Willie's take on rookie contracts being capped is makes so much sense. Cap it at 500k for the first 3 years. If the player is real good, all clubs will be able to afford 500k for them, especially if they're worth more. But the best unintended domino is that it will encourage loyalty. Take David Fifita at the Broncos. We got blown out of the water when the Titans put up 1.2M/ Year for him. If it was capped at 500k. It means all the offers would be the same amount, so it would've come down to loyalty as well as a host of other factors. I think most fans would want to see their young junior players stay at their club. Instead, The Broncos trained him, nurtured him, put money into him, only to have him poached by an offer which was just ridiculous. Additionally, the NRL MUST put some cap break rules in place to encourage loyalty in general. Example, if a player has played 8 or 10 straight years at the club. For anytime after that, only 500k or a % of their salary goes towards the cap. Then the player can cash in. It encourages loyalty. Also there needs to be cap breaks for players who come through the system as juniors. Like Fifita. Encourages loyalty and more importantly it encourages teams to invest in the grassroots.
I don’t think Nicho was the down fall of the sharks loss or the origin loss (obviously) but from the looks of it his confidence has taken a massive hit. Might have been a blessing in disguise not getting picked to play at Suncorp because it’ll be 10x tougher than game 1

This show is unbelievably entertaining. Horo could be replaced with a traffic cone, but mason is one in a million. He has an incredible gift of starting a sentence without any idea where it’s going, chucking in a couple bs stats, and making it sound convincing. The amount of contradictions he has in one episode is beautiful. My personal favourite talking about schuster - saying players needs to be professional now 24/7 even on rest days to be paid the big bucks, then immediately following this with training is irrelevant it’s all about how you perform in the game 🤌 10/10 show guys keep it coming!

Also want to point out with TIno, if he isn't the problem with raising his arms then why is it that Reed and Api both tackle the same way against every other forward in the comp then they come up against the Titans and that happens to them? The reason why players tackle high is because there is no reward for legs tackles. You go for the legs you can give away a penalty for cannon ball, you can give away a 6 again or a penalty if you stay on the legs for even a second. Other words you have to get up straight away which in turn give them easy meters with quick play the balls that lead to tries. So why are you saying lower the target zone you can't afford to. His arms start around his hips so you either go down into the hip zone cop a hip or an elbow to the head and get knocked out or you hit the legs and they get a quick play the ball and turns into big meters or even a try. Which again you can only stop that and slow play the balls down by going high. I'm also going to point out something you all seem to notice that he's a massive player, he doesn't need bumpers up for small players like that, it's called fending, you're not going to break a jaw or knock someone out with the palm of your hand, doing a legal movement fending the player off rather than what I've watched multiple times slowing it down when he raises his forearms in both instants and attacks the head of both those hookers.

Same problem with NSW same result for game 2… you two talking about the whole mongrel thing and smashing QLD etc… Wtf QLD don’t play that game. Every year, QLD coaches look for effort and teamwork. We don’t go out to smash. It’s origin, everyone is strong, capable, so good luck trying to dominate us physically. Last game, we did it with 12 on the field, one person on the bench and multiple players out of position, it’s all effort boys. Understand that and you may win the game lol

@levelsnetwork maybe it's the edits but horo starts to get in depth about the team and mason interrupts goes off on a tangent and you don't back onto the nitty gritty. Then gets back onto something about the dogs or teams he likes. I also tip teams to win that I don't necessarily like. As an example of what i mean, horo tried to talk about Ezra and because Willie went off on a tangent , one of the best flick passes ever delivered didn't get a mention. Tag the time where Willie talked about it if im wrong please.

You go for the legs you can give away a penalty for cannon ball, you can give away a 6 again or a penalty if you stay on the legs for even a second. Other words you have to get up straight away which in turn give them easy meters with quick play the balls that lead to tries. So why are you saying lower the target zone you can't afford to. His arms start around his hips so you either go down into the hip zone cop a hip or an elbow to the head and get knocked out or you hit the legs and they get a quick play the ball and turns into big meters or even a try. Which again you can only stop that and slow play the balls down by going high.
I'm also going to point out something you all seem to notice that he's a massive player, he doesn't need bumpers up for small players like that, it's called fending, you're not going to break a jaw or knock someone out with the palm of your hand, doing a legal movement fending the player off rather than what I've watched multiple times slowing it down when he raises his forearms in both instants and attacks the head of both those hookers.
