I’m so glad Michelle came out with a cushion foundation for exactly the reason that it has deep skin tones. The whole of Michelle’s makeup line is very Korean/Asian inspired so the fact she brought deeper tones from a product concept that only has light to light shades, I always get a little heated at comments that grip for her shade range when it’s meant for tinted coverage..
Michelle Phan was probably the reason why I stopped caking on my makeup and trying to love my skin more. I've also been watching her since middle school so I hold her close. So having you explore EM cosmetics instead of judging it on one product like most videos was really nice of you. We also have the same skin tone so I can snatch these up knowing they'll look good 😅💕.

I've watched her from old youtube times and she is a very shady business person and also lies to her fans, which is why she is keeping a low profile. Even Em cosmetics had controversy in beginning that she made emplopyees make fake accounts and write positive reviews.

I think the guy is talking about when she first started EM cosmetics and she made a few business mistakes but so does every brand when they start. It's unfair to believe she'll be perfect at something she has never done before.

@@mimiyoshi98 I used to LOVE Michelle Phan but recently found out that apparently she has some sketchy views- she said something about how black people are more likely to commit crimes, promotes pseudoscience, and her whole thing with FDA Asia. The thing is, she said most of these things on insta stories which disappear after 24 hours and she isn’t as big as she used to be so people just kinda forgot/didn’t pay attention to her saying these things. Maybe she’s changed since, we don’t know, but she’s definitely not as unproblematic everyone makes her out to be. @@FeliciaQuan Reddit is never a good source to use especially when they themselves don't post proof. However I will state that her makeup doesn't have enough shades and alot of the Black Community have stated that and that I will side on COMPLETELY. It's 2020 and any one stepping in the makeup game should be ready to serve ALL people and colors. FDA asia is what I was talking about when she first started the business. The Covid essential oil thing, she addressed immediately and how it was supposed to help and not cure. These moves weren't smart for her but honestly they aren't as bad as we see nowadays with other beauty gurus just straight up throwing parties or traveling during Covid. We cannot expect somebody to be perfect. However if I can try to find her actually posting racial stuff rn I'll post it. I'm still looking into it.

btw, most em cosmetics products have similar shades (like magic hour, faded clementine), so it’s very easy to buy lipstick, blush and other products that go together very well (because they are the same shade) 😉

I love Michelle Phan, she really tries to just highlight and enhance natural beauty. She taught me how to do makeup.
the packaging issue is a systematic issue and the one and only criticism of these serum blushers. imo, they're worth decanting. esp the Venetian Rose blusher is almost unique. I have yet to see anyone duping it even in other textures.

You're the first influencer of make up he's seen, you've gave him so much confidence with out even knowing, because he's male he felt embarrassed because of society at FIVE & his older brother isn't into make up etc & only knows females who wear it. so I introduced him to your videos, he was amazed and said you're sooo pretty, the rest is history.✌😁 thank you 😊

For the liquid blushes, don’t close the lid when you’re pushing in the button, just hover it inside the component, and push the button down, it needs air so the mechanism can work :) 💜

YES. Finally people are coming across Queen Phan’s makeup brand. I have two blushes and so many products from her and they’re all SO AMAZING even on my textured skin. She’s beautiful inside out and so is her brand. They’re SO aesthetic.

@@MADEbySOUL thank you! I stated at 15 (I’m 24 now) to hide acne and redness. I haven’t really used makeup since I was about 18. I only really use the glossier skin tint because it’s super sheer and just makes me look a little more healthy/awake
Yes! If you go to her IG, you'll see that it was inspired by the "golden hour". The makeup is also beautiful 😍 in that lighting. She also says that the cushion works as a primer as well. EM has more Faded Clementine products coming out too. A lip cushion and eye palette. The palette looks so beautiful. Like a fiery tangerine sunset sky color scheme but wearable.

That eyeshadow is really cool. It's like it's using the highlighter of your natural skin tone with the blush of your natural skin tone and becomes a duochrome eyeshadow. So so nice and complimentary to your features.

About cushions not having the right shade; yesstyle also has these 'empty' cushions in which you can pour your own liquid foundation. Might be worth for some to look into that as well 😊😊

I think you're right Robert. Michelle Phan has ALWAYS made a point to emphasize shadows and light in makeup and also has background in art like drawing and painting so I think that's a big theme for her brand.
ok so for the blush pump mechanism i'm pretty sure you need to push the button down before placing it in the product, hold it down while dunking it inside, and then release. I hope this helps!!
i've been staring at em cosmetics for SO long, and you've essentially sold me on the cusion and eyeshadow that i've been yearning for; i just have no idea how you could stomach the shipping and customs and tax etc. why does the universe not want me to have nice things????

I own and LOVE and wear daily EVERYTHING Em Cosmetics. It's not cheap but it's honestly amazing stuff and for me and my skin and preferences it works amazingly. I bought this the SECOND it dropped and I got the email. I love it I've been using it religiously. I've always loved cushions and I really havent been wearing much face makeup anyway. While I'm not head over heels about the mascara, the lip products, the brush tip eyeliner, the serum blushes and the powder blushes are perfection. They're expensive... I never thought I'd spend $75 on just 3 shades of serum blush.... but I do not regret it. I want to support Michelle so I dont even use the coupon codes I get sent lol. Robert you're my favorite and it makes me soooo happy to see you trying and enjoying these. I love when my unproblematic faves support each other. 🖤🖤

Hi Robert! I’m a fanatic for the serum blushes and thought I might give a tip on getting more product out of the dropper: when you go to get more, hold the button as you dip back in. Once it’s submerged, release the button and pull back out. I find that this is usually the most efficient way to get more product out. I couldn’t totally tell if that’s what you were doing already, so apologies if this redundant. The droppers can definitely be finicky!

Ahhhhh my favourite person to go to for makeup tips on TH-cam reviewing the OG beauty TH-camr!! I have been so curious about EM Cosmetics and omg they look so beautiful, especially that cushion foundation and the eyeshadow palettes (well...everything looks gorgeous but those two are screaming my name). Like actually though the foundation looks so gorgeous on you. I love it!!
Robert!! At the begining of quarantine I decided to work on my makeup skills and you have been the number one resource for me- I too suffer from oily skin, enjoy a more natural look, have wild dark eyebrows, am not a fan of lip stick, and love a good ghost story 😉previously I fell into the click bait trap of going over the top with foundation and concealer but now my husband has even complimented how much my makeup techniques have improved- thank you for all you do!
Yours aren’t broken. The serum blushes are great but the packaging is awful. You have to pull the dropper halfway out then press the button and it’ll hopefully fill it. I ended up pouring mine into an empty bottle with a regular squeeze top dropper.
I got my serum blush after they re-did the components, and it works better now still not 100% tho, shame the packaging is pretty enough to have on my vanity but I wonder if I would buy again

@@whyhihigh I really hope they pay attention to the comments. I love the formula but the packaging is SO finicky that I didn’t find myself using it because I don’t have much time in the mornings to fuss with it. Once I depotted it into a new bottle I’m using them much more. Not as cute but it doesn’t look too bad in a plain vial.
If you happen to use Algenist’s Liquid Collagen, the dropper is just like that. Push the button in and the fluid will go up into the dropper, allowing to push it again to get it to dispense where you want. It’s really not hard, just different.

I know this was made a while ago, but I have been wanting to try Em Cosmetics for quite some time!! I love the Cushion Foundation from what I’m seeing!! I have dry skin, am 40 and live in a really hot and humid state…and I have been loving skin tints and definitely love the “less is more” beauty look, but want my skin to glow and have radiance!! This seems like it would be perfect and I have been wanting the Clementine blush for so long and the corresponding eye shadow palette!! This all looks so gorgeous and the product line looks so beyond stunning!!
The one thing everyone has said is a negative about this brand is the liquid blushes packaging is a pain and the dropper doesn't work.
It works people just aren't using it correctly.
Only in my dreams one day Robert would do my makeup 💄 sheeeeeesh who else would love that !!!
