I just made these greens today following your steps I just omitted the Cajun seasoning because my children they don't like the spice but man oh man I followed every step and these greens are so good thank you so much I could never get my greens to taste like this My granddaddy can make greens my grandmama can make greens My mom but when it came to me I just could not get them tender could not get them tasty and now I found a good recipe thank you so much
I live in Maine and we call it pot liquor. I'm going to make some beans and corn bread to have with my greens and I already have homemade chow chow the kind we make up here which is very very similar to what's made in the south.
I use a smashed garlic clove and chopped onions in my broth. No jalapeno due to a geographic tongue. I hope I'm not breaking a cardinal rule by putting garlic and onions in my broth with my ham hock.
Thank you! I forgot about the turnip and mustard ratio!

Looks yummy! I’m going to try your recipe for New Year’s Day 2021. Never tasted turnip bottoms, so I’m trying those also. Thank you.

I only have one bunch of turnip greens because it's all the store had. I live alone and I realize I'm going to get one serving from that! :-)
Turnip green my favorite.
The store had no turnips either and I have to do a pickup order so I am limited by what they say they have because I am disabled.
Prayers for u

1 bunch turnips to 3 bunches mustards.
@MargueriteCalvin I'm asking for a ratio for Collards and Turnips greens mixed. Please, thank you. No mustard greens.
Where can I find your pot?
