I actually enjoyed this video. Im from Curaçao myself, but I moved to the Netherlands 17 years ago. And yes, the locals have exactly that mentality you spoke about. It's a combination of laziness, the weather, and lack of education. Which saldy keep them in that viscous circle. Regardless, we are very kind ppl. ❤
Sound like you are stating they lazy. Same issue with all Caribbean Islands. I think it’s more of like the locals are not willing to stay up all night and work until 12 or 1am just so tourist can party. They prioritize mental health and normal sleep cycles. Eat healthy so that way they are not depending on government for medication and doctors for surgeries.
@@EduardoBelme my wife and I went there for a week. Even though we stayed at an all inclusive, we shopped and ate off resort often. We only paid over $50USD total for dinner twice. That’s two full meals, and 1-2 drinks each. I would ask around the locals to see where the good places are next time.
The dream of most locals in Curaçao is to work for the government, get permanent contract and look to be entertained rather than sacrifice. Religion also contributes to people being lazy. Why stress? We all will die one day anyway! Jesus will come to save us! Etc. Most people there haven’t traveled much either so they don’t know much..

What if you retire in the United States and want to move there can you and what do you have to do
Google.
Extremely weird attitude towards work-life -balance. People should work less and do more stuff that makes them happy and enjoy life.
How the heck did you spend $52 for three baguettes and 3 teas? Not sure where you went but you got scalped.
Scalped is a soft word compared to how it felt 😂
