The information and details you provided were OUTSTANDING and I think really played a big part in the success of our trip! We visited many of the beaches, restaurants and “spots” you highlighted in your Curaçao videos. So again thank you for the great content and we are looking forward to seeing and exploring your other world travel videos as we consider and plan our next adventure.

    We were there on our honeymoon in 2016. We stayed in a good resort just 20 minuten from the airport. We had a rental car so we saw alot of the island. Friends of ours just build their house over there and if we want we can stay there so hopefully ill be back in Curaçao.

    It is not called Mardi Gras(French) . It is called Karnaval (Papiamentu). Love your review. The old market, for those who may not know, is called Marshe Bieuw or Plaza Bieu. This place is undiscovered and absolutely amazing. Karnaval is a great time to go, so is Seu (harvest, Easter Monday), Christmas and New Year. Get a mini surge protector because the current is not stable. The current is not the same as in the US.

    • @LucasWorldTravel
      @LucasWorldTravel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the surge protector tip. Also, we said Mardi Gras intentionally because we are talking to mostly American tourists who know when Mardi Gras is as it is also celebrated in the US.

    Excellent video...thank you so much for providing it. We will be there the last week of Nov through the first week of Dec. I just found out that the house we are renting has AC in the rooms, but not through the main house. The whole back wall that overlooks the private pool and ocean opens up, as well large side doors on both sides of the living room. It shows temperatures to be in the high 80's to low 90's during the day there. Are we going to be miserable in the house? Is it breezy there to make it bearable?

    • @LucasWorldTravel
      @LucasWorldTravel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, that's very common in the Caribbean, and I think you will be fine. There is a breeze, so it's not unbearable. It will probably be warmer than you are used to, but still enjoyable.

    Thanks, great tips! I have a question for you, did you ever see anyone who worked in the business section of Willemstad? If so, what were they wearing----ever see a suit or other dress clothes? In Utila, business wear is a Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts, and flip flops----but I'd rather have at least some business wear if I need it?

    The rainy season is the best time to visit the island... why is that, you crazy panlomito??? Because IF it rains it is only for 10-30 minutes and the sun will come back in no time. The other reason is that nature is at its best during the rainy season: lush green with flowers everywhere. The worst part of the year is in August/September when it is very hot and dry, so no green nature and you will not be able to walk around in Willemstad during the early afternoon. And on the beach/in the sea you will get burned lobster style while snorkeling.
