    The best ways to get rid of your stinky smelling feet are to get the dirty gross bacteria cleaned off you skin! It's never your skin that's the problem. Let us know if this helped, we have a big ego and need positive reinforcement!

      Hi, Tom - Great channel, great videos - I know it’s a ton of work!! You’re confusing ►”bromosis”◄ which is a psychological disorder concerning a person’s irrational fear or awareness of their own body odor, with ►bromidrosis◄ (also spelled, bromhidrosis) which is the actual stink of actual feet (don't we know it, huh ?!?!?!)

    I FINALLY fixed my stinky feet! hehe
    I never had odor issues... Then 2 years ago I suddenly started having some odor. It got worse over time and became a daily issue (despite frequent showering and sock/shoe changing). I just thought it was part of adulthood 😂
    I can't believe it's actually gone!

    • @Anne_Onymous
      @Anne_Onymous 3 ปีที่แล้ว +74

      @@asaprice12 I did a few good washes and noticed a difference but it would return fast. Then I watched this vid mentioning the bacteria and fungus. I realized it had to be done across time and then preventative measures taken.
      I ordered 3 big bags of breathable socks, 2 new pairs of shoes, as well as these carbon + silica pod inserts for when you take them off. Once it all arrived, I did a long Epsom salt foot soak, got rid of any dead skin, then applied a layer of fungi lotion with a little bit of antibiotic ointment mixed into it all over my feet/toes. Then I washed my bedding, threw out every sock and shoe I owned, and switched to the new things I bought. After a week of daily soaking and applications; I switched them to every other day for another week or so. On the days I didn't soak, I still showered and cleaned them very well with a foaming tea tree oil body/foot wash. I also started spraying my feet with antiperspirant in the mornings before putting clean socks on. After a few weeks, I stopped the soaks, creams, etc and focused on prevention so it never returns (washing well, frequent shoe washing, never reusing socks, etc). It has been gone for months now =)

    I have been fighting stinky feet since Highschool, excessive sweating so much that my socks feel soaking wet. My feet smell so bad I can smell them through the shoes like I have a 15ft bubble around me of stench from my feet lol. It’s terrible. Nobody like me, and I always have problems at jobs because of the stinky feet. I’ve tried every home remedy even bleach and that can’t kill it. The only thing I can think of is just cut them off and have stumps because I know that won’t stink smh. I’m cursed, so pissed and fed up. I scrub dead skin off, I’m a clean freak but I smell smh.

The first dermatologist gave me a Bottle with some kind of bottle roller aluminum liquid that’s supposed to help but with the sweat and it helped for like two weeks. And then the second dermatologist wanted to give him the same bottle so it was a complete waste of time I need some hard-core medication or lotion to kill this. I trim my toenails and I clean them and I can tell the smell is coming from the toenail area. My experience my feet does sweat especially in the summer not liking to wear socks either. I brought the Dr Scholl flot on air at Walmart for 11 bucks and use it primarily for the excessive sweating on the feet. And upon good surprise it worked well enough that taking off my shoes is more than ok. And to find out when dirt gets in after repeated days with them. Approximately about 2 weeks of everyday wear it. The odor resistance doesn’t work as well or even at all. so I threw it in the laundry to and is like new to the next cycle of laundry. I ended up by another one for the summer til the laundry cycle.
    I say give it a try, no more chemicals on my feet and saved money.
    Hope it work for you because my feet does sweat notably after a day now is no chemical on my feet for them daily feet sweating.

    I never encountered this until I changed careers. I left corporate to go into costume (film/tv) and runway styling (fashion shows). I started wearing sneakers all the time on production/fashion projects.
    My theory; I previously wore leather, which is more breathable than the synthetic lining in sneakers (material which in itself can cause sweat - which is why I also prefer breathable materials in clothing).
    I rarely wore hosiery (wool thigh highs or socks in winter), so again, breathable materials.
    I have tried baby wipes with disinfectant spray & antibacterial soap to help. It doesn’t last long unless I alternate shoes. The key lesson is that synthetic material will breed bacterial growth.

    2016: Worked at a gym.
    Got the new Reebok Crossfit Nano 6 for work. A shoe nearly made of mesh.
    Got new Reebox athletic socks.
    My feet then shockingly smelled the worst in all my life.
    As if they were soaked in vinegar.
    I then changed to different socks. Adidas.
    Way better. Sometimes, no scent.
    What happened?

    • @mstrikesback168
      @mstrikesback168 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Think I figured it out after a quick search.
      Those Reebox socks mustve been polyester.
      Cotton socks have better absortion.
      Mystery solved.
      Funny how asking a question gets your mind to work on the answer.

    Great video Dr. 👍🏼 I have a question ? My boyfriend has really bad stinky feet but his feet are never dry they are always extremely moist he has no dry skin ! They seem to be so sweaty that his feet get so wet like he just stepped out of huge a puddle or something but we cannot get the horrible smell out of his feet I have tried so many things from soaks to sprays,shoes, socks and its just a matter of minutes before he starts sweating again we live in NY and no matter the weather /temp he sweats on his feet and hands and armpits like crazy and its a horrible odor! He cant even stand his own stench at this point that he gets up in the middle of night to wash and scrub off the smell because neither one of us can sleep with that odor .The smell even stays penetrated to his rubber slides and we constantly clean them and air the out he gets so frustrated that he even sprays our glade air freshener spray in the air and on his feet bc he thinks it helps since it’s lavender scented but I believe it just makes it worst. Is there anything Specific and strong that you would recommend for him to try ?
    -Thank you

If it doesn't get better in near future just make sure to check with your podiatrist or primary care doctor to make sure there is nothing more serious going on.

    I wonder if there is a reason, or a purpose that our feet sweat.....

    • @DrTomBiernacki
      @DrTomBiernacki  ปีที่แล้ว

      VVhat if, we appreciate you!
      In general sweating allows for body to cool down. As sugar and fat are used as source of energy to move our body excess of it is released through our skin as a heat with sweat. Without sweating our bodies would quickly overheat during any movement. Also our skin while sweating may deposit some smelly byproducts of metabolism and some oils to protect surface of our skin from drying.
