I'm so glad that Sam spoke up. There's no way I would have left Christy out of the loop. Especially, not after this many days of waiting. The fact that she lost her mom in the midst of this search for her husband, is even more heartbreaking. My heart really goes out to her. It wasn’t like they weren’t going to tell her. Jared was just talking formulating a plan out loud in front of the whole group. His concern was only for her. She had been there all morning, she was going to bury her mom the next day. What if the body wasn’t in the car. He had what the police told them which wasn’t an open door. It seems these remarks make Sam to be the only one with Christy in mind. Every person there had Christy in mind. They wanted what was best for her seeing she was already grieving.
I hope you are finding strength and comfort Christy. I can’t imagine the pain you have endured. I truly feel your mom showed them where your husband was. Even though it’s been a while… I know this just doesn’t have a time limit to work through such complex grief. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

But the Metro Police Dept. and the Detective of the case really let us down ..we TOLD them that's where we suspected he was (since the car had not been found) and they did N O T H I N G ...if it were not for Adventures With A Purpose and there friends he would probably still be there ...thank God for the people that actually LOOKED (Metro Police and Detective didn't do squat , for lack of a better word ) at least we know MY MOM and Bill and My husband Andy and Cristy's Mom Jane are Heaven ... and personally i cant wait to see them we lost our worlds in the year 2020 .... sincerely Dana Butler (Hermitage Tn)

You guys are ending that pain. That suffering. That worry. Anxiety. You are freeing these individuals from months/YEARS of pain and suffering and worry...and you are also freeing those who have tragically died, lost and alone. You are bringing them home to their families. I pray for absolutely nothing but success and strength in all your future rescues. Jamie, thank you for the work you do.
My Dad has dementia, and Mom looked after him as long as she could but it really broke her down over time. She spent all her time caring for a man who increasingly couldn't remember who she was or the 50(!!) years they spent together. In doing so she exhausted herself and felt more inadequate as time passed.
Because of people like you, he's in a facility where he gets the loving care he needs; meanwhile, Mom can begin to mourn her loss and spend more time caring for herself and the people she cares about.
It can't be easy dealing with the many needs and challenges but it warms my heart to know you find it rewarding, and I'm so very grateful. Thank you so much. ❤️🍍

i think this episode shines a light on just how difficult sonar scanning can be at times, and why we all need to be considerate sometimes. yes the proper authorities dive teams in areas might be trained and have their own sonar equipment but look at this case for example. it took 7 days of trying and months from other agencies, TeamWaterSonar thought theyd give a couple spots one last look, and give them a few new angles just to be 1000% certain it was clear. before finally finding it.
sometimes its not a case of öh the authorities didnt find it so theyre useless" but rather a case of the authorities looking but maybe not hitting the right angle in the exact perfect spot.

When you aren't is it do to malice or being human? Even if they were 99 percent that means in the 3k dive the one team had done they missed 30. Thats an unreasonable expectation. So matter of factly “He’s in there.” like the departed is calmly sitting in the drivers seat. What he means is what most of us will never experience, and those who do can never erase from their memory, is that there is a pile of disassembled bones, possibly some flesh, and rotted clothing. Being able to calmly inform everyone of the presence of the body, without outwardly reacting to the site shows just what inner strength he has. Bloody legend!

@gaijininja I remember Jared describing the smell of death. Like you said, those who have experienced it have it burned into them. I was disappointed recently when a mental health professional who debriefs law enforcement after tough scenes posted that these guys need to be proactive about their mental health. People ripped her apart like she was insulting their abilities. That was disheartening because I would like to believe people understand PTSD better than that, that being “a professional” is no protection from the cumulative blows any human would experience. For me, it’s not the dead bodies, it’s the grieving parents that linger.

Exactly! My grandpa was suffering from Alzheimer’s , he couldn’t talk, feed himself or walk. Barley awake most days. But he was stubborn his entire life and he was just holding on for months and months. Well after a year + of that My grandpas older brother died randomly one day (he was riding his bike had a heart attack & died in the park) and on the day of his brothers funeral my grandpa died. He wasn’t sick leading up to it or anything, he was in a “stable condition”.
I believe my grandpas brother must have came to get his little brother because he was too scared/stubborn to go alone 💜 he passed like an hour after the funeral.
I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that he died on the day of his brothers the funeral.
Also my mom’s car broke down on the way home from his brothers funeral. She was with her brother way on their way to go visit him. He passed while they where broken down on the side of the highway.
      Coincidence?

If less than a year, a few months, depending on the temperature of the water, some of the ligaments might be present. Especially if the vehicle has all of the windows intact

When a person deals alot with death, emotional pain and tragedy they get desensitized, and after some time they might not get the level of outward emotion appropriate for the video so they will embellish it just a little. My late husband and I dove and were PADI certified. I loved diving. I want to add these guys are so legit. It takes a cool and focused head to do what they do. I’m cave certified and dove in several caves in north Florida. Diving these waters that they show is what I remember. Silt can happen so fast, the currents, temperatures not to mention someone’s loved ones. Y’all are the best. I pray someone does pay you for your time. Peace of mind is worth everything.

This episode really pierced my ❤ heart. Jared has such a deep empathy for the hurting people he's helping. Many prayers to the family and Jared's team for bringing much needed closure....

Knowing you guys had already found Bill didn't make watching this hurt any less, my heart goes out to Christy. Thank you to everyone who assisted with this case.

Thank you for going against the "wisdom" of the others, and telling Christie. You knew in your heart what was the right thing to do at that moment. So glad you were able to bring him home.

Garden Jen's Journey - Who are you talking about?

Agree - given she was burying her Mother the following day, it was the kindest thing (albeit most painful) to do - allowing her to have some time to know what was likely coming.

@@annwithaplan9766 I don't understand your question? Please clarify, so I can answer. ☺️

@@annwithaplan9766 If you pay attention to the video, you will see Jared discuss after they find the truck, that he was advised by the other team there ( Team Watters??) NOT to tell Christie that they had located the truck. He was advised to wait until after they could confirm if Bill was in the truck before Christie was told anything. He and the team chose to go against that advice, and tell Christie that they found the truck, before they confirmed Bill was in it. Even if Bill wasn't in it, Jared wanted Christie to at least know the truck was located and that they were working on trying to see if Bill was in there.

@@GardenJensJourney - No need to be rude. I did pay attention to the video. I just didn't know who you were talking to, as Jared didn't want to tell them either, but Sam did, so they ultimately listened to Sam and went with it. Sam was correct, they were there for Bill's wife. : )
