You can scrub the surface lightly with an old tooth brush and then sprinkle a bit more basking soda. Also, you want to leave them in direct sunlight from one day to the next, then wash them with some soap and for good measure you can can leave them to dry in direct sunlight all day again. I did this and it removed all bad odor.
Good qaulity sandals like those are worth the price. I used to buy 1$ Sandals and within a month they would rip from the side. I had these for six 6months and are still look newish.
Dude you're amazing it worked! I just left it outside for 2 days to make sure it will work :D thank you very much! We saved money, i thought i have to buy a new one
Bro how far u came speaking on camera I saw ur first video and I felt like you weren't comfortable, now I'm watching this video and I can clearly tell the difference.
After I wash my slides. I let them dry and then I put Armor All on and makes them look brand new… Also, if you remember just to wash them once a week they never get gross.
Not getting these wet is they key. Never wear these to a pool. When u get out make sure your feet are dry. I've had mixed results with baking soda. It usually doesn't work that well.
yea. the adidas slippers are really fkkin stinkers no matter who wears it eventually it will stink and no amount of washing can remove it lmao. i will try this baking soda method and i'll come back here to let people know if it worked. if i don't come back, then it means it didn't.
thank you for whoever upvoted my comment. i forgot that i haven't updated yet hahah btw, this totally works. my adidas stinker is reborn after the baking soda spa treatment.
So I'm in an apartment in Toronto. We barely get sunlight so how can I go about giving them the sunlight treatment with no sun? I used the baking soda hack and left them out on the balcony hoping it'll soak in the sun for a WEEK but they still smell. It's not as much but I want to be able to get rid of the smell entirely
You could do 1 of 3 methods: 1. either wait for a period where there is going to be sun and try again 2. you could also place them in a windowsill (might take a little longer), and the heat from outside will help 3. or forget the sun method all together and use a freezer. Get a ziplock bag and put your shoes in the bag. Place the bag in the freezer and leave it overnight. The cold will help get rid of the smell.
Will it not shrink if you expose it to direct sunlight? I live in the tropics by the way. I just leave them in a greenhouse because I'm afraid it will shrink/destroy the slides if I place it directly under the sun
I haven’t had this happen to me before. I guess it also depends on the make of the flip flop/slide and the temperature outside. I will keep this in mind though as it could happen. If you are afraid to try it, I would limit the time you leave it outside. You could also pick a time later in the day so that the sun will start to set, limiting the sun time but also providing some exposure.

I found a link to the Baking Soda that I used on Amazon. Got to love the Arm and Hammer! amzn.to/3cWEaJT

Just blow dry them. Where I live if I leave anything outside to air dry it stinks of wet dog 😷

I appreciate your comment!! You always have those first video nerves. After 200+ you start to feel more confident and comfortable when filming.
This dude it too smart for one Earth to handle. He exists in the meta verse.

bro how tf are you supposed to get out the water and go barefoot to the beach on the scorching sand?
THX got some real reekers to try this on!
Cool didn't know baking soda eliminates odors👍👍👍
So, once the sandal has dried, do you rinse off the baking soda? Would have been nice to see the finished result.
Sorry. Let them dry and then bang/scrape off the baking soda into the garbage.
Great vid! most annoying part is how long they take to dry!
you are so detailed!👍
Vinegar and baking soda 🔥
