Absolutely loved this one fellas as a doggies fan makes me hopeful for the future of the club. As a rugby league fan Phil (gus aka dog father) Gould showed in this interview that for everyone at home their is people at the top of our game who don't just embody the past but are looking forward to the future in small things like asking where will you be in 5 years time, making sure their is a future for hopeful nrl players to see a path if not in rugby league.

Loved the last poddy for the year boys. Definitely went out with a bang! Awesome to hear Gus dive deep down into the Rugby League waters giving us an insight of what goes on behind the scenes in a casual setting with you boys rather than on mainstream media.
Would love to see each NRL Club partner up with a Super League club and have a buddy system eg Penrith - Wakefield. Could send over boys in the top 30 to have a run with the partnered team and vice versa. Similar to Joey in 05 when he linked up with Warrington Wolves.
Also Scope can you stop trying to claim Isaiya Katoa for the Kiwi’s. We’ve finally found ourselves a playmaker and his the future of Tongan Rugby League.

Thank fark for Sensei Gus! The best mind in the game by a country mile, and most importantly, I think he may have just saved international football from being relegated to a sad footnote in favour of origin. I love origin, and i love the passion/intensity, but i miss the days when it was a true trial for a kangaroo spot. My best RL memories are of the great international tours/teams of the 80s, 90s and the clashes of the early 2000s. Gus reckons the future of RL is in the international game. Imagine internationals played with the same origin "hate". Fark yeah, bring that shit on.
