  • Hey guys FatBuddyCat here! Today we are breaking down the stock Hisun 196cc engine from my 2016 Coleman Ct200u. I'm trying to check on a few things with the governor removal and crank swap as I do this. Bear with me as I fumble for a brief moment....it's all the same result in the end!

    When you pulled the crank out it looked to me like it is solid at the back, so that's good news. 👍 I think I'm just gonna size up the hole and re Tapp it a bit bigger and not worry about the chunk of Tapp stuck in the crankshaft tube. Hopefully it will go smooth .

    Nice video! I love watching people disassemble engine. Right now I am disassembling a Tecumseh 8 hp big block from a snow blower.

      Thanks! I like disassembling them and building them back better.

      Love my 196s!! I switching over so everything is the same Base block. I live in nh and it's rare to really find a place to get the bigger engines going. I want this engine to be as reliable as possible so if I take it anywhere it will be easy to keep it going. I did some frame work on the side....🤏🙄

    How you been FBC?
    Here in Michigan I'm getting itchy for the summer season of fun with mini's!
    Got some things to try and some builds to tackle and always on the lookout for some good buys on classic bikes!
    Hope you been doing alright, I've missed last few vids of yours, been busy with life stuff.
    Well let's check out your vid. Take care and keep em coming!

      I'm doing OK. It's real wet and muddy up here. I have some down time to really grind on this new mini bike so I'm taking advantage of it. Lots of junk up my way, dudes selling used Colemans for $600+ kinda drama. I wish people weren't so cheap, I'd have a heck of a business just going through stock bikes that need full tune ups. I swear I'm the only one that knows the brakes and bearings only last a few months!

    I don't know, I think the hammer and pry bar work great, with a lot less jacking around with bolts and nuts.😮

    I'm having this issues with my CT200 it's a Colman. It starts up perfect no issues. But once I turn off the chock it shakes starts blowing white smoke turns off

      Does the smoke come out of the exhaust or carberuretor?

      @his357 that is the best place to start. Usually if you choke off and have a problem it's due to too much air and not enough fuel.

    Quick question...the hockey stick shaped piece loosened up apparently because the pin got knocked off. I'm having a hard time putting that hockey stick shaped piece back in. Did you find an easy way to put it back in?

    • @fatbuddycat
      @fatbuddycat  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Easiest way is to pull the crank without sending the piston to high so you can reattach the rod.

      I love them. I swear they have better blocks than others I've seen. I have another low hour block off of an older Warrior ....that's another beauty!

    Hey man thanks for the vid, 😎 I was wondering if the crankshaft leads directly into the motor (from the center) I know I'm not wording this right so what happened was the crankshaft bolt, the one that holds the torque converter driver pulley on sheared off when the kids were riding, so I drilled it, attempted to tap it, snapped the tap in the drilled hole then had a bit of a metal breakdown and just took a punch to the broken Tapp and drove it through the hole. Now, I can Tapp the hole a bit bigger no problem, but is the broken piece of Tapp gonna give me grief? Does the center of the hollow crankshaft lead directly into the motor or is it capped on the backside?
    I can't really see it leading directly to the interior of the motor but I don't really know.
    If ya find the time to read all this. Please let me know what ya think
    Thanks 😊

      @fatbuddycat  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The hole does not go all the way through. They are fairly deep so you likely just tapped to the back of the theeads.

      @@fatbuddycatthanks man, your video helped A lot 😎👍 I managed to get it tapped (with titanium coated taps which totally suck but it's all I had lol.) it seems to be holding for now. Thanks again 👍

    • @fatbuddycat

      This one is going to be all about simplicity and dependability. No matter what I do from here on will produce positive results. It's only getting 18 pound springs, some shiny parts, a 265 and a 14cc head with a stock(ish) carb. I'm going to try and keep the stock air box and run a header inside the frame....which I also made a few minor modifications too....🤏🙄
