I have the Gorilla platform and it's great! Very lightweight and easy to carry around. I'm 5' 7" so it's a must for washing my Murano and my husband's Tacoma 🙂
So helpful! We have a Jaguar F-Pace (our first luxury vehicle), and I'm a short guy (5'8") and have had difficulty reaching/seeing the top of the vehicle. You graciously answered a question on a different video regarding KCx and their products and now you've helped solve another problem. You continue to be my go to source for all things detailing. Thank you!
I washed a contractor's enclosed work trailer the other day. It was the first time I had to use a 8' stepladder and a microfiber mop to clean a vehicle's roof!
Thanks Pan. My wife and I just got a new SUV, this video is a perfect start for me to make sure I have the right tools for this spring. That ladder is a must for me I won’t tell you how many plastic ones I have had have broke.
Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on TH-cam as we surpassed 965,000 subscribers and we have over 130 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
Great Video Pan! That equipment IS an absolute must. The day after I brought the Pickup home from the Dealer I ordered the Incredipole. Somewhat expensive, worth every penny! Some tips that I do for everyone. I put a 'soft type' Tonneau Cover on the pickups bed. I use the pole to clean it, wrap it with a microfiber towel to dry it sometimes, and yet another towel to apply Protectant. Works perfect. I modified the work stand I chose by adding an Electrical Power Strip to the side so I can plug the Polisher into it there when Compounding and Polishing the roofs of our vehicles.
Thanks to you I learned how to detail properly now my vehicles look like new. I just bought the gorilla platform that adjusted to 4 different highlights, it will make it a lot easier to wash my truck. I also bought the mop should be delivered today.
I bought the Gorilla platform after Phil from Miranda Detailing showed off one. I am 6’5” and have found it very useful. I bought the Griots mop and it works great.
I use the Gorilla Adjustable platform (390mm - 900mm), and I also use a folding 2 steps to get onto the platform, as I am also around Isobel's height but heading towards 70yrs, so not as agile/flexible as I once were. To avoid stepping up and down off the platform and steps, I have my bucket(s) towels and topper on the platform with me. Using a rinse less wash, I wash, dry and apply topper at the one time, and just move the platform along the side of the car until the roof (on both sides) is completed. I leave everything on the platform whilst I move around the car, so to avoid bending up and down. I use this procedure also when using a foam canon and/or doing a maintenance wash. My car has not been washed for around 16 weeks except when it rains, as we are about to come out of a strict 15 week Covid lockdown in Greater Sydney from tomorrow (Mon).
Ozzcaddy, could you please explain more about the folding 2 steps you use to get onto the Gorilla platform? I don't think I could safely step up onto the platform without either steps or a sturdy handle to hold on to. Thanks.
3:03 Man that's nice! I coud use that when polishing the car's roof... Curently i'm using a chair. That's unstable and i'm constamtly adjusting it to polish another area.
Being 5’7” and driving a lifted 4x4 makes cleaning a chore. I use items similar to those all the time. Not just for washing but also for window cleaning and waxing etc. The platform also makes a good stool while working on the doors.
Excellent topic! My Sister has a '15 Black Honda Pilot that isn't exactly easy to get the roof clean! Mom's '20 Pearl Subi is challenging to do the roof... You get it! Thanks! I'll be grabbing these from Your links! Have a terrific weekend. I'm doing a '22 Subaru tomorrow"Miranda Style" new car paint enhancement with 303 Graphene to seal it up. Silver... easiest color ever! Have a good one, Pan!
Amazing Pan. I made a couple of purchases thanks to you and this video. Now, wish there was something to help dry that roof with. LOL. Cheers and thanks again! M
Great episode Pan. I have the Maximum Pro Platform from Canadian Tire. I even use it on normal height vehicles, especially when polishing. You can get on top of your work. Great job by your girl friend, when she was folding up the platform I noticed that she never let it come in contact with the ground at any time, picks it up and walks away.
I'm 5'9 and use a 4ft step platform to wash the top too. Always be careful cause when it's wet it does get slippery. I put some slip tape on mine for that reason.
Pan, geat ideas to showcase, and thank you Isabella for your guest spot. I have the Gorilla platform and it's ceraintaily a must have, and let's not forget the home improvement projects. I've been enjoying Autofiber's products and recently acquired thier wash mop with thier Dragon wash media on it , you'll find it very comparable to your Microfiber Madness products.

Great video. Most of the time when washing my truck I can only get the top edges if each side. No idea what the center of my roof must look like. Tried using a step ladder but was to worried about it kicking out on me. Also with a hard cover on the bed I lose the ability to get the roof from the bed. Will definitely pick these up. Thanks for this! At your height do you find you can just get away with the platform and a wash mitt? Assuming you’d probably have to also go to the other side.
Pan,thank you for making these videos. I'm getting that step ladder and so funny, I need a new extender, too. Mine actually died this past fall. I'm really liking the incredimitt. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I've been following you on TH-cam since the start of my detailing hobbyist journey a year ago. I bought many products from your recommendations and I've learned a ton thanks to you! You've honestly got one of the best beginner friendly videos and I've learned quite a ton. Thank you for being very patient and teaching your viewers, I will always be a fan!@@PanTheOrganizer
Thanks man! I appreciate the positive feedback. It takes a lot of time and energy to make these videos so it’s nice to see my efforts don’t go unnoticed by my viewers. Also, I’m the only big detailing channel that actually takes the time to personally reply to TH-cam comments every day, as you can see. I can spend up to four hours daily just to reply to comments. It does get overwhelming as you can imagine with almost one million subscribers sending me thousands of messages and emails daily across all platforms, but I try my best to at least respond to TH-cam comments.
can't beat a good platform, i have an Oddjob model from Amazon when I had my CX-5, but continue to use with the Outback (3yrs now), and also when polishing the roof -- i'm only 5' 4". Importing one from USA will be costly, but looks like Slims Detailing in UK have them for £50.
Thanks 🙏 for that review Pan the gorilla platform is amazing 😉 just by watching it you know it’s not heavy and how it balance on the wet floor I give it a 👍up lol 😂 Pan much love 👍👍👍👍👍👍✊✊✊✊✊✊👊👊👊👊💪💪💪💪👌👌👏👏🤘🤘🤘🤘🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Hey Pan, great video. Yeah I have those issues when I wash my Sorento, it's a big SUV so can't reach the windshield fully and roof so the mop would be PERFECT. The thing I wanted to ask is that can I just use a regular mop with a microfiber tip attachment?
Always great to see your review of new products, Pan. I have an IncredibBrush wheel batrel cleaner, so nice to know they have this product also. I'm also 6'3" and have a hard time reaching the middle of my wife's Grand Cherokee. The best accessory I bought is an angled pressure washer extension for my stubby gun. A must have for even regular size cars
Great idea and these platforms usually go on sale at home depot for christmas for $30 or so. I bought mine about 7 years ago from HD for $20 on black friday, but they aren't that cheap anymore.
I’m 5’ 10” tall and my truck measures to almost 8’ tall. Any platform ladders you’d recommend for that? Having a hard time finding anything but a regular ladder to get high enough on the truck.
I'm 5' 2.5". I use a two step Rubbermaid stool and I am able to reach across half way on the roof of my 2021 Mazda CX5 with a wash mitt. I just move the stool when needed to get the spots I can't reach.
The pole definitely comes in handy on the taller and longer vehicles to reach the top portions. With it being aluminum, I'm sure its lightweight and easy to maneuver.
Thank Pan to share this. Will be good for pickup but I had sparkling idea to wash the RV travel trailer next times. Those high bad boys will be a piece of cake next time. Cheers
I use the exact same Gorrilla platform for washing my truck. I wash on my driveway which has a slight grade and the platform is very stable. Zero problems in a year of using for truck, and my roof looks as good as the hood of my truck (not that many can see my roof). My one bad experience was using it for drilling a hole in a stud on my garage wall. I was having to push on the drill to get through the stud and next thing I know I'm falling. The problem was the load was perpendicular to the platform (i.e. platform parallel to wall and I'm pushing sideways). I should've had the platform parallel with the load or taken the time to go get my ladder.
Those "latter's" stand are also great to put your fan on after an interior shampoo .great height for air circulation inside the vehicle... Bon vid panner...
Hi, Pan! I’m SO happy to have discovered you! As a senior lady, this is all so new to me. Following days and days of research to educate myself on steps, buckets, dollies, sprayers, mitts and mops and such - much thru your kind help! - I’m hopeful I’m close to the end… But as to this topic - by the way your nicely “organized” videos are organized helpfully! - a question and a comment if I may? First, on the platform. My VW Touareg is a really high SUV. So, even at near 6’, I’d need help in washing the top of it. However, a 20” first step to your wonderfully spacious Gorilla platform would be too much, despite my first step into the Touareg not bothering me. I’m thinking the 2-step Little Giant’s Jumbo Step ladder might be the best choice? Have you heard of them? I have their 3-step Safety ladder, but the new to me Jumbo step sounds oveall lighter for carrying around, while offering even more spacious steps and rock solid steadiness, too. Then on a mop. Besides the roof, to avoid all the bending, one is essential! And I’d narrowed it down between this Incredipole and Griot’s Garage’s Car Mop, wanting to choose the former, despite reviews naysaying it’s overall length. Oh, how I wish there was another color microfiber mop on it, besides the blue…. (We gals, sometimes, like to color-coordinate, besides being practical.). But I’ve today stumbled upon the Mitt on a Stick Pro which avoids the to-me, worry-some oscillating mop heads of both. The Pro version (both are microfibers, and come in red and black, too!), has a handy dial freezing forward/backward mop head motion (helpful for RV grills and such?), and also a separate push button, freezing left/right movement - both of which seems very desirable. I’d cringed at the thought of the others’ floppy heads! I’ve also seen several adjustable/extendable handles, where in one, center sections can be added - to no end - at will!), seemingly imperative for big rig owners. Only I can’r find any comparisons or reviews. Have you done one, or are you aware of any that, possibly, that I might have missed? Again, I’m so very grateful for your offerings for us needing to learn. Hoping you can help. And I’ve happily subscribed to your TH-cam channel! Thanks so very much, Linda
Hi Linda! First, let me thank you for the kind words about my videos. Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on TH-cam as we surpassed 905,000 subscribers and we have over 117 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. I haven't heard of the Little Giant Jumbo Step ladder. You are referring to this one? amzn.to/3rkkcDd That seems like a decent alternative to the Gorilla Ladder. For the Griot's Garage Wash Mop Stick, I guess that can work too, but again, I haven't tested that. I also did not test the Autofiber Mitt on a stick Pro, but Autofiber is a good brand, so that can be a viable alternative to the Microfiber Madness Incredipole. Don't overthink the moment, and pick what seems right for you. ;)
Another good video Pan. In the case of needing to polish and wax or coat the roof of an Suv, do you think the platform will get you close enough to the vehicle to do your work?
Hi PAN, I am amateur detailer and I need your help I have carpet with oil old of transmision i could remover tje stain but I feel it wet with oil, can You give some advice for remove totally the oil? Please
Hey Pan, have you seen an incredipole or similar product that is angled like a pressure washer extension wand? An angled pole would allow slightly better access to the roof than the straight pole.
Thats just what i needs for cleaning SUV cars , i hope i find this in belgium . That is sometimes the problem , just like carpro products you find nothing here , sometimes on amazon but its always from the USA of Uk and you pay a lot for import it.
Can you do a pickup truck? How do you get between the bed and cab? Also between the bumper and body specifically on a 2015+ Silverado/sierra with the corner steps in the bumper

Hello Pan. Thanks for another fantastic video. How many times can you machine polish one car before running into issues with reducing the clear coat too much? Thanks! 😎
The only real way to know is to use a paint thickness gauge (also known as paint depth gauge) and do actual measurements, as there are many variables to account for. Age of the car, thickness of the paint and clear coat, what products you use, maintenance regimen, etc. But on a brand new car, with healthy paint, a person could reasonably polish it once or twice yearly for many years before starting to worry. We are talking a light polish (not a full blow two or three stage paint correction with a compound and polish). But again, only way to know for sure is by taking measurements.
Hey Pan I need your help. I’ve been parking my car under a tree little over a month and now I have a lot of brown tree sap spots on the car. They won’t go away with a wash, what do you recommend me using to remove it? Thank you
I have the gorilla platform that will stretch even higher and it is definitely worth the 20 extra dollars especially if you work on diferent types of cars such as lifted trucks.

At my height I rarely need the platform. On cars and mid size SUVs I’m good. For full size SUVs or pickups, that’s when I’ll pull out the platform.
Awesome video and product review buddy.if that pole with mitt was less expensive I Def would buy.great idea 4 that.i just use that very same platform.
😁
Pan,thank you for making these videos. I'm getting that step ladder and so funny, I need a new extender, too. Mine actually died this past fall. I'm really liking the incredimitt. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
😁👍🏻
this weekend is a good time to grab this ladder as its currently on sale 4 >>> $35
I am 5'2" and getting a CX 5 this week. I waa teting to figure out how i was going to get up there. Lol
Thanks for this!
Congrats on your new CX5! What color did you get?
@@PanTheOrganizer i snagged the silver. I would have preferred the blue but i couldn't pass up the deal in a car market like this!
Awesome review of both products. I have the gorilla platform already, looking to buy the incredipole or mitt on a stick. Thanks for the review!
Glad it was helpful! How did you discover my channel?
Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on TH-cam as we surpassed 920,000 subscribers and we have over 120 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers.
You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
Would the extension microfibre mitt work on removing light snow this winter or will the plastic break ✌️👍🇨🇦 Manitoba winters
I haven’t tested that type of use, but it’s built pretty robust so it should be durable.
I Have 2 of platform from Pricess Auto to get to the top of my Silverado and yes a must have tool. I like that pole going to look into that.
can't beat a good platform, i have an Oddjob model from Amazon when I had my CX-5, but continue to use with the Outback (3yrs now), and also when polishing the roof -- i'm only 5' 4".
👍🏻👍🏻
Very cool, thanks for sharing these 2 cool useful products
Thanks for watching!
Hey Pan, great video. Yeah I have those issues when I wash my Sorento, it's a big SUV so can't reach the windshield fully and roof so the mop would be PERFECT. The thing I wanted to ask is that can I just use a regular mop with a microfiber tip attachment?
Hard to say as that is some tinkering around with DIY stuff... You can always try it and see how it works for you.
Great tools to have the step will come in handy
👍🏻
Always great to see your review of new products, Pan. I have an IncredibBrush wheel batrel cleaner, so nice to know they have this product also. I'm also 6'3" and have a hard time reaching the middle of my wife's Grand Cherokee. The best accessory I bought is an angled pressure washer extension for my stubby gun. A must have for even regular size cars
👍🏻
Thank you for this video! I sent you a question on this topic a few months ago.
Glad it was helpful!
I’m 5’3 😭😿 I’ve been waiting for a video like this
:)
Great idea and these platforms usually go on sale at home depot for christmas for $30 or so. I bought mine about 7 years ago from HD for $20 on black friday, but they aren't that cheap anymore.
Yeah on sale they’re a steal!
Some good useful tips there Pan!
Thanks!
I’m 5’ 10” tall and my truck measures to almost 8’ tall. Any platform ladders you’d recommend for that? Having a hard time finding anything but a regular ladder to get high enough on the truck.
Great video Pan, I need that especially for our fire engines👌
😁👍🏻
I'm 5' 2.5". I use a two step Rubbermaid stool and I am able to reach across half way on the roof of my 2021 Mazda CX5 with a wash mitt. I just move the stool when needed to get the spots I can't reach.
The pole definitely comes in handy on the taller and longer vehicles to reach the top portions. With it being aluminum, I'm sure its lightweight and easy to maneuver.
Totally!
Thank Pan to share this. Will be good for pickup but I had sparkling idea to wash the RV travel trailer next times. Those high bad boys will be a piece of cake next time. Cheers
Cheers!
Outstanding as always Pan!
Thank you!! 😁 Have a great weekend!
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you Pan! You too have an awesome weekend!
Wow ! Fantastic video! Thx Pan !
Thanks Matthew!
Good tip
Those "latter's" stand are also great to put your fan on after an interior shampoo .great height for air circulation inside the vehicle...
Bon vid panner...
😁
Hi, Pan!
I’m SO happy to have discovered you! As a senior lady, this is all so new to me. Following days and days of research to educate myself on steps, buckets, dollies, sprayers, mitts and mops and such - much thru your kind help! - I’m hopeful I’m close to the end…
But as to this topic - by the way your nicely “organized” videos are organized helpfully!
Thanks so very much,
Linda
You are referring to this one? amzn.to/3rkkcDd
That seems like a decent alternative to the Gorilla Ladder.
Thanks! And yes the platform allows you to get close all while staying safe.
Thanks! What a tall couple!
I'm 6'3" (1m91) but my girlfriend is 5'6".
i thought you said she was 5'11.
No hehe. She's 5'6" hence the big height difference when she stands next to me.
Hi PAN, I am amateur detailer and I need your help I have carpet with oil old of transmision i could remover tje stain but I feel it wet with oil, can You give some advice for remove totally the oil? Please

Pretty cool hunh?
@@PanTheOrganizer now I’m excited for it to come home! IMY back is going to thank me 😂😂
Any tools to help with reach when machine polishing the roof?
Great video as usual. Could you please do a full cleaning, restoring and coating on a sky box (Thule and/or Yakima). Thanks
Thanks Rick!
Hey Pan, have you seen an incredipole or similar product that is angled like a pressure washer extension wand? An angled pole would allow slightly better access to the roof than the straight pole.
I haven’t seen that
I've been using the Incredipole for some time. It works great but do you know where you can buy a replacement mit for the pole?
Did you try reaching out to Microfiber Madness?
@@PanTheOrganizer I'll have to do that. Great product though and thanks for the video!
I made a video detailing a Silverado Z71 here: th-cam.com/video/g2FPiPkG4MI/w-d-xo.html
Incredipole looks like a great tool to clean an RV or travel trailer!
I used it to detail an RV in this video: th-cam.com/video/OCUWBbPgu8M/w-d-xo.html
Salut pan . Je vien de me faire installer un plancher en polyurea et j'aimerais avoir ton update si tu as de la deterioration et niveau durabiliter si cest encore au top ou non ? Merci beaucoup !

@@PanTheOrganizer awesome Pan thanks a lot! 😎🙏🏼
My pleasure Sean! What’s your favourite video on my channel so far by the way?
@@PanTheOrganizer I like them all but I loved the POV detail where we could follow along right with you as you detailed! 💯
Does the Gorilla Ladders platform get slippery when wet? would it be stable on a sloped driveway? I'm afraid of slipping off the end hahaha
I never had issues with it becoming slippery. As far as the sloped driveway, you'd have to try and see for yourself. I don't have a big slop on mine.
Hey Pan I need your help. I’ve been parking my car under a tree little over a month and now I have a lot of brown tree sap spots on the car. They won’t go away with a wash, what do you recommend me using to remove it? Thank you
Tree sap remover, or claybar.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you again.
Hi Pan the Organizer where do you buy your buckets?
AutoGeek and Auto Obsessed
Great alternative to auto fanatic extension pole. Maybe you can do a review comparing the. The auto fanatic is a bit pricey.
Thanks Michael!
Slt Pan , serait-il possible d'avoir plus de vidéos en 🇲🇫 ? Merci
WOW!!! $41CAN for the Incredimitt !!!!!! Wayyyyy too expensive for what it is IMHO ...That's probably why they call it Incredi-mitt !!!
I have the gorilla platform that will stretch even higher and it is definitely worth the 20 extra dollars especially if you work on diferent types of cars such as lifted trucks.
👍🏻
