So, I did not grow up girly at all. I had given up on wearing makeup, feeling confident in applying makeup, all of it. Called it quits. Until... A friend recommended I watch your channel because you give so many tips, you explain what you do, and even when reacting to possibly cringy things with kindness and humor. In 1 month, I've changed up everything FOR THE BETTER. I have a routine and products that are (admittedly evolving, but) fitting my skin and my face shape better than I've ever been able to achieve. Fun fact: I thought James was your impersonator for a hot second. (Why did he shave a swipe in his Brow? Did it grow in ao fast?? What is going on??) Now I watch your twin videos when I feel sad and all 3 of us just giggle along together. Sorry for being sappy and thanks for the empowerment 💜

In terms of cream products I use and love - Trinny London is where it’s at for me in terms of cream products. BFF De-stress, the cream lip2cheek and flush blushes, and also the sheer shimmers. 🤩

You’ve literally helped me to see how you apply/blend that Danessa Myricks colour fix paint. I purchased some and had a bit of trouble using them. I used my fingers to apply the product and it kept blending away when I tried to layer it. Thanks Rob! I’ll try a synthetic brush next time.

I love the Westman Atelier line from Gucc Westman. Almost all her products come in stick form. The foundation shade range is very narrow (I actually use 0 and 2 mixed but her blushes and highlighters are gorgeous if you light a softer look. Not a good long distance, dramatic (stage) look but beautifully natural up close especially in outside light. If understated is not what you like- you won’t like this line. The blushes are lovely over a tinted moisturizer or very light coverage foundation.
That Milky Way shadow is stunning😍🤩 never really thought about how cream eye shadows needs to be applied differently from powder ones, so this was very interesting!
I've been trying to add more creams into my looks too! especially with the season changing and drying me out. I like using the Lune+Aster creamy cheek duo, and RMS Beauty luminizer and eye polishes 😍

Have you tried one of the mirrors on a goose neck thing (I think that is what they are called) that have a clip on the other end so that you can position your mirror however you like. Also, depending on how far away/where abouts your camera is you could see if you can get one that clips under the lens so you'll be facing the camera while looking in the mirror?
I doubt you’ll see this now, but I bought an iPad arm with a clamp on it and that’s what I use to hold my mirror, so you can pull it closer but still have room on your desk, and you can tilt it however you want. I just bought a square mirror to go in it. The arm thingy that I bought is actually marketed to clamp to your headboard to hold it over you in bed so you don’t have to hold your iPad up. It works like a charm!

I'm curious whether the highlighter dries down completely? I've been after a cream highlighter for a while but it needs to dry down completely and also not disturb the makeup underneath. Also, your 'wearable night out' would be an extremely tame look for me during the day, minus the lashes!
Yea colourpop super shock for sure! Or the liquid highlighter from Lisa Eldridge!! See, this too me is tame but so many people, when I do what I consider natural are like “can you do something actualy wearable” 😂

As you know, Colourpop isn't the easiest to get here in the UK, so not sure it's worth it. It makes sense if people are asking for more toned down looks (I hate the word wearable - if you can put it on your face then it's wearable). It makes sense to show a range of looks from extreme and dramatic to light and simple. 😊
One of the best products Bobbi Brown ever made that was worth the money was their metallic cream eyeshadows. They were easy to apply and blend but had staying power and didn’t crease. I really wish they would bring them back.
That's so weird I did an all cream eye look today for the first time in ages. My favourite cream contour/blush palette is the shein one. It blends like a dream. I've been liking the elf cream putty blush too. Also w7 do a fantastic cream eyeshadow palette called the dreamer eye cushions palette. It only costs like €3 now and it's amazing on its own or as a base. For highlight catrice glowdoscope cream palette is divine.
I literally saw the title and was like "cream products.....oily skin type..... I need to see this!" 😂 I have combination skin with a really oily T-zone so have always avoided cream products because of that oily area. I also had *TERRIBLE* experiences with cream eyeshadows in my "yoof" as we say here in the UK hahaha! They just settled in every crease and wrinkle of the skin and ended up looking like you'd drawn smudgey stripes or had a set of horizontal blinds on your eyelids 🤣🤣🤣 They. Were. Awful! 😂 How does a full face of cream products last on oily or combo skin? I love the look of the cream/putty blushes and bronzers but am worried about my makeup just melting off my face in seconds if I get a bit warm or stand in a patch of sunshine 🤣

With cream blush especially, get yourself any cheap beauty sponge and when it gets oily, tap the dry sponge over like your just applying the products again! It might be a good idea to get a cream that stain shh the e skin slightly rather than stays at a cream/liquid texture!
Im really oily, I got the elf putty bronzer in the contour colour and it dries down matte. I use a fenty stick sometimes aswell and it dries down OK. Also, I recently got one of the blushes from flower beauty and its so nice, it blends really well and it dries down. Also, because I got the femty stix in the little bundle of three with a concealer, contour and highlight I would say the highlight is fine aswell, the shade I've got is just a bit glittery but they seem all fine with oily skin
This was my question too! I wanted to see if he answered it before asking again. I can’t use certain primers either because of the base in the primer has no grip to it for me and makeup slides right off.
I love Illamasqua, I have the highlighter OMG, the lipstick Maneater and a big tub of the hydra veil primer which literally makes your make up (almost completely) oil resistant.
Ahhh love that youre doing this! My skin is so dry i almost exclusively use cream face products… in my experience, they also make sunscreen reapplication easier/look better! 🖤 🧡

OK you’ve opened my mind to cream products and the “dewy” look. As an oily grease-ball I’ve always used powder products because I wanted to be all matte all day.

Canmake Cream Cheeks are divine. They have new “luminous” formula, too. They aren’t overly pigmented so easy to play with.

I'd try phytosurgence cream highlights! they dry down but they're definitely a dense cream highlight. one of my faves currently :)

I love Illamasqua, I have the highlighter OMG, the lipstick Maneater and a big tub of the hydra veil primer which literally makes your make up (almost completely) oil resistant.
