I have 3 batteries and 2 of them took at least 36 hours to fully charge. After the green pulsing light appears, almost 36 hours later, the green light turned solid. NOCO tech support says some batteries can take 48 hours. If you measure the DC voltage while the battery is charging, it will complete when the voltage reaches 14.5 Volts DC. For sure this is one really well built charger. Also, not all batteries that have problems can be restored. But even if you are able to repair 2 batteries that pays for the NOCO Genius 10. @Speed00007 Avatrery that reaches green but won't stop pulsing is a battery in trouble. Use the restore feature. If that doesn't do it, don't give up. Try a few more cycles. It took me 4 tries to get a battery charging properly once, and that battery is still good.

Is that your understanding? Thanks!
as long as they are 12v batteries this charger will work great. yes, when charging a bank it is best for a balanced charge to hook up to one batteries positive and the last battery in line's negative. this is also how it should be wired to your charging system for the vehicle.

Can I charge my 12 volt Lithium Iron Phosphate battery with this charger? The instruction manual is worded in a way that makes me unsure. It says, "12 volt lithium charge mode is designed for lithium ion batteries only, including lithium iron phosphate". The placement of the word "only" has me confused. Does that mean lithium ion and iron only, or does that mean ion only and that it is not for iron? Any thoughts?
If your worried go by the specs it charges near 15 volts and charges at a 10 amp rate. It really comes down to if that is too fast, too slow or too high of a voltage for your battery.

@@AntonJMiller That would be a no. AGM should not be pushed that high with voltage. Repair mode is definitely more with Wet / flooded batteries in mind. I'd advise several charge cycles in AGM mode, rather than letting the repair mode cause further damage. OFC if the battery manufacturer allows up to 16,5 V for their AGM, then sure - go ahead. But... I've been dealing with car and yacht batteries for a few years and haven seen a singe AGM manufacturer advising anything above 16 V, most of them state that 14,9 is max. Only flooded are ok with 16 - 16,5 V to reach the full charge. AGM can be fully charged at 14,7-14,9 V. Wet... not really, unless you fancy waiting a couple of days ;)
@@AntonJMiller Up to 16,5 V as the precedessor did. It's clearly stated in the User Guide. On the charger,, If the green light is on solid it is fully charged. Otherwise you can purchase a small battery tester to check health and resistance of the battery or take it to a local auto parts store to check health. You can also check voltage via a multimeter.

Assuming those are actually rechargeable D cell batteries and not some Duracell batteries that are one time use only, then this 10 amp charger would be way too much of a charger for them. You need to get a 1 amp or 2 amp charger at most. I recently spoke with NOCO support regarding charging a 9 amp hour sealed battery using my 10 amp charger (identical to the one in the video here) and even that was too much of a charger for my 9 amp hour battery. The support agent said any battery with a capacity above 20 amp hours should use a 5 or 10 amp charger. Any battery below 20 amp hours should use a one or two amp charger. So without a doubt, this 10 amp charger will be too much for your small capacity D cell batteries even if they are all in series to make 12 volts. Since you posted this one year ago, you may have already tried using that charger for your batteries so reply and let us know how it went. Did your batteries get destroyed or did it actually work? What condition are your batteries in one year later? Do they still hold a charge? And what setting did you choose on the charger itself when you charged them?

Turns on as soon as connected. Then if it's auto sense is incorrect you then can change the settings

I have this model. why does is it's maintenance voltage only 12.8-13volts. I have read that 12 volt batteries should be maintained at 13.5-13.7 volts
It just maintains a float charge. Most batteries rest at 12.8-13.1

It's called a battery monitor. I just ran out on my website but eBay or Amazon should have them.
How to choose 12 v or 12 v AGM if no indication on my car’s battery ? Thanks.
Agm will be safer. However you should find out about what battery you have.

Where'd you find the Bluetooth meter at? Thanks
there are links in the description to buy from either my website or amazon

My car battery 12 volts one cell don't work not bubble up.can it repair that and charge the battery fully?
If one cell is dead dead then probably not
@@AntonJMiller thanks for replying. But what does noco genius 10 repaire? If it cant repair dead cell and recharge the battery fully then i think it's useless expensive piece of kit.then just buy cheap chargers they do good job recharging batteries.
@@trueman5483 if the cell is simply damaged, or weak it can repair it. If it is dead dead it likely wont.

So after the repair mode is finished should the battery be fully charged? or would you have to put it to charge the regular way after?
You should be charging it before doing repair mode so yes it should be.

Does the repair feature on this charger only work with 12V batteries? Looking to desulfate 6V batteries.
Correct... But if you have 2 6v then just wire them in series. Should work.
Can you use Repair Mode on the AGM battery still connected in the car?
Yes. But I would recommend removing it. Its essentially a slow charge.
@@AntonJMiller Thank you Sir for advice. Yes, just in case I should remove the battery first.
@@Waybeyond I do not believe repair mode goes past 15v
@@AntonJMiller Up to 16,5 V as the precedessor did. It's clearly stated in the User Guide. They don't write you can't use it for AGM, however most manufacturers of AGM batteries would not allow such voltage in their warranty cards. Even for OOW I'd not go that high to recover an AGM. Flooded Ca-Ca - yes. AGM - better not to use this mode.
Thanks
Does it hold a charge for jumping?

Yes it gos into maint mode goat charge after full bill charge is completed & green pulsating charge meter changes from pulsing to full on green which in some cases can take days to complete.
Have you had any issues with the bluetooth battery monitor?
Not necessarily, seems to link up to the phone good. The only down fall is that if you and your neigh or have one that you can inadvertently connect to his monitor. So there isn't any "security" about linking up to them. But if you name your monitors the you'll know if your on yours or thiers.

So I had a 12v battery charging for about 2 and a half days the green light was lightly pulsing when I checked the voltage on day 2 it read 13.14v so I was waiting for the green light to turn solid but then the charger status lights started over from the small 25% bar... What might be the issue?
The battery just might not have the ability to take a charge. What's the resting voltage of the battery? Have you ever seen it get above the 13.14?
@@AntonJMiller resting was 10.49v.. No I haven't seen it get above 13v before but I saw a comment saying when it completes charging with the noco genius 10 the voltage is around 14.13v....
