In this episode of Adventures with Purpose, we are truly humbled in meeting Elaine to help her search for her daughter, Natalie Jones. (Missing Person, Cold Case)
Jones, a mother of two, disappeared in July after she attended a party in Alabama. She sent a text to a friend saying she made it home. But she never did.
A landowner clearing brush found Natalie’s body in her car in this wooded area on Roosterville Road the day after our search. Stay tuned as we'll bring you the day of the story in just a few days.

This sounds like my nephew Nick Allen's case, the sheriff's detective on his case did nothing for 7 1/2 months until AWP showed up and found my sister's car in the Yadkin river. The responding officer was rude and disrespectful from the moment he stepped out of his car. They chased AWP out of there even after they offered to help. They told them not to go back in the river to get any of the other cars that are down there out. Basically they chased them out of Davidson County and said don't come back. I want to thank AWP for their help in finding my nephew, they are great people and deserve more respect than they are getting. Thanks again AWP!

I'm very sorry for your loss..I don't know how you cope. I can see that most families are grateful for the help from AWP. Not so much the law enforcement agencies... It does seem a little more than just 'sketchy'.

@@kevinkeener3216 gotcha. Could have been a coincidence. I'm just glad that she was found. I feel like everything going on sparked something in that town. It's crazy it takes someone with a following to show up and they get nervous and start doing their job. I have seen this a few times on here. These guys are more powerful than they think. I love these guys and what they do. It's sad in a very good way.
I feel the same way. I would keep in contact with the family to see how the investigation goes. I am sure it will go cold. I hope they find answers. This one is just really strange. They show up and next thing "we found her". I want to keep up with this one. I'm very curious.

I’m thinking she pulled over and accidentally overdosed. The car was hidden from over growing natural plants. The land owner was clearing that area when they discovered the car. It’s to bad the cops did not search that area before the plant’s grew over the car. Rest In Peace Natalie.

Right just because they were documenting everything for us doesn't mean they would post until the family knew!!!Unlike these police AWP have hearts!!! These guys have solved more cases in a couple weeks some days than it took for these police to find a freaking bright pink car!!! No way did they not see that before!!!

Here’s the down-low - it seems pretty clear that this goes *MUCH* deeper than _“they couldn’t bother to find her themselves.”_
First off, I read a Fox 5 news report from Atlanta Georgia that was written in June 2021... It stated:
_Her loved ones have since delivered a petition to authorities and the Heard County Superior Court asking for a grand jury to be impaneled to look into her death._
_"I do believe a fresh set of eyes would help and a grand jury, you know, you get on the stand you have to answer those questions. And that's what needs to happen," said family friend Kristy Goswick._
_So far they have not heard back on their petition request._
I haven’t come across any more news about the case from my cursory small research I did tonight when I was trying to find out if someone had been charged yet for her murder. I couldn’t even find an article saying that their petition was denied.
Second off, I did find one other thing... I don’t know what exact date this specific petition was drawn up - it just says it was started “2 years ago,” and the date I’m writing you atm is August 29, 2022. It is a petition that someone named Kayla Wright started on the Change petition site (it has garnered 4,586 signatures so far):

(1) The role Jonathan Lawrence, of Hogansville, GA played in the disappearance/presumed abduction of one Natalie Jones, of Corinth, GA.
(2) The nefarious roles others, associated with Jonathan Lawrence, have played in the presumed abduction/concealment of the aforementioned Natalie Jones.
(3) The puzzling role Jonathan Lawrence's attorney's family connections to the Georgia Governor, has played in the investigation of Jonathan Lawrence for Drug Trafficking, threatening a witness, arrest for plotting to kill a Law Enforcement and the pursuit of the abductor to Natalie Jones.
We assert the following ...
(1) On the date of Natalie Jones disappearance, it was well known to Law Enforcement, that her ex-boyfriend, who she had met with the day prior, who was a prime witness in his drug trafficking case, who lived but a scant mile from his home, who he contacted the day of her disappearance ... should have been considered a prime person of interest.
(2) Within 10 days of Natalie Jones disappearance, the same Jonathan Lawrence, had his bond revoked for threatening a witness (also an ex-boyfriend to Natalie) over the same weekend Natalie vanished.
(3) Monitoring company records show Jonathan Lawrence had not adhered to the Judge's instructions regarding strict limitations on his travels, while on Court monitored Bond ... including odd travels to storage units and a trip 60+ miles from his home ... on the day of Natalie's disappearance.
(4) Even, in jail, Jonathan Lawrence was then arrested for plotting and soliciting the murder of a Law Enforcement Officer ... a potential witness, like Natalie, known to Natalie, in Jonathan' Lawrence's Drug Trafficking case ... showing his inclination to use court ordered confinement as an alibi and his ease of moving to solicitation, to cover-up intentions and complicate investigation.
(5) Law Enforcement, while aware of the above, delayed, after Natalie’s disappearance to investigate Jonathan Lawrence's role, till long after tower phone records were unavailable , video was unavailable and witnesses to Jonathan's activities on July 4th had dispersed.
In addition, phone records that were retrieved, were shared with the public in a non-uniform manner, impacting search efforts. Storage buildings have not been searched and key video has not been requested.
(6) It is public record, that Jonathan Lawrence's attorney's wife, is sister to the wife of the Governor.
We request of the Honorable Judge, the impaneling of an independent Grand Jury according to...

Let me point out that someone was clearing brush. It may NOT have been visible a few hours earlier. So, unless they had reason to search there, the cops may have driven past every day and not been able to see it.
Plus, don't annoy the cops. The next time they show up to assist the cops in some small town they don't want a reputation of having been making wild claims. It is what it is. Tossing accusations around does not help anyone.
That is so strange that you were given suggestions on locations to search and then out of nowhere someone else locates her car! Your presence definitely helped spook whoever was responsible for her disappearance.

I had the same thought. Especially with the car being there for months and suddenly, someone calls the police and tells them they see a car. It just doesn't sit well.

The “lieutenant” was 100% pissed y’all were there. Very defensive posture (crossed arms, rocking back n forth, side to side on balls of feet). “I have SOOO many resources in my phone, blah blah blah”. 100% unadulterated blowhard with zilch training or common sense.
The “sheriff” was 100% stumblin and bumblin. Looked a little on the bottle to me.
Car had been in that location, JUST off a busy road, for months and these incompetents didn’t know? Gimme a break.

Seems like the "Sheriff" and the "lieutenant" were more interested in engaging in a dick measuring contest than solving the case. They made it perfectly clear, they didn't want AWP there, but legally they couldn't stop them as long as they had property owners permission. If they went somewhere without permission, I got the feeling they would probably have been arrested for trespassing.
How ridiculous this case has more holes in it than swiss cheese that car was in full view of traffic driving along that road I don't know if this is incompetence or a cover up are they treating it as a murder because it damn well looks like it is I hope they went through that car with a fine tooth comb I'm wondering if that car was put their that day if those cops aren't trained enough to handle the case like this it's time for them to bring the big boys in forensics for one
I've read the comments and it definitely solidified what I thought immediately. Those cops were definitely acting strange. Their behavior was uncalled for. Maybe they knew they would be exposed for just plain bad and lazy police work. Thank you for what you do for these families. It's hard enough to lose a loved one. Let alone not knowing where they are.

These small towns are always sketch. Everyone in town knows each other and is close. So chances are when something like this happens the cops might even try and help cover it up to protect the person. Especially if it's an accident.

I've noticed from watching these videos, that for the really old cold-cases, the cops are usually relaxed and supportive. If it happened 30 years ago, the current Sheriff isn't worried anybody is going to blame him for dropping the ball. But when the case is fresh, and the "investigation" still ongoing, the local police get their hackles up very easily. Even though AWP didn't find her car, they definitely "solved" the case. She probably wouldn't have been found for many more months, or possibly years, if AWP hadn't arrived in town to shake things up. Her family can give Natalie a proper burial, and begin the healing process.

Then get pissed off when a guy in a kayak and fish finders want to do NOTHING but help heal FAMILIES hearts and bring them home, and they think they have the right to get angry and puff up like a baboon due to nothing more than help and in some cases do their job because baboon boys would rather puff up than find someone or accept help due to egotistical behavior, its mind blowing to me, law enforcement personnel should be ashamed of themselves ... its really sad.

As a former L.E. Officer, all i can say is......Something just does not add up. Small towns have a way of being able to just lock things away sometimes. Im not saying the Sheriff or any deputies had anything to do with this. But that car was not far off the road. It wouldnt have been too difficult to see from even,,,,,lets say...a lifted vehicle driving by. Something is Rotten in Denmark, as the old saying goes. Just my thoughts and opion.

His first words were the biggest clue. If his Phone was full of resources, then why were they not utilized by then ? Anyone with common sense would exhaust all resources at their disposal. Again, just my personal opinion.
It does seem like someone should have seen it in all this time, and if people were actually searching for her, but in previous live feeds it was made clear that the brush between the road and car was being cleared out. That is how the car was revealed and police notified. If it was thick enough the car could have been obscured, but it makes me wonder how she got back there in the first place if it was that thick.

I've just read an "update" on this case on Knewz, I believe this is a local redtop newspaper.
Since we clearly seen the story in real-time on your TH-cam channel, it's hard to believe a bright pink car had sat "well into a dense wooded area for over two months"
It could be seen on your feature from across the road.
Also, if it had been driven into that spot at time of Natalie going missing, surely you don't have to be Jessica Fletcher to realise any grass, bushes etc woulda been damaged,flattened and very noticeable track carved out.

I've lived in rural communities for most of my life and I can agree with every word you have said. More or less the communities themselves are great. The county though, especially the folks in charge, can be real sketchy though.

Without a doubt! I live in a small country town and I can say secrets go deep and in dangerous places. Scary when everybody knows everybody. There are period that know what happened yet too afraid to come forth with that info. More often than not the law is tangled in deep in these types of cases. Gotta be careful. Just so sad
Imagine that! The car appeared out of nowhere when AWP showed up being sent to bogus locations. How many want to bet someone high up was in on this or a family member of theirs. And people wonder why distrust of law enforcement grows. Misuse of power. Thank you for all you do AWP! You guys are the real heros, and doing it for free when these other slick cats get paid to do it but can't/or won't get the job done.
The hot pink car that has been sitting for months near a road yet couldn't be found. The line: "You aren't from around here are ya!?" said all i needed to know. I grew up in a small town, i know how it goes. The wild rumors, the empty leads,... very recognizable. Apart from the family and the AWP team nobody was speaking the truth here. Not one word. You guys flushed them out, if not, the family would still be looking for answers. Thank you!

The real reason a tip was given and the car found was that someone didn't want you poking around any more bodies of water. As soon as that car was found, they knew you would be gone.....so they "found" it for you.
Small towns sometime hold the biggest crooks. Just like that investigator... im sure there's some dirty secrets in those ponds and lakes no one wants to be found.
Maybe but they searched a lot of ponds and found nothing so there isn't much evidence of that.

Or the witness had a moral dilemma, and to leave the remorse behind, decided to reveal the location. That's what usually happens with alleged witnesses or participants to a crime. Nothing related rivers full of bodies that seem more fictional than real.

Don't you think the police would do a better cover up than that? They would've disposed of the body and did a better job of hiding the car. Police incompetence sometimes looks like a cover up.

Yes! Sounded like he said he had a lot of resources but did not know where to start. An officer escorted them to the next location as if they were worried that they would look around on the way or not go straight there. Then all of a sudden the car was found that same day. A lot more to this story. Might not ever come to light but at least one of those officers know the truth 😳

The moment I saw investigator a-hole with his arms crossed, I said “here we go.” #1 defensive posture that even a baby could call out. I’m just past 9 minutes in, but from some of the comments I’ve read I know my irritation is going to turn into suspicion and anger shortly 😌
as someone who fidgets due to ADHD, sometimes crossing your arms is the best way to keep them from moving. not saying thats why he was doing it, since he did act shady. But it is something to keep in mind!

Don't know about others feelings but I feel that the sherriff in the black shirt was very rude, defensive, and seemed just downright mean. If anyone was offering even the possibility of help in finding a missing family member of mine I would jump at the chance.

What I find upsetting about authorities and police is how protective they are about information 🙄. In alot of cases they have done nothing lately about missing person. . .you all show up and bam they want to take over , get credit or just freak out because someone else is actually doing their jobs!

I saw a news conference where the cops saying “we found them”. The reporter said “no, they found her”.
It's so unfortunate to see law enforcement be so resistant in helping to solve a crime. Or have to justify what they've already done and that they have all the equipment and contacts but yet they still have not found the car or the young woman in such a small town. 😣
No kidding. If I were them I would be jumping for the opportunity to take it as a learning opportunity for future cases. Sucks the system is so messed up and does not give enough freedom for the investigators to take more actions with out having to jump through hoops to call for help or support or finances.
They are so resistant, they know more and not offering any help. I feel like they protecting someone. Other police departments were cooperative.
Cops didn't see a bright pink car, sounds to me they didn't bother looking further than the donut shop.
Frank Tuckwell a few years ago, a few former 911 operators were driving to work, when they saw some odd broken brush on the side of the road, and one broken tree branch.
I admit, by the photo provided I probably would of noticed it.
They did a U turn, parked, and investigated.
Well out of sight of the road they found a vehicle with a deceased mother in it, and her 2 terrified kids (like 5 years old and 2) huddled near by outside of it.
Apparently the mother had been driving late at night happened....they are not sure if she fell asleep at the wheel or swerved to miss an animal, but the vehicle traveled well out of sight of the road before hitting a tree.
The oldest kid was woken up, saw her mom was not responsive, managed to get out of her child’s seat. She then took her sibling and a towel and huddled near by not sure what to do next.
Don’t underestimate the ability of brush to cover up a vehicle. Especially if there is a large drop off on the side of the road.
It definitely seems like they only started really looking once they got into town
@@equarg but statistically speaking, the odds of the car surfacing the same days he is there is slim to none. seems like someone wanted to get credit and be able to edit the story before someone else got the evidence exposed.

Former paramedic and ER nurse here - you are so right with your disclaimer about the use of humor among professionals who do emotionally taxing work. Professionals don't ever use humor to mock their patients or victims, but instead use humor to cope with the job. If we didn't, we couldn't do this work and when people need help from 911 or recovery people like you guys, there would be no one to answer those calls for help. We have to find ways to release building stress, and if you laugh, you can still continue your work. If you cry or panic, you are ineffective.

There was no way they were going to let you gentleman show their department lack of skills a determination with non or little concern be brought to the light. As an EMT, I absolutely 100% agree with the laughter in sad situations. When dealing with death it is extremely hard to process mentally, so attempting to make light of a situation is a temporary fix. When we get alone with our thoughts, that's the when the hell begins. God's Speed to you all.

That sheriff and detective knew exactly where her car was. Someone needs to play this video back to both of them so they can see how pathetic both of them really are. The detective says that he has a lot of resources, but couldn’t find her. So did he use any of his available resources or just didn’t care that she was missing. The cover up that they did was so damn obvious. And then had the nerves to tell those guys to be respectful of the people in their community yet they both have absolutely no compassion for her family and children. All they are doing is playing dress up when they put those uniforms on.

I was followed throughout a smalltown in central NC by a police officer because my Work Truck was suspicious. (It was a large Armored Truck used by GARDA)
As someone who lives right down the road from Ephesus, Georgia I want to personally thank Adventures With Purpose for their help in bringing one of our local ladies home! Though they did not locate her in the water the attention they renewed in the community reminded everyone to be on the lookout for her car and I sincerely believe that without that attention most would have continued to drive past her location without ever taking note of her car and contacting authorities. Thank you AWP! EXCELLENT JOB FELLAS!

It seems like he would be more welcoming to their service. If the county has all the resources then where is the search and rescue team? What's the plan ? where have they searched and haven't? The detective sounds like a douche.

It doesn't seem to hold a lot of sway to hear the police say, "we've searched here/there", because the cops , in a previous video, stated that they'd checked out a smallish lake looking for a car and lo and behold these guys found it.
Even if the car was hidden behind some roadside vegetation a drone would surely have spotted it, and drones are what the police had at their disposal.
Now if the car was brown, beige or green in colour.......but pink?

Something is fishy down south. How does a car stay so weedy free sitting for months in all that overgrowth of vines??? No way the recovery team pulled off all those creeping plants from the body and tires of that car. Come on man.
In There live stream they said that a person was looking to expanded there land and wanted it un weeded, The Grounds Keeper that they Hired was the one that under covered it but never reported it. I think it was a Neighbor that was driving by that saw the pick car and reported it. The person that also reported it said that it was not there that morning .
kudzu grows CRAZY FAST so just because "the cops" said it had plants growing thru this or that. it means nothing if it was kudzu.
I live in Alabama if you park a car in dirt or grass it's going to have dirt and mud all over the wheels and up the sides. The car on the rollback looked more like my car parked in my concrete driveway.

This was not a coincidence. There is more to this story than meets the eye. I can't help but believe that someone in a high position, political or law enforcement is involved and protecting someone. . So sad for Natalie's family and that they will never truly know what happened to her.

There are some skeletons in that small town closet! I know, I grew up in a small rural town that had many dark secrets that only the locals knew and would never talk about to outsiders. You rattled someone pretty good because there is no way that car had been sitting there for months. The local law knows something and they are probably more worried about their reputation than the truth.
Meno Roberts, maybe that's why that Investigator Basel acted such an a**. Either he is on a power trip or feared for his reputation.

Law enforcement in towns like this don’t like feeling inferior by some outsiders coming in and possibly solving their cases because then folks start questioning why outsiders with less or the same amount of information solved a case in a fraction of the time it took law enforcement to do so

I suppose it could all be one MASSIVE coincidence that someone found a hotpink car in a public location off a main road after 3+ months just a day after you showed up in town...

Sadly this seems to be a case of small towns/counties that have a few powerful families/groups that cover for each other. When you add in the timing of her discovery and the child custody issue, foul play begins to become the most reasonable answer.
Kind of like the movie "Enough" with J. Lo., where her husband WAS a cop and his buddies on the police force helped him try to silence her about his abuse... 😳

Yeah first officer gave off some really open good person vibes. (Also hi if you read this!) The second officer just really seemed like he was worried he'd be shown up or blamed for not doing his job. (What was all that stuff about bragging about contacts for? Was that his way of saying he did work? Ok? You don't welcome help then? Why not?) Like as far as I can tell the only detectives or officers who look bad are the ones who do it to themselves. If they welcome help then you know they're working for the people they serve. If not then you know its just a power trip for them.

The uncooperative officer was really defensive because he knows he didn't put as much effort as he should have into solving the case. Its really sad to see someone in a position of power act like that. But thank the lord for AWP ❤

I have to be honest.. Everyone of these search and recovery episodes I have seen its clear your team is more aggressive than any local law enforcement' s efforts. Good for you and keep pushing these agencies to do a better job.

The Hot Pink Car was like VERY near the road, with an almost clear area, so easy to see, and then kaboom, a man found her car 34h after Adventures
got there to investigate. Hmm. I smell something dirty, really creepy about this town, and police as well.

If the authorities in the town act like how they did with the AWP group, there is no way in hell they would want anyone snooping around and making a story out of the whole thing. They would use everything in their power to block, stop, deny any access to the town most likely.
Something happened here. That car was in good condition, didnt look like it was in a lake and then it was just FOUND IN DAYS of the AWP guys being there when it was missing for months.
It stinks of suspicious circumstances. My only opinion is, the victim may have been associated with an officer in the town and the police are covering it up.
Its kind of funny that they find her the day your there. Sounds like somebody on the PD had something to hide tell you showed up

Listening to the officer/detective talk with you guys about how he’s been on the case since day 1 ( blah blah blah) set off a red flag in my brain...he was a bit “extra” there with his introduction. Was it a coincidence the pink car was found in the woods after you all arrived and met with the police? I don’t think so. The fact that it was there for months makes it all even sadder.
