot treatment and not all over my face. A very little amount goes a long way. It gets rid of my acne scars so quickly!!
First application i applied it my whole face, i didnt like the texture maybe because it is quite a lot. I then made it a spot treatment, which is better.
Omg i was searching the benefits for peach flower extract yesterday and found a research about it (Topical or oral treatment of peach flower extract attenuates UV-induced epidermal thickening, matrix metalloproteinase-13 expression and pro-inflammatory cytokine production in hairless mice skin). On the overall it says that it wards off oxidative stress and has anti-aging and moisturizing properties plus it helps with skin brightening although i don't know to what extent and how well based this claim is to be 😅. Thanks Doctor Andrea for reviewing it for us 😊❤.
APLB is also another great Korean brand - they have a Tranexamic Acid Niacinamide Ampoule & gel cream available, with 0 mineral oils, fragrance free, and very affordable! 🫰

Now that you mention peach fuzz and removing it, could you give us some insight for men (adolescents and older) with acne who need to shave as well, please? Shaving wreaks havoc by making acne flare up when you're already putting so much effort into addressing that issue on its own. Please and thanks. Have a nice week! ♥
@pinkblossomsky I don't but my son did. He's had a full beard since 18 and it's what I used on him to remove the beard when he had acne. (I mentioned that I used it, I figured if no irritation on that sensitive area it would be ok for the face as it's intended)

I have to agree. I’m getting compliments on my skin which has NEVER happened. Redness is way down, decreased lines. I’m sure tret is doing a lot of it but someone at worked called out my skin once I started using the omnilux so there’s definitely something to it.
I found a product called Ondo Beauty 36.5 Tranexamic acid dark spot serum, it has couple of tyrosinase inhibitors; tranexamic acid, arbutin, licorice root, and niacinamide. I have dark hyperpigmentation so I need many tyrosinase inhibitors to fade them, so this has 4 in one. And I use Inkey list vitamin c and then sunscreen.

Thanks again Dr Dray. I have a question. I have been using tretinoin for a few years now, but need to be careful because I have somewhat sensitive skin - even with something like dry air I will wake up with some peeling and, thus, skip the next evening. For this reason, I have felt that I really don't need extra exfoliation for the time being as tretinoin 0.05% seems like enough. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thank you in advance ♥
Dr Dray does have videos on sensitive skin like, dermatologist answers your sensitive skin questions. Maybe check her video from a couple months ago, how and when to start exfoliating with retinol.
@kshym8205 Topically it is safe. It just seemed a bit too risky to take pills to treat melasma , knowing about the risks. Of course, sometimes it might seem like a solid option anyway, I guess.
I will use mine later this spring. Got in in my calendar as well. Making plans for the contents in my calendars. I hate waste. This product I look forward to use. Thankyou for giving the details about this one. Can you use this serum with azelaic acid?
Interesting to me is that my Agency skincare future formula has tranexamic acid 5%, niacinimide 4%, fragrance free (plus tretinoin and azelaic acid 5%). I've wondered if I could find a serum with these and then get a prescription for tretinoin but so far I haven't found this combination.
What about the dose from Victoria’s health ? It has alpha arbutin kojic acid and niacinamide 😊 I’ve been using it for 3 months now and it does help with hyperpigmentation on my cheeks
No one is talking about, how to use this in skin care. If you can use it with retinol, peptide or vitamin c. Like if it reacts with the other skincare. Can you please help.
I am not sure yet but I suspect that I am sensitive to niacinamide and the reaction to any skincares which has niacinamide is very bad, worse than any dermatologist on the social media has stated. For this reason, I cannot use most of popular moisturizers like the Cerave and LRP ones. Please let me know if I am not the only one like this.
It's the percentage..go for nothing more than 5 percent...happened to me but now I have no issues...niacinamide at anything more than 5 percent can be irritating to some people
Wanted to love this due to the hype but didn't work for me... bought it off the official store so it's authentic but it caused a relapse flare-up of fungal acne that took 2 weeks for me to recover from... took me awhile to figure out the problem was the ferments in the ingredient list (not hating on this I do like niacinamide and txa but hope this is a word of caution for everyone to patch test and those who might be prone to fungal acne aka Malassezia)
Hi doc!!! .Happy Monday❤️ I"ve pigmentation and uneven skin on my belly, back, and hips area also dark elbows ,kness and darkness between my legs so my doc recommend me to treat my body concerns with glycolic acid, salicylic acid peel and topical medication Kojic acid 2%.2% Alpha arbutin 2%Licorice Root 2%,Vitamin c 10% Glutathione 2%.vitamin a 00.5 niacinamide 4% Tranexamic acid2%. followering by Body moisturizer Ceramides ,glycerin tocopherol hyaluronic acid ,pantheonlvit B5 mineral oil and Vaseline She said you"ll get results and don't need to add co2 laser and pico laser in your treatment journey so it's fine to pursue my treatment or do i need laser for treatment??? Thanks for your guidance doc❤
I was very worried to try this serum because typically high percentages of niacinamide burn my skin and ruin my skin barrier. But I decided to give this a try anyway and tbh this didnt do any of that. It was soothing, nice and hydrating, and slightly faded dark marks for me so I guess it really does depend on the formulation
Thank you for the review! I’ve been looking at trying a new serum 🩵 Could you pretty please make a standalone video reviewing all the Elf Holy Hydration skin products? 🙏🏼 I’ve been using a lot of products from that line for awhile, super curious on your thoughts! 💭
@@Hemmyii I only saw her discuss their Blemish line along with their other one from several years ago - not the “Holy Hydration” though in a standalone video. Maybe I missed it in a vlog!
For the time being, I'd check Beauty Beyond 40. She did a very short video review on it (she reviews a lot of devices). I've yet to see a derm actually review it. Not to mention the cost difference between it and the Omnilux.
Just finished a bottle. The finish is as sticky as low quality lip glosses from the early 2000s. Impossible to wear it outside because my face looked dirty and greasy. No dramatic change when it comes to post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. My skin was pealing like a snake knowing that I have an oily skin
@@allykimorihii! i have similar experience with what op wrote but only when i wear makeup. i don’t recommend wearing heavy makeup as it will start peeling and my foundation becomes cakey…otherwise it works wonders especially with a hydrating moisturiser. so i decided to only use it as night before i sleep and it actually works on recent acne dark spots but my post-inflammatory hyperpigmentations are still there 😅😅 i mean its only been about 4 weeks so i guess i still have to continue using
Thank you for NOT incorporating unnecessary background music. Makes it much easier to pay attention to what you are saying.
Agree!
I hate background music

It's not my first time using 10% niacinamide and I don't know which one to buy, the ingredients list: Water, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Alpha-Arbutin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tromethamine, Glycereth-25 PCA Isostearate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Zea Mays (Corn) Kernel Extract, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Brassica Campestris (Rapeseed) Sterols, Cholesterol, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Phytosteryl/Behenyl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate, Aluminum/Magnesium Hydroxide Stearate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Isostearate, Fructan, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Glucose, Chitosan, Tris(Tetramethylhydroxypiperidinol) Citrate, Glutathione, Zinc PCA
Is it okay to use with tretinoin?
Haha, I have been using this one since April and it’s a great serum. 😅
For a short term, I am planning to not use anything because I don't knot what I am sensitive to.
Other folks are sensitive to niacinamide. Dr Dray's done a couple videos on it.
Hi doc!!! .Happy Monday❤️

Could this work for reducing freckles?
Can u please review the LYMA LASER? WHY NO DERMATOLOGIST REVIEWS IT?
Isn't 10% Niacinamide alot for the skin? Most formulators say that it should be only up to 5% to minimize irritation and also for efficacy
yes
“Alot” isn’t a word. It’s a lot.
Yeah it's a lot. To some people it could be a bit drying.
On the other hand, some skins tolerate it just fine. Like mine.
I’ve been looking at trying a new serum 🩵
Could you pretty please make a standalone video reviewing all the Elf Holy Hydration skin products? 🙏🏼 I’ve been using a lot of products from that line for awhile, super curious on your thoughts! 💭
Pretty sure she’s talked about them before. You might have to search but I recall her approving them
@@Hemmyii I only saw her discuss their Blemish line along with their other one from several years ago - not the “Holy Hydration” though in a standalone video. Maybe I missed it in a vlog!
Thank you so much, I just bought this product!
Any reviews so far?

The ingredients sound amazing, but... Anyone know of a comparable product with a lower percentage niacinamide?
Can you please tell is it safe for 14 year old ?
Hello dr. Is it pregnancy safe ??
Can you tell us if the Jovs mask is worth it?
For the time being, I'd check Beauty Beyond 40. She did a very short video review on it (she reviews a lot of devices). I've yet to see a derm actually review it. Not to mention the cost difference between it and the Omnilux.
What link has this to “glass skin”?
Just finished a bottle. The finish is as sticky as low quality lip glosses from the early 2000s. Impossible to wear it outside because my face looked dirty and greasy. No dramatic change when it comes to post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. My skin was pealing like a snake knowing that I have an oily skin
Did you use a moisturizer after it?
@@allykimorihii! i have similar experience with what op wrote but only when i wear makeup. i don’t recommend wearing heavy makeup as it will start peeling and my foundation becomes cakey…otherwise it works wonders especially with a hydrating moisturiser. so i decided to only use it as night before i sleep and it actually works on recent acne dark spots but my post-inflammatory hyperpigmentations are still there 😅😅 i mean its only been about 4 weeks so i guess i still have to continue using
