- The holiday is a great time to do extra things. Things that you normally can’t do with people in the building. Holiday is a great time to do some extra deeper cleaning. Cleaning when no one is around can be a game changer. You can be more efficient. You can also move faster and not be bothered. Also the things you can get done during the holidays. Can make a difference in the appearance of your building. Plus make things easier on you through your year and days. I have been a custodian for over 20 years. The purpose of this channel is to share some of my knowledge with you. I remember the feeling when I first became a custodian. I was given a set of keys, a radio and a badge. Didn't get any training whatsoever. Being a custodian is not rocket scientist knowledge. There are definitely things that a custodian needs to know. I call it the art of the trade. We used to work a couple of days before Thanksgiving and a few after Christmas. This year we are out when the kids are except a week after schools out.

Where are good places to work as a custodian? I see a lot of staffing agencies with high turnaround and I'm trying to avoid drama.
There is drama everywhere you go. Just punch in do your work and stay away from gossip.
Just go on the interviews and find your fit , if you like perfect. You can always gain more experience and move on if you don't like in a year .
I clean for a company anyway top of lockers any advice on how to keep them clean longer? And I clean YMCA and dust them 3 times a week
I like the swifter dusters.
Sometimes, I use a clean dust mop to clean the tops of the lockers. You can also spray dust mop treatment on your dust mop to get more dirt off.
