Sometimes people get old and sick, sometimes it's financial situations that become an unthinkable burden, sometimes it's the feeling of being all aline with no one to turn to for help or guidance or friendship. Drugs and alcohol become best friends and then hope is lost. Despair sets in and they just don't care anymore. It's sad. You're an angel. Thank you for all you do to help. Non judgementally.

You’re right. Unless the people who live there are so disabled they should be in a nursing home, there’s no excuse for having a yard full of garbage. The wine bottle was from 2018. SIX years ago! The people were that sick and disabled six years ago?! Worthless and lazy would be my assessment.
You are my favorite yard makeover guy! You take away yard waste, repair things, always trim trees and bushes, and make sure every detail in the yard is well cared for!!!!! And you even power wash when needed!!!!!
I have a little mantra that applies here: *folks make bad decisions for powerful reasons*. The reasons usually involve trauma. So while I too am unhappy with the garbage and items lost in the weeds, I also know these folks are not in a good place in their lives.
Exactly! People want houses but arent willing to do the basics. I'm in my late 50s and work and tackle as much as I can before I call in the big guns! I refused to have my property looking like dump or an abandoned TRAP house!!
Everyone has a story. I've always been amazed how people are so quick to judge. I was a single mom of three small children and had to work full time. Unfortunately the yard was last on my list. I tried on weekends but one adult can do so much. The very fact someone hired this guy to clean up their lawn shows that they care.
@@billwilson5341Exactly! I grew up with a single mom that worked her a$$ off and she got priorities done. I've known so many people that live like this mess and justify it when I know they are capable of more. While mental health can play a role and sometimes there are exceptions, most of the time people just make excuses.
@@theroadlesstraveled3993 Thank you! My Mom was also single (due to no fault of her own). She had five children. I remember being outside with her and my siblings doing yard work. It was a team building family time. I look back sometimes and wonder how she managed (but she did). She was an excellent role model as, no doubt, was your own Mom.

Im only 69, but have had lawn service for over 20 years. Sometimes you just can't do it all. Not visible, but i am handicapped. Stage 3 kidney disease, diabetic, and mod to severe arthritis in my spine. I couldn't even start the mower at this stage. But i have the money to pay for services, house is paid for, and plenty to eat. I am blessed beyond measure.

I hope that she is kept well too. I always wonder when lawns look like that if the inside of the residence is worse, or people/animals are being cared for.

A group of us got together and did this for an elderly couple in our church. After a while, it's hard to get around like we used to. This is a great blessing. 😂
I think people just become overwhelmed- and do t know how to do this kind of work- and then they give up. Not everyone has the ability to “see” it. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Who knows- the homeowner could a true visionary- in another field. As a community- if everyone was just good at being an incredible landscape architect- we would just have a bunch of beautiful landscapes- and no cures for cancer. Don’t decide- who people- are, or what they’re going through.

I *never* would have guessed that that backyard was a patio! I thought it was turf! This is amazing. I hope the residents now find it possible to use the space again and can keep it nice. Beautifully done.
Go see if the family or any family that you deem unfit could use your help or assistance. Don't talk and put people down go show the world with your actions how to be a positive change in someone's life. I can't believe how many people and horses are in this comment section. Never in my life would I have thought that under the grass in the back yard there would be paving all over the area!!! You are perfect! The difference is therefore extremely striking. It's a joy. Now the owner has a pretty cozy backyard there compared to the mess before. I get the feeling that no one lives in that house yet? Sometimes people get old and sick, sometimes it's financial situations that become an unthinkable burden, sometimes it's the feeling of being all aline with no one to turn to for help or guidance or friendship. Drugs and alcohol become best friends and then hope is lost. Despair sets in and they just don't care anymore. It's sad. You're an angel. Thank you for all you do to help. Non judgementally.

You’re right. Unless the people who live there are so disabled they should be in a nursing home, there’s no excuse for having a yard full of garbage. The wine bottle was from 2018. SIX years ago! The people were that sick and disabled six years ago?! Worthless and lazy would be my assessment.
You are my favorite yard makeover guy! You take away yard waste, repair things, always trim trees and bushes, and make sure every detail in the yard is well cared for!!!!! And you even power wash when needed!!!!!

I have a little mantra that applies here: *folks make bad decisions for powerful reasons*. The reasons usually involve trauma. So while I too am unhappy with the garbage and items lost in the weeds, I also know these folks are not in a good place in their lives.

Everyone has a story. I've always been amazed how people are so quick to judge. I was a single mom of three small children and had to work full time. Unfortunately the yard was last on my list. I tried on weekends but one adult can do so much. The very fact someone hired this guy to clean up their lawn shows that they care.

Im only 69, but have had lawn service for over 20 years. Sometimes you just can't do it all. Not visible, but i am handicapped. Stage 3 kidney disease, diabetic, and mod to severe arthritis in my spine. I couldn't even start the mower at this stage. But i have the money to pay for services, house is paid for, and plenty to eat. I am blessed beyond measure.

A group of us got together and did this for an elderly couple in our church. After a while, it's hard to get around like we used to. This is a great blessing. 😂

I think people just become overwhelmed- and do t know how to do this kind of work- and then they give up. Not everyone has the ability to “see” it. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.
Who knows- the homeowner could a true visionary- in another field.
As a community- if everyone was just good at being an incredible landscape architect- we would just have a bunch of beautiful landscapes- and no cures for cancer.

Now the owner has a pretty cozy backyard there compared to the mess before. I get the feeling that no one lives in that house yet?
