Just sold my hrx537hy 2021 as not great in wet grass. Bought a grin 53cm mulch only which does a far better job. When in full mulch the honda leaves cut grass on the surface, whereas the grin chops it so small it's barely visible on the fresh cut lawn. The grin is a lot more expensive though. Anyhow, thanks for the video, and good luck with the business
i am making so many notes from you videos. Some brilliant points. I was doing some research and come across your channel. I feel a lot more confident starting my own grass cutting business. Down in essex Thanks mate
Hi Rob, Just seen your site great instructional videos and straight forward excellent set up and congratulations... Very professional service... Like your lawnmower choice.. Lee.. 😀
Hi Rob. Why start cutting grass in the rain? If your half way through and you get caught in a shower. That's different. But to start mowing in the rain? It just doesn't make sense to me. Each to there own I guess. But I've never done it yet in six years of being a full time gardener. Your not going to lose the work. It will still need cutting when the sun shines....... Mulching in the wet...... Wouldn't be doing that either...... But hay! Its your business. Like I've said before. Each to there own. Good luck. I'm really glad to see your channel growing so quickly. Well deserved 👍
Thanks for the comment. When I started this lawn it was only spitting and forecast to improve as the day went on. I agree mulching wet grass isn’t ideal, on this day it worked for me. Would it work on all lawns, definitely not. I disagree with your comment on mowing in poor weather. If it not too bad get it cut. Otherwise when do you fit it all in. All the best. Rob.
@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices Hi Rob. Each to there own. I'm not slating you. It's just my opinion. Personally if it's bad weather I prefer to give it a mis and maybe catch up at the weekend. I don't normally book work in for weekends. There my "reserve" days in case I get rained off in the week. Anyway. Congrats again on your channel. I csn tell it won't be long at all before your figures are in the thousands, not hundreds. That I'm sure of. Keep up the good work buddy
What? It is only 600 m2. My garden have over 1800m2 and all my neubours have same in our willage. In this video it is totally flat and nice area, my garden is in high slope with 45 trees and that 1800m2 take me near 5 hours to move it.
Hello Neil. Yes it’s a great mower. The chute does struggle in heavy wet grass. Keeping the blade sharp and regular cleaning especially the bag helps. Thanks for watching and your comment.
@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices Yeah Ive got a little 16 inch izzy at the moment doing some very big lawns. It keeps on going somehow. So I really need something with a bit more punch. Your channel is great. Keep it up.
@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices Hi again, I am just wondering of you could do a video on how upgrading equipment changes the how you work and how it makes it easier/ and increases profitability e.g. Izzy up to HRX537. That would be an interesting one. Just an idea. Many thanks.
Hi mate, just one question does the handle bar fold over easy? Would it effect the accelerate cable? I want to get into the side of the vw caddy therefore need to fold the handlebars a bit. Cheers.
@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices I guess the rain slowed you down. I do a similar size lawn (probably bigger) with a 16 inch Honda Izy and that takes 2 hours. I expected you to do it sooner with the HRX537. Thanks for the info.
New builds they just fk the crap out the back try get them to top dress it once a year build the soil level up over time core it as well that will take the compaction out of it
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, please like and subscribe. See you next time👍🏻

Your right Mark , a great plot. 👍🏻

A know how u feel rob may has been the worst month so far for mowing hope next month picks up a bit great job lad 👍
Thanks for watching Edward. Agree, we have had enough rain now. I am sick of cleaning the bottom of the mower. All the best Rob.
@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices same as rob washing all tool twice a week too keep the lawnmower bag breathing perfect wet grass is a mess

I get so many customers cancelling because its raining, most frustrating part of the job
Some size garden that! You’ll need a ride on mower. Good stuff.
You don’t need to go to the gym after mowing a few like that. Thanks Steven.👍🏻

I am thinking of getting a new lawnmower. That looks a good piece of kit. Does the chute not block up in the wet?

Leave it with me. 👍🏻
Rob, if you had to choose one mower for in the wet, what would it be?
The stihl mowers with plastic boxes collect better than the Hondas.
The cut quality isn’t as good though.
👍🏻great question.

The handles fold easy enough without damaging the cables.
I must say it’s easier if you don’t have to fold them.
How long did that take? cheers
Two hours Neil. All the best.

There is a bit of strimming and a lawn around the front.👍🏻
Did you say it takes 2hrs to mow that garden?
Yes, front two lawns and the rear lawn in the video. Cheers.👍🏻
Hi rob was that today? Great video 👍

Your right , builders need to take more care in the gardens.
My customers would moan if I used a 4 wheeler and not a roller 😩
Oh dear. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.
